*Study: WAYS TO RECEIVE POWER*

📖 Anchor Text:
Acts of the Apostles 1:8
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you..."

🔥 *INTRODUCTION*

Power is not noise.
Power is not position.
Power is not title.
Power is the ability to produce results.
In Luke 10:19, Jesus said:
"Behold, I give unto you power…"
God never designed believers to live powerless lives.
Today, we answer one question:
How do we receive divine power?
1️⃣ RECEIVE POWER THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT
📖 Acts of the Apostles 1:8
Power comes after the Holy Ghost comes.
The disciples walked with Jesus for 3½ years — yet He told them:
📖 Luke 24:49
"Tarry… until ye be endued with power from on high."
🔥 Revelation:
Association with Jesus is not enough.
You must be filled with His Spirit.
When the Spirit came in Acts of the Apostles 2:1–4, fearful men became bold witnesses.
How?
Desire Him
Pray for infilling
Yield yourself completely

2️⃣ RECEIVE POWER THROUGH PRAYER
📖 James 5:16
"The effectual fervent prayer… availeth much."
Power flows where prayer rises.
Even Jesus prayed before major manifestations.
📖 Luke 5:16 — He withdrew to pray.
Before Pentecost?
They prayed in one accord (Acts 1:14).
🔥 Revelation:
No prayer, no power.
Little prayer, little power.
Much prayer, much power.
Prayer charges your spiritual battery.

3️⃣ RECEIVE POWER THROUGH THE WORD
📖 Hebrews 4:12
"For the word of God is quick and powerful…"
The Word carries inherent power.
When Jesus was tempted in Matthew 4, He said, “It is written.”
The Word defeated Satan.

Ignorance weakens believers.
Revelation empowers believers.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
Power rises when revelation increases.
Feed on the Word daily.

4️⃣ RECEIVE POWER THROUGH FASTING AND PRAYER

"This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
🔥 WHAT IS PRAYER?
Prayer is:
Communication with God
Petition, worship, intercession
Exercising spiritual authority

Prayer connects you to God’s power.
🔥 WHAT IS FASTING?
Fasting is:
Abstaining from food (or legitimate pleasures)
To humble the flesh
To sharpen spiritual sensitivity
📖 Isaiah 58:6
Fasting does not move God — it aligns you.
📖 Jesus fasted 40 days, then returned in power

5️⃣ RECEIVE POWER THROUGH OBEDIENCE & HOLINESS

"The Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him."
Obedience attracts power.
Sin leaks power.

When Samson lost consecration, he lost power.

THE HIDDEN SPIRITUAL SECRETS OF INTIMACY IN MARRIAGE

Marriage is more than a social contract. It is a covenant, a mystery, and a spiritual union designed by God. Many see the physical side of intimacy, but few understand the spiritual depth behind it.
The Bible calls it a “great mystery.” (Ephesians 5:31-32
Things you need to know about Marriage

🔥 1. Marriage Is a Covenant, Not a Contract

A contract is based on conditions while a covenant is based on commitment.
In Malachi 2:14, marriage is called a covenant before God.
Spiritual Secret:
When a man and woman marry, heaven records it, not all people on planet Earth may notice it that you and your spouse are married. God becomes the third partner.
“A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12
When couples remove God, the cord becomes weak and the wall becomes porous.

Genesis says:
“The two shall become one flesh.” — Genesis 2:24
This is not just physical union. It is:
- Soul connection
- Emotional bonding
- Spiritual merging

That is why misuse of intimacy causes spiritual wounds (1 Cor. 6:16 – from 1 Corinthians).

Psalm 133 says when there is unity, God commands blessing (Psalms 133:1–3).
Marriage intimacy thrives in:

Where there is constant strife, intimacy dies.

The Bible commands husbands to honour their wives (1 Peter 3:7).
- Dishonour blocks prayers.
- Bitterness blocks affection.
- Resentment blocks connection.
- Intimacy flows where there is respect.

🌊 5. Emotional Intimacy Precedes Physical Intimacy
The book of Song of Solomon shows romance, affirmation, admiration, and communication.
Many marriages break because couples:
Stop talking deeply
Stop appreciating each other
Only meet physically but not emotionally
True intimacy is:

Intimacy grows where ego dies.
Don’t fight each other; fight for each other.
The enemy attacks marriages because families shape destinies.
Remember how Genesis begins with marriage — and how Revelation ends with a wedding (Rev. 19). Marriage reflects Christ and the Church.

Marriage mirrors Christ and the Church (Eph. 5).
Intimacy is covenant renewal.

Honour protects prayer life.

BEFORE YOU SLEEP TONIGHT… WHAT IF YOU NEVER WAKE UP?
A SHOCKING REALITY MANY ARE AFRAID TO FACE

Pause for a moment.
Breathe deeply.

And ask yourself honestly…
What if tonight is your last night on earth?

What if you sleep tonight and never wake up?
What if you go to market, embark on a journey, or do your daily work — and it’s the last time?

Have you asked yourself:
Where will my soul be?
What will God say when He sees me? Will I appear in shame or as a faithful servant?
“It is appointed for men to die once, but after this, the judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
Death is certain. Death is sudden. Death gives no notice.

*THE TRUTH ABOUT EARTHLY POSSESSIONS AND FAMILY*

You came alone into this world.
You will leave alone.
You came empty-handed; you will return empty-handed.

The children, the spouse, the money, the wealth — none of these can follow you into eternity.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” — Matthew 6:19-20
Ask yourself: All thilabouror — who is it really for?
All the money you are gathering — what benefit will it be when you die?

*HEAVEN AND HELL ARE REAL*

Heaven is real — a place of eternal joy and communion with God:
“In my Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you.” — John 14:2
“But the righteous shall inherit eternal life.” — Matthew 25:46
Hell is real — a place of eternal torment for those who reject God:
“And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” — Matthew 25:46
“The soul who sins shall die… their fire shall not be quenched.” — Isaiah 66:24
Your eternity will not depend on your wealth, your work, or even your family. It depends on your relationship with Jesus Christ.
CHURCH OR RELIGION DOES NOT SAVE
Being a churchgoer, religious people or participating in rituals cannot save you.

Only a personal relationship with Christ saves.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16

*WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW*

- Acknowledge your sins. Admit you’ve fallen short.
Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

- Repent. Turn away from sin and choose to follow Jesus.
Acts 3:19 – “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”
- Believe in Jesus. Trust in His death and resurrection as payment for your sins.
- Confess Him as Lord. Invite Him into your life:
Prayer Example:
“Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I believe You died for me and rose again. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my life and save my soul. Thank You for eternal life. Amen.”

*FINAL WARNING*

Now that you are still alive, make haste while the sun shines.
Delay is dangerous. Death is unpredictable.
Think deeply. Cry for your soul. Turn to God now, so that when your life ends, you will find yourself on the rightful path.

Share this message. Warn others. Eternity is real. Heaven is for those who accept Christ. Hell is real for those who reject Him.
