*WHEN THE HEDGE BREAKS
*TEXT:
Job 1:10 “Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?”*
Job was a man surrounded—by divine protection, heavenly favor, and spiritual insulation. Even Satan recognized it. In Job 1:10, he doesn’t just accuse the Job of false loyalty; he reveals something profound: God places hedges around His own. These hedges are spiritual boundaries—shields that prevent Satan’s free access into the lives of the righteous.
But suddenly, in a day, the hedge was lifted.
The storms came like a flood—loss of livestock, servants, and tragically, Job’s children. In one moment, Job was secure and celebrated. In the next, he was broken and bewildered. Many believers can relate. Life was good—until the hedge broke.
Here’s the hard truth: God allows tests even for the righteous. But He never allows them without purpose or oversight. Satan can only touch what God permits—and only for a time. When Job lost everything, he didn't lose God. The hedge was broken, but the presence of God remained.
When your hedge breaks—when life caves in unexpectedly—remember this: you’re not alone. If Satan is accusing, God is watching. And even in pain, He has a plan.
Maybe today you feel like Job—hedge shattered, dreams scattered. But be encouraged: God restores. God rebuilds. And God rewards. The broken hedge is not the end of your story.
*Prayer*
Lord, when the hedge breaks, be my refuge. Remind me that nothing touches me without Your permission and purpose.
*Declaration*
I am surrounded by God’s presence—even when the hedge is broken. What the enemy meant for evil, God will use for my lifting in Jesus mighty name Amen 🙏🙏🔥🔥
Good morning great people of God
