*Life, Hmm…*

To some, life is great and good.
To others, it’s a battlefield.
Some see it as a blessing and drink it to the full.
Some have seen so much evil they no longer wish to live.
Some are born with privilege; others are not.
Some work hard and eat the fruit of their labor.
Some work harder and still go hungry.
Some work little and have everything.
Some never work, yet lack nothing.

Some get money and squander it.
Some never see money except on the day of sorrow.

Some bear children early, yet never live to see the reward.
Some pray for a child, give birth, and never live to hold the answer to their prayer.
Some pray for greatness, and it comes only after they’re gone.
Some have no children, yet never lack good things.

Some give everything in life, yet still have no peace.
Some rise early, only to end poor later.
One man’s prayer request is another man’s breakfast.

On a mountain I heard a pastor’s prayer request, and I pitied his congregation: all he asked of God was that his members keep giving. Hmm…

I see a blind man who sees the way and the future.
I see a king in his majesty who doesn’t know what tomorrow holds.
A poor man with integrity is better than a dubious king, yet people follow the king and reject the honest man.

It’s a life where honesty can keep you poor and imprisoned,
while crooked ways can earn you a crown.
But I believe God stands with the pious, with the man of integrity.
He may suffer for doing right, but I am assured: God still reigns in His holy dwelling.

Life is as light as gossamer and as heavy as lead — it depends on how you see it and how you live in it.
Being rich doesn’t guarantee you’ll enjoy it.
Being poor doesn’t mean you can’t. God determines it.
Even the wall gecko lives in the palace.
So a man rich in faith is rich in all things.
Faith and work will make life light for the poor man,
and the prosperity of the wicked will trap them

*THEME: LIFE IS A STAGE — GOD IS THE EDITOR*
_“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”_ — *Ecclesiastes 3:1*

*1. The Stages: Life Unfolds Differently for All*
Life unfolds in different ways for each of us, at different times.
Some experience certain stages early and understand them at a deep level.
Some remain at one level for too long due to comfort, failure, or lack of wisdom.
Others seem to repeat one stage of life in different forms.
*Ecclesiastes 9:11* — _The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong… but time and chance happeneth to them all._

We all dream of being great early in life.
Truly, a few dream it and achieve it quickly.
Some desire it but only receive it late in life.
Some get it at the normal time.
Others never see it come to fruition at all.
*Psalm 31:15* — _My times are in thy hand._

I ponder these stages called life, and at first glance it looks like misery. But the truth is: _Life is good when God gives you reuason to see it that way._
*Psalm 34:8* — _O taste and see that the Lord is good._

*2. The Misplaced Desires: What Men Chase*
To the poor, he thinks all he needs to be well and enjoy life is money, so he tailors his desires toward getting it without understanding life.
*Luke 12:15* — _A man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth._

To the afflicted, all he wants is for the affliction to leave him.
To those on a sick bed, his desire is to sell all his belongings in exchange for sound health.
*Mark 8:36* — _For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?_

To the wealthy, he keeps storing wealth without knowledge until life teaches him what truly matters.
*Ecclesiastes 5:10* — _He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver._

To singles, he thinks marriage is the next thing — and it is good, for _it is not good that man should be alone_ *Genesis 2:18*. But the truth is: if singlehood is of God, you stay that way until the Lord provides a partner.
*1 Corinthians 7:7* — _Every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that._

To the jobless, he thinks having a good job will end his problems, only to be surprised by life.
*Proverbs 23:5* — _Riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle._

*3. The Riddles: When Life Breaks Our Logic*
I wonder when I saw a baby with a hole in his heart and the mother couldn’t afford treatment. If she were barren, she might curse God. But here it is — life, and it surprises.
*John 9:3* — _Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him._

I hear of a brother who was very poor and lazy, but God eventually blessed him. Before he was blessed, he said he wouldn’t give while in poverty. He lives abroad now, only to give birth at 50+ to a child with challenges. That’s life.
*Deuteronomy 8:18* — _But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth._

Then I saw a brother whom God blessed with wisdom to solve problems, but his own life is a riddle to him. Even men of God couldn’t offer a solution. Seeing him alone gives them problems, and all they could say was, “God is with him.”
*2 Corinthians 12:9* — _My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness._

