ONE FORMER MINISTER IN CHARGE OF ABUJA PULLED DOWN 15 (FIFTEEN) REDEEMED CHURCHES IN ABUJA WITHIN TWO WEEKS
You know, I made a discovery: that you are where you are today, you are as small as you are today, because you have not been praising God enough.
I will tell you just one story; some of you know the story. When we wanted to start a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Abuja, we wanted to start one so we decided that we will hold Holy Ghost Services over a weekend, whatever souls we can gather together, we will put them together to start the Church. Since we had nowhere to stay, I stayed in a hotel, so we could use the Conference centre for the program. I got there ready to pray, ready to fast. Pray, God will start at least something little in Abuja. I got there and began to pray, "Almighty God, you know why I am here. I am not asking for clothes, I am not asking for a car, I am asking for souls. Help me! Tonight, as we begin, save souls, heal the sick, etcetera."
Suddenly I heard God say, "shut up!" When I heard him say, shut up, I was glad. "How can you be glad when he says shut up?" At least I know he has heard me. Means everything I was saying, he was listening. Shut up! "Save souls, heal the sick, perform miracles, do this, do that. Am I your house boy?" All that I've done for you thus far, you haven't even said, thank you. "Ah! Thank you Lord!" He said, "shut up! For the next three days I don't want to hear anything from you other than praise." "Okay Sir! Thank you Lord! Father, thank you for what you have done in Lagos, thank you for what you are doing in Ibadan but tonight..." "Ehh ehh! Shut up! What I want to hear from you is praise me, thank me for what I have done." It was difficult - for 3 days, I was doing nothing other than, thank you Jesus! Glory be to your holy name. King of kings, Lord of lords... and He was enjoying it.
Some years ago, because at the end He said, "okay Son, all you have seen thus far is addition. Now I am about to begin to give you multiplication" - and a mathematician knows the difference.
Some years ago, one former minister in charge of Abuja pulled down 15 (fifteen) Redeemed Churches in Abuja within two weeks. But do you know? We didn't notice because there were many others. Last month, I was in the same Abuja for Abuja Holy Ghost Service. The crowd there will be like a small Congress.
So, even if you don't want to praise Him for what He has done, but something within you is telling you, "your time has come." One of the verses of that song says, "as far as stagnation is concerned, that is over." That song says your promotion is going to be rapid. If I were you, tonight I would praise Him. Maybe if you praise Him for just one hour, you might suddenly discover before the end of the year that where you have been stagnant, you're already moving forward.
You know what? I'm not going to even make an altar call tonight because I know that if you praise Him like you ought to praise Him, He will do something about your life, your soul!
