For each other
There is a Messi because there is a Ronaldo.
There is a Ronaldo because there is a Messi.
These guys are who they are because of the challenges they pose to each other. The challenges bring out the best in each of them.
Who will retire first?

IT WILL RESULT IN JOY
Read John 16:16-22
Verse for Meditation: "A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world” (Joh 16:21)
Have you ever seen a man in labour before? A woman who is about to deliver a baby is a serious sight to behold! Perhaps you have gone through it as a mother. I was always with my wife each time she went through it. Scientists have described the pain at that moment as the pain of several bones being broken at the same time! But that pain is what produced all of us!
The way of pain is the way of gain for those who love the Lord.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Rom 8:28)
When Jesus started to announce the program of His departure to His disciples, it was not easy for them at all. It was not easy for Jesus to go to the cross. But the way of the cross is the way of salvation for all humanity. Without the cross of Jesus, the entire human race would not cross from darkness to light.
Beloved, endure the pain; your gains will soon manifest. The raw gold must endure the pain of refining for its glory to manifest. The pain is for a season and a purpose. Like the labour pain, it will surely lead to something great.
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Pet 1:6-7)
“But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10)
Draw your strength from the Lord when you are in the furnace of affliction. Trust Him that He will never abandon you in your trouble. Believe that you are going somewhere and that He will not abandon you on the way. Endure affliction as a true soldier of the Lord. It will soon end.
But ensure that your pains are not self-inflicted. Many have inflicted pains on themselves because of rebellion, disobedience, wrong judgments, and faulty decisions. Be sure your pain is not the product of your ignorance and carelessness. Not all pains lead to gain. Some, because they are self-inflicted, lead to more pain and deeper frustration. So, be careful how you define what you are going through. Do not be the devil in your own life.
If you discover you are the source of your pain, there is still hope for you. Go to God in true repentance and ask for His help. If your repentance is sincere and genuine, He will help you. He is a forgiving God.

Today’s Prayers
1. Appreciate God for the solution to all your problems in the past and for the help that is coming now.
2. Father, show me Your mercy. Deliver me from this furnace of affliction now, in Jesus name.
3. Powers of Hell, prolonging troubles and pains in my life, crash now and disappear from me in Jesus name.
4. Hands of God, open and bring urgent help to my life in Jesus name.
5. Lord, raise me as a help source for many in my generation from today in Jesus name.
Your pain is ending now, and a new season is beginning today in Jesus name.
You will not be consumed in your situation. You will live to tell the story of it with joy and praise in Jesus name.
Have a blessed week.
Shalom!

SACRIFICE OF LOVE
Read John 12:1-11
Verse for Meditation: “Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil” (Joh 12:3)
The number one proof of love is sacrifice. Those who truly love make sacrifices in the direction of their love. Even when God loves, He gave His only begotten Son.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (Joh 3:16)
Some people profess love only when they have something to receive from you. As long as you are a source of blessing, as long as they have something to suck from your life, they are singing your praise to high heaven. They are there only to receive but never to release.
Mary, no doubt, has been helped by Jesus. Jesus restored back to life her brother who is dear to her. In return, she expressed her love to Jesus by blessing Him with a very expensive oil. This might have cost Mary a fortune, possibly all her savings.
To people like Judas Iscariot, it was a waste. But to Jesus, it was an expression of love. If you love, give. You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.
Look out for the people who have been sources of blessing to your life, and do something to say, “I appreciate you”. Many church people remember their pastors only when they need prayer assistance. Once they put a call through to their pastor, the man of God understands that there is a problem. This is not good enough.
Beloved, do not be like the Dead Sea, which receives but never gives. That is why it is called the Dead Sea. It cannot support life; there is no living being inside it except people who go there to float. It is the most selfish body of water in the world. It is also the lowest place on earth.
Beware also men like Judas Iscariot who criticize your genuine expression of love. Beware of people who tell you that blessing people you love is a waste. Such men are enemies of promotion and testimony. Move away from them.
See, you may not have a million or even a thousand to give to people who labour over you, but you can put a call through to them to say thank you. Yesterday, I received a message from one of my biological daughters expressing her appreciation for all my sacrifices for her. She praised God and appreciated me. She made my day. I felt relieved and happy. Your parents, spiritual and biological, are waiting for such messages from you. If you can add something material, do.
“I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35)

Today’s Prayers
1. Appreciate God for all He has done, all He is doing, and all He will do in your life. Appreciate Him for all the good people around your life.
2. Father, make me a vessel of blessing and not a reservoir to hoard blessings in Jesus name.
3. Every secret agendum from the pit of Hell against my life, scatter today in Jesus name.
4. Father, expose all enemies of progress around my life today and disgrace them out of my life in Jesus name.
The Lord shall raise you as a blessing source to your generation in Jesus name.
Darkness shall have no hiding place in and around your life from today in Jesus name.
Happy Sunday.
Shalom!