Life keeps one part and releases other parts.
I see someone blessed early who enjoys it for a very long time in vitality.
Then I see someone blessed who dies shortly after being blessed.
I also see someone who has more than enough but is wallowing in sickness. The power to enjoy wealth is taken from him.
*Ecclesiastes 6:2* — _A man to whom God hath given riches... yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof._

Here comes a man not reckoned with, but each time he desires or needs something, God hastens to help him. He lives without lacking any good thing. His brook has never run dry, and he hasn’t really borrowed money in his entire life — but one thing eludes him.
*Psalm 34:10* — _They that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing._

I also saw a poor, sick woman who found God’s favor but wasn’t left by God after her salvation.
And I see a man, holy and dedicated, who trusted God but was not healed and died. That’s life.
*Hebrews 11:39* — _And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise._

A lady in my area aborted more than 10 pregnancies and lived as a harlot. She married the best, hardworking guy and gave birth without stress or delay.
Then comes a virgin who married as a virgin, but nothing came out of the union except pain and sorrow.
*Psalm 73:12-14* — _Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world... Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain._

Hmm… life, life.

*4. The Truth: The Editor Decides*
Here it is: Life is nothing but life. Each day is full of evil, and nobody deserves anything.
*Matthew 6:34* — _Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof._
*Romans 3:23* — _For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God._

The Editor of the game called life is the One who decides how the game will unfold — to His glory.
*Daniel 4:35* — _He doeth according to his will... and none can stay his hand._
*Isaiah 45:9* — _Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou?_

Never mock anyone in life.
Someone once mocked a man, saying, “Despite all your wisdom and knowle1ge, I wonder why you are so poor.” But the Lord answered on his behalf: “You are rich, but sickness and affliction too will live in your life. Then you will know life is a riddle.”
*Galatians 6:7* — _Be not deceived; God is not mocked._
*Job 12:5* — _He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease._

*5. The Prayer: God Is Everything*
To the prayerful: May God help us see the answer to your prayer.
To those that are sick: My God will heal you. *Jeremiah 30:17*
To those who are poor: The Lord will lift you up. *1 Samuel 2:8*
To those seeking the Lord: May you find Him early. *Proverbs 8:17*
To the barren: Children will surround your table. *Psalm 128:3*
To those in one prison or the other: God will open your prison and give you comfort. *Psalm 146:7*

Life is vanity, but God is Everything. So in life, I desire Everything — which is God.
*Ecclesiastes 1:2* — _Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity._
*Psalm 73:25* — _Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee._

You may kill me, take all, but you can’t take my God. For it is written:
*Romans 8:38-39* — _What can separate me from the love of God?_

And the truth is: We don’t really own anything in life — if you care to listen to the voice of the Lord your God.
*Job 1:21* — _Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

A Good Record Before God*

“For God shall bring every work into judgment.”_ *Ecclesiastes 12:14*

Too many Christians expect blessing without obedience. But *James 2:17* says _faith without works is dead_. Heaven keeps records. *Revelation 20:12* — the books were opened._

What’s in your record?
Demanding bribes before you help? *Micah 3:11*
Delaying workers’ wages? *James 5:4*
Silent when the innocent suffer? *Proverbs 31:8*
Refusing to help because they can’t repay you? *Luke 14:14*

*Proverbs 21:13* warns: _Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be heard._ If your life is an abomination, your prayer becomes one too. *Proverbs 28:9*

So let your light shine — not for profit, not for cameras. *Matthew 5:16* — _Let your light so shine... that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father._
Do good, expecting nothing back. *Luke 6:35*
When the Lord opens the books, I pray you find favor.
*2 Corinthians 5:10* — _We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.

*CLOSING PRAYER*

Father in Heaven,
You are the righteous Judge who sees in secret and rewards openly. We come before You with broken and contrite hearts.

Forgive us where we have called ourselves Yours, yet denied You by our works. Forgive us for bribes taken, wages delayed, justice ignored, and brothers neglected because they could not repay us.

Lord, wash our records clean by the blood of Jesus. Create in us a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us. Let our faith be alive — working by love, not seeking profit.

Teach us to do good without attachment, to give without counting, to serve without applause. Let our light so shine that men see You, not us.

When the books are opened, let mercy triumph over judgment for us. Establish the work of our hands, and let Your favor rest upon us as we go out and come in.

“Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.”
- Isaiah 61:7

The quote in the image is not the original verse. Isaiah 61:7 is about restoration after shame, not specifically “God will put you back together right in front of the people who hurt you.” Still, the theme of restoration is real. Think of Job. He lost children, health, peace, stability, and public dignity. People around him judged him, misunderstood him, and even spoke carelessly into his pain. Yet the end of his story was not humiliation. God restored him. That does not mean every restoration looks public or dramatic. Sometimes God restores a person quietly, rebuilding the soul before He rebuilds visible circumstances. But the principle stands: shame is not the final word when God is involved. He can replace disgrace with strength, confusion with clarity, and sorrow with joy. The world may remember your breaking point, but God is able to write a stronger ending than your worst chapter. What was damaged in one season is not beyond His power to renew. 🙏

Don’t seek preeminence from the Lord, nor the seat of honor from the king.

God Provides
Have you heard promises from others that if you follow their way of life, or even donate to their organization, your life will be filled with blessings, money, success and prestige? This is far too common, sadly, and it often ends badly.

Many very popular leaders say that following Jesus is a way to ensure God's blessings for physical health and material wealth—your best possible life in the here-and-now. The Bible tells us that this teaching comes from corrupt minds that are empty of truth:

"These arguers—their minds warped by sin—don’t know how to tell the truth; to them the Good News is just a means of making money. Keep away from them." (1 Timothy 6:5, TLB)

When our desire to follow God is based on how He might make our lives easier or more successful, we are missing the point.

God knows it is an empty person who only seeks Him to obtain these things. They cannot really satisfy us. The most important things in life are not for sale. He invites you to enjoy His approval, forgiveness, protection and eternal life with Him.

He broke down the barrier between you and Himself — the violations of His commandments — by carrying out the punishment you deserve on a substitute: Jesus Christ. When God Himself became a man in the person of Jesus, He served God perfectly and resisted all temptation. His resurrection proved God's justice had been satisfied.

If Jesus paid such a high price for your acceptance, what do you have to do to receive it? It's a free gift you receive by receiving Christ as Lord!

"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

"… to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them" (John 1:12)

The time is now. (2 Corinthians 6:2) "Seek the Lord while you can find Him. Call upon Him now while He is near." (Isaiah 55:6)

Theme: The Lord is not finished with me.

Most times, when trouble, infirmity, depression, a dying situation, or even the death of some aspect of life and life itself overwhelms us, God is not finished with us, even to the point of death and in death. God's power is able to raise the deadness in us. His gift is irrevocable, and He is merciful to reinstate us.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

My brothers and sisters in the Lord, your situation right now may not be good indeed. It may be tending towards shame and reproach, or you may be hanging in there for salvation to come until your last breath. In these hard times we are in, where mercy among humans is rare, God is still on the lookout for whom to strengthen, and these are the tribe of Jacob that seeks His face.

Hmmm, my brethren, you might have lost everything in just a short time, like Job. You might have lost your job, your family, your career, and all you might have worked for in your entire life, but I have good news for you: "God is not finished with you."

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

You may be on stage four cancer, and the clock is ticking towards death, but I tell you, God is not finished with you. You may be experiencing a financial crisis and be indebted in several ways, and your children are being made collateral for debt. I will say, God is not finished with you.

You heard a report that, like Jairus, your only hope is dead. I will say still, God is not finished with you.

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Elisha, who once healed the sick, raised the dead, turned poison food sweet, healed bitter water, etc., eventually fell to sickness and died with all his power, without celebration – a transition and a death not worthy of a prophet with a double portion of the anointing of his master. His passing was shameful to human eyes, but God has a plan, testimony, and story to tell concerning him. He was dead and buried like anyone, but God's power never left him, despite his body rotting, and what was left of him was ordinary bones without life, forgotten. But a day came when the Lord announced him to another generation, even in his death.

Raiders were raiding, and a dead man was being carried for burial, but those who wanted to bury the dead man saw swords and life-threatening situations, so they dumped the dead man in Elisha's tomb. The unspeakable, unimaginable, and unthinkable happened: the dead man came to life and lived again.

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31

On this note, I declare that your God will fashion a great end from your situation, irrespective of how bad and terrible it may look. Your mayhem will turn to payday. Your sorrow will end in joy. Your barren land will flow with milk and honey. Rivers of water will break out from your dry ground. God will give water out of a dry rock. Your infirmity will be an occasion for your testimony. The Lord will give you back what you have lost sevenfold. And for those who have lost nothing, God will increase and protect you for good.

The Lord is not finished with you, even if you are finished with yourself, and the world has written you off. If you believe, type Amen .
