*CHANGED FROM GLORY TO GLORY*
*FRIDAY JULY 11, 2025*
*LET GOD FIGHT FOR YOU*
_*All these kings and their lands Joshua conquered in one campaign, because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel (Joshua 10:42, NIV).*_
Joshua, the servant of Moses, did the extraordinary as the leader of Israel, because God was fighting for Israel. He conquered kings, possessed cities and subdued the whole of Canaan. No man was able to withstand him. God was at work, fighting for His people. And since _*"there is no wisdom. nor understanding, nor counsel against the Lord" (Prov. 21:30)*_, it was impossible to defeat Israel.
Now, what is the task in your hand? A project? A bill to pay? A panel to face? A Tenders' Board? A court appearance? A journey? An exam? A strong opposition to face? Turn it over to the Lord. Trust him with all your heart and refuse to lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). He wants to help you. He wants to fight for you. You do not need to struggle all by yourself, and in your own strength. If you will let the Lord take over, the outcome will amaze you, and you will give him all the glory (Psalm 50:15).
How do you then turn that matter over to the Lord?
First, acknowledge you cannot handle it successfully by yourself. Call for His help. Let Him know you need Him and you are turning the matter over to Him (2 Chronicles 20:12).
Secondly, by a heart-felt, sincere prayer; tell the Lord exactly what you want Him to do for you concerning this matter. Find specific Scriptures that promise what you desire and use them to pray to the Lord. Be very specific in your request. Your answer will be as specific as your request (Philippians 4:6-7).
Thirdly, give God praise; worship Him for who He is and for taking over your battle. Rejoice greatly in His presence. The battle is no longer yours. The battle is the Lord's.
Fourthly, listen to whatever the Lord will say to you over the matter. While praying, meditating on the scriptures and praising the Lord, He will give you some specific directives. This may come via 'the still small voice' in your heart, through the words of the scriptures that come alive to you, or through a specific manifestation of the gift of the Holy Spirit. Deep in your heart, you will know that the Lord has spoken. Whatever He says will give you peace (Psalm 85:8, I Kings 19:17).
Finally, whatever God has said to you, just do it. Do it in faith, expecting Him to confirm His word. As you do, you will see God at work and you will glorify His name.