WHO IS YOUR GUARDIAN?
Read John 16:7-15
Verse for Meditation: "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (Joh 16:13)
The church of Jesus Christ is put under the watchful eyes of the Holy Spirit until the time of the rapture of the saints. The Holy Spirit is the caregiver, the comforter, and the helper who is in charge of the church till the end of the dispensation of grace.
After fulfilling His mandate of salvation, the Son handed over to the Holy Spirit. The operation of each believer in this world of sin and the operation of the church as the body of Christ on earth is not possible without the enabling power, comfort, and assistance of the Holy Spirit. The coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost marks the inauguration of the church. The church cannot exist without the Holy Spirit. That was why the Master said:
"Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high" (Luke 24:49)
Unfortunately, the attention of modern believers has been shifted from the Holy Spirit to “fathers in the Lord”. An average believer of today is a stranger to the Holy Spirit. He is made to believe that speaking in tongues is all that matters in the matter of the Holy Spirit. Whereas, the Holy Spirit is the guardian that every believer needs to navigate the dangerous path of this life.
There is no better teacher who will reveal the mind of God to us than the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit also provides the necessary comfort and assistance in dangerous and challenging moments of life. The Holy Spirit reveals the deep things of God to us and guides us into all truth in a world full of errors and deceptions. The Holy Spirit provides us the compass to navigate the narrow way as we journey back to our Creator.
Do you have the Holy Spirit in you? Do you relate with Him on a constant basis? When last did you hear from Him? Does He speak to you as a friend and a companion? Or do you just speak in tongues and feel that is all about the Holy Spirit?
The reason why many will not help you to discover the Holy Spirit personally is because that will free you from depending on any man. Once you can relate with the Holy Spirit personally, you will not need any human intermediary again in your relationship with God.
See, the truth is that you are entitled to the Holy Spirit just like any prophet is.
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy” (Act 2:17-18)
If you want to know more about the Holy Spirit, ask me questions about Him.
You need Him in your life and your journey. He is the dependable guardian, helper, and comforter that you need now and always. Seek Him until He is present in your life. A believer is empty and vulnerable without the Holy Spirit.

Today’s Prayers
1. Appreciate the Lord for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in believers and the church as a body.
2. Father, let Your Spirit take over in my life today in Jesus name.
3. Light of God, shine on my path today and destroy everything pertaining to darkness in my life in Jesus name.
4. Hand of God, uproot me from all my troubles and uproot all my troubles from me today in Jesus name.
5. All arrangement of the kingdom of darkness to destroy me, scatter this moment in Jesus name.
I declare today the day of your help in Jesus name.
The Lord will send help and encouragement to you from today in Jesus name.
Enjoy your weekend.
Shalom!

THE BATTLE OF LIGHT AND DARKNESS
Read John 16:1-6
Verse for Meditation: "They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service” (Joh 16:2)
From the time of Adam, there is an unending battle between light and darkness. Abel did nothing in particular that warranted his death. It was the battle between light and darkness that claimed his light. He died just because he chose to be on the side of the truth.
Why did the brothers of Joseph hate him so much? Why did Saul, the first king of Israel, waste so much time pursuing David? Why did Herod Antipas use the head of John the Baptist as a souvenir? Why did Stephen die a painful death in the hands of the people of his nation? Why did Caiaphas and his team prefer Barabbas to Jesus? The answer is the same; it was the battle of light and darkness.
It is not possible for you to belong to the camp of the light and not have darkness to contend with. The Master did not promise us a battle-free life; He only assured us victory all the time.
"If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also” (Joh 15:19-20)
Those who are afraid of opposition from the world cannot have a position in Christ. If you are accepted by all in the world, it means that you are standing for nothing in particular.
It is important that you do not go everywhere making enemies out of everybody. Do all you can to avoid self-inflicted injuries and self-imposed enemies. Do your best to present your best to all. Be a light in the midst of the dark world.
“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled” (Heb 12:14-15)
Having done all you can to be a friend to all, do not be afraid of those who chose to stand in positions of enemies. God that you are standing for is able and will surely deliver you.
The worst opposition you are facing for standing for the truth may be from among the religious people, the church people. This is not strange at all; Jesus was handed over to Pilate by the head of the religious people of His day. This opposition must never lead you to compromise. Stand for the truth and stand tall. If you are not ready to die for the truth you believe in, you are yet to be a man of conviction. Stand for the truth, and the Truth will always stand for and with you.

Today’s Prayers

1. Appreciate the Lord for the gift of today and the peace in your life and your environment.
2. Father, deliver me from a life of compromise today. Help me to stand at all times for you and the truth in Jesus name.
3. Powers of darkness, rising against me for my faith, collapse now in Jesus name.
4. Strength of the Almighty, come to my life afresh today in Jesus name.
5. Lord, arise and help my life. Supply all my needs today in Jesus name.
The Lord will fight all your battles and give you total victory from today in Jesus name.
Those who stand against you shall surely fall for your sake in Jesus name.
Have a great day.
Shalom!

