There is a battle within every believer.

The flesh constantly pulls in one direction, but the Spirit leads in another. According to Epistle to the Galatians 5:16–18, the key is not pretending the struggle does not exist, but continually yielding yourself to the leading of the Spirit of God.

The desires of the flesh are real, but so is the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus became the atonement for sin, fulfilling what animal sacrifices could never completely accomplish. Because of His sacrifice, we now stand under a new covenant where forgiveness, purity, and fellowship with God are made possible.
