Another example of faith is Peter walking on the water (Matthew 14:22–33).

When Peter saw Jesus walking on the sea, he said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."

Jesus replied, "Come."

As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus and believed His Word, he walked on the water. The impossible became possible because of his faith.

But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, fear replaced faith. He took his eyes off Jesus, began to doubt, and immediately started to sink.

Faith keeps us standing, but doubt causes us to fall.

No matter the storms around you, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. As long as your faith remains in Him, He will uphold you.

What is Faith?

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

Faith is complete trust in God. It is believing that God will do what He has promised, even when there is no physical evidence.

Faith does not depend on what the eyes can see; it depends on the Word of God.

A perfect example is the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25–34).

For twelve years, she suffered from her illness, but she believed that if she could only touch the hem of Jesus' garment, she would be healed.

She saw her healing by faith before she experienced it physically. Her faith moved her to action, and Jesus said to her:

"Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace." (Mark 5:34)

True faith believes first, acts on God's Word, and then receives the manifestation.

✨ Introduction

We call ourselves believers but do we truly believe?

If someone asked you today, "Who are you?" your answer would likely be, "I am a believer."

But the question is:

Do you truly believe in Jesus Christ?

Are you living the life of a true Christian, or are you only bearing the name?

Faith is more than words. It is trusting God completely, obeying His Word, and living a life that reflects Christ even when it is not easy.

A true believer is known not only by what they say, but by how they live.

Take a moment to examine yourself:

Are you truly a Christian, or are you only called one?

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith..." 2 Corinthians 13:5
