WHAT IS TRUTH?
Pilate asked Jesus 'what is truth?' but no answer was forthcoming, the problem of what truth is have bemused so many scholars, and this has led to the relative, subjective and perspectival notion of truth.
We should know as St. Augustine tells us that "truth is an entity, one, eternal and unchanging. The human mind does not invent it, it only discovers it, and once it is discovered by the human mind, it imposes itself on it" thus, the truth is God, God in Jesus Christ became an entity, became a person, little wonder, Jesus affirms in John 14 v 6 "I am the way, the truth and the life...", Jesus Christ is the truth, consequently, John 17 v 6 affirms that"... your word is truth", who is this word that Jesus was referring to, we take our step back to the beginning of the Gospel of John, John 1 v 1-18, a thorough understanding of the passage brings to mind that the word was Jesus Christ who became flesh and dwelt among us, hence, "your word is truth" simply is "Jesus Christ is truth", thus, the truth is a person, who is Jesus Christ, and if you are far from him, you are far from the truth and the world would continually deceive.
If Jesus Christ as truth is used as the basis of all discussion, then, all the erroneous notions of truth which we have would all subside.

Thanksgiving is very important, a person that does not give thanks is tantamount to a thief,giving God thanks does not add to him but add to who we are.

The time has come when we need to go back into our inner self and ask ourselves some salient questions that will spur us into the new year, if not, we would be like the man who built upon sand and when it rained and the wave blew, it carried it away. Many times, Christians always have the impression that spiritual authority comes by how long you can pray and fast. It goes beyond that. It is more of how much you can obey, sacrifice, humble and meek before God.
