[1]LATI inu ibu wá li emi kepe ọ, Oluwa.
(A Song of degrees.) Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
[2]Oluwa, gbohùn mi, jẹ ki eti rẹ ki o tẹ́ silẹ si ohùn ẹ̀bẹ mi.
Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
[3]Oluwa, ibaṣepe iwọ a mã sami ẹ̀ṣẹ, Oluwa, tani iba duro?
If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
[4]Nitori idariji wà lọdọ rẹ, ki a le ma bẹ̀ru rẹ.
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
[5]Emi duro dè Oluwa, ọkàn mi duro, ati ninu ọ̀rọ rẹ̀ li emi nṣe ireti.
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
[6]Ọkàn mi duro dè Oluwa, jù awọn ti nṣọ́na owurọ lọ, ani jù awọn ti nṣọ́na owurọ lọ.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
[7]Israeli iwọ ni ireti niti Oluwa: nitori pe lọdọ Oluwa li ãnu wà, ati lọdọ rẹ̀ li ọ̀pọlọpọ idande wà.
Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
[8]On o si da Israeli nidè kuro ninu ẹ̀ṣẹ rẹ̀ gbogbo,
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

TOPIC: DEVELOPING CHRISTIAN HABITS.

TEXT: Philippians 4:8
"For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]." (Amplified).

A habit is something we love doing and constantly do. It is something we often do without thinking about it. We do it without even intending to it because it has become part of lives. No one can be separated from his habits, either good or bad, they are what really define who we are.

Many has erroneously believed that their religious are what define who they are or their personalities, but experience has shown that even though religion has its roles to play in defining who we are, the only thing that really shows our true colours are our habits. We have seen many behaving contrary to the Christian teachings or ethics, and such people finds it difficult exhibit Christian habits or characters.

To some extent, the present generation of Christian looks like "Anything Goes" generation. And anyone who is sensitive and observant enough can easily see this manifesting even in some of our churches and in the lives of many believers. And this has kept the world asking whether we are truly what we call ourselves to be.

Nevertheless, it is important we remind ourselves that a Christian should be known with good, godly and excellent habits and not the opposites. But these habits will not jump on anyone, everyone of us must consciously and deliberately work on them and personally develop them to be part of our lives. For this is good and pleasing unto the Lord. May the Lord help us as we look more into this in Jesus' name.

In the cause of this New month, I want us all to be aligned with our maker because He has promised us Great things that eye 👀 will see and be amazed. I want us to be aligned because He has promised us miracles from all angles, He has promised us victory all over our troubles but only if we come to Him. He is God and He never changes.

I pray that all His promises for us will not bypass any of us in the name of the most High God.
