Part 1
My student asked and I delivered. Which is better, Odù Ifa or horoscope. I won't tell you which is better but teach you what it entails. I am a certified astrologer taught by one of the foreign best.
Below is an explanation on whom Ofun nagbe is, if I was to use horoscope, I'll be Ta**us.
As a tutor and mentor who helps new Omo awo with breaking down their Odù for proper understanding (A paid service), it is important to understand myself thoroughly so I will use myself as an example. Over the years while doing this, I have compiled a document for each Odù and I improve the collection everyday while learning as well.
Read the characteristics of Ofun nagbe, I won't add Ta**us to this.
Horoscope is good if it is your line. With me having the knowledge of Ifa, horoscope is child's play. It is superficial while Odù Ifa is thorough physically and spiritually. While horoscope can give you clue and guidance on some areas, it can not compare to that which your Odù Ifa can do. Horoscope is not for your spiritual life. Odù Ifa is more specific.
The 8 areas listed below can be further broken down.. I can take it one after the other using that Odù to speak of your marriage life, career, emotions, success, challenges etc. And it will be exactly whom you are.
Horoscope won't give such depth and accuracy. I am not condemning horoscope, I have certifications I have not used. If star grazers "aworawo" still existed, they would sit with astrologers, not Babalawo.
I am the wrong person to ask which is better. If you read the 8 mentions below, you will see Ta**us character in them as related to horoscope but what I have below is just surface facts about Ofun nagbe, if I break each down, owners of each Odù marvel. Those lines explain who I am perfectly than horoscope.
OFUN NAGBE
In Ifá tradition, Ofún-Nàgbè is often regarded as a deep and spiritually weighty Odù. People born under this Odù are usually seen as individuals carrying a mixture of wisdom, mystery, destiny, authority, and spiritual sensitivity. They often stand out naturally, even when they try to live quietly.
1. Spiritually Powerful and Intuitive
A person of Ofún Nàgbè is often believed to possess:
* strong intuition,
* prophetic dreams,
* spiritual awareness,
* natural connection with ancestors and Òrìṣà.
Such people may “sense” things before they happen. Ifá often warns them not to ignore their inner voice.
2. Born for Leadership and Influence
This Odù is associated with dignity and presence. Even from a young age:
* people may naturally respect them,
* others may seek their counsel,
* they may carry an aura of authority.
However, leadership under this Odù works best when accompanied by humility and good character (ìwà pẹ̀lẹ́).
3. Strong-Willed but Emotionally Deep
Ofún Nàgbè people are usually:
* emotionally intense,
* determined,
* difficult to manipulate,
* protective of their dignity.
But inwardly, they may carry hidden emotional burdens and disappointments. They often suffer silently.

This Odù frequently speaks of:

Yet the success usually come after trials, delays, betrayals, or periods of loneliness. Their life path often improves significantly with age and spiritual discipline.
5. Highly Sensitive to Betrayal and Negative Energy
Traditional teachings warn that Ofún Nàgbè people:
* attract jealousy,
* may face hidden enemies,
* should be careful about who they trust.
Because of this, spiritual protection, honesty, and careful associations are emphasized strongly.
6. Lovers of Beauty, Elegance, and Respect
People under this Odù are often drawn to:
* beautiful clothing,
* refined living,
* dignity,
* order,
* meaningful relationships.
They usually dislike disrespect or chaotic environments.
7. Relationship and Love
In love, Ofún Nàgbè people can be:
* loyal,
* nurturing,
* deeply committed,
* emotionally giving.
But Ifá warns against:
* over-sacrificing,
* loving the wrong people,
* staying too long where they are not valued.
They need partners who respect both their emotional depth and spiritual nature.
8. Major Spiritual Lessons of Ofún Nàgbè
This Odù often teaches:
* patience,
* emotional control,
* wisdom before anger,
* avoiding pride,
* maintaining spiritual cleanliness.
A person with this Odù rises higher when they avoid unnecessary conflicts and remain truthful.
One traditional theme often associated with Ofún Nàgbè is:
“The person mocked today may become the one honored tomorrow.”
It is an Odù of hidden greatness unfolding with time.