THE HELPER YOU NEED
Read John 15:20-27
Verse for Meditation: "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me” (Joh 15:26)
Every man needs help one way or the other and at one time or the other. Even the strongest among us need help. No matter how strong you are, you will be weak somehow, somewhere. At your weak point and in your weak situation, you will certainly need help.
In the journey of life, we all need strong companionship; we need someone who will walk by our sides, giving us comfort in times of trouble and strength in times of challenges.
Good enough, that is what the Master promised us.
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you” (Joh 17:7).
That Helper is the Holy Spirit. He is our comforter in times of trouble, our support when we are weak; He is our defense in the midst of battles, our counsellor during confusion, and our advocate in the presence of the Father.
A Christian without the Holy Spirit is like a car without an engine; it is as good as being useless. The reason why many believers struggle and are in constant frustration is because they are yet to discover and fully actualize the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
If the Holy Spirit is present in your life, you can never fall into deception.
“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him” (1 Joh 2:27)
If the Holy Spirit is present in your life, you will never lose your direction or be misled. The Holy Spirit will always reveal the mind of God to you.
“But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” (1 Cor 2:9-10)
You have a right to the effective companionship of the Holy Spirit. Invite Him into your life today. He is the source of my strength. He is the secret behind all my smiles, whatever happens. He is the best friend who will not desert me in times of trouble. He can also be there for you if you make Him your companion and helper.

Today’s Prayers
1. Praise God for the gift of the Holy Spirit and all He will do in your life from today.
2. Spirit of God, I hand over my life to You. Take over from today in Jesus name.
3. Powers of oppression around my life, be wasted today in Jesus name.
4. All weapons gathered from the Kingdom of darkness to destroy me, be consumed by the fire of God today in Jesus name.
5. Father, arise for the needs of my life and those of my family today in Jesus name.
I command all frustrations to disappear from your life this moment in Jesus name.
Your help from God shall not fail in Jesus name.
Have a great day.
Shalom!

YOU ARE NOT OF THEM
Read John 15:18-25
Verse for Meditation: "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you” (Joh 15:19)
The Bible draws a clear line in the relationship of the saints with the world. We are made to understand that although we live in the world, we are not of the world. We are called out of the world, from the darkness of the world, to manifest the light of God. We are chosen from the world to farm a holy nation of God in the world.
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy” (1 Pet 2:9-10)
Having been delivered from the darkness of the world, we are to turn our back to the complex things of the world, which are of darkness.
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 Joh 2:15)
The world and its system are oppressive; hence, as a man opens his heart to the things of the world, he loses his freedom in the world. You cannot love the things of the world without being a slave to the world. The world is the master to those who love it. Since a man cannot have to masters, you cannot maintain a balance between your love for the world and your love for God.
“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God” (jam 4:4)
The Master was so clear about it: the world hates us because we do not belong. We are not to be bothered about the hatred of the world. The reason for this hatred is that as light in the world, we will always expose the evil in the world. Once the world begins to love and embrace you as a child of God, there is a problem somewhere. Once a lamp so blend with darkness that you can no longer recognize its difference, that lamp has lost its light.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Rom 12:2)
Once there is a pull in your heart towards the things of this world, you need to cry out to God. You cannot pretend for a long time. In every alliance between the world and the children of God, the child of God will always be a loser. Please be warned!

Today’s Prayers
1. Appreciate the Lord for the gift of his word, which has the power to deliver from all forms of captivity.
2. Father, deliver me from all entanglements of the world today in Jesus name.
3. Powers of the world pulling my life down, be destroyed totally now in Jesus name.
4. Fresh grace to stand in and for the light, rest upon me today in Jesus name.
5. Father, open the heaven for a fresh supply of goodness into my life today in Jesus name.
Darkness shall never prevail over your soul in Jesus name.
The grace of God will abide more and more with you from today in Jesus name.
Enjoy an amazing day.
Shalom!

FULFIL YOU PURPOSE
Read John 15:9-17
Verse for Meditation: "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you” (Joh 15:16)
One of the reasons why every child of God should always appreciate God is the fact that He chose us. We did not become His people because we are wiser than all others who have not. It is not our smartness that made us His people but His choice. We should always praise Him because there are far better people out there who are not chosen by Him. He chose us and made us His people.
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy” (1 Per 2:9-10).
Why did God choose us? He did so for us to go and produce fruits. He chose us so that our lives will be assets to His Kingdom. He chose us and made us His people so that through us, His love shall be extended to all others in this world.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen (Mat 28:19-20).
Unfortunately, many of us are so selfish that we see the whole world in the light of ourselves only. All that many of us think about and are concerned about is how God will deliver the whole world into our hands!
Have you ever thought about the reason why God has beautified your life like this? Are you thinking about your responsibility to God? Why did God transform your life and establish you in His Kingdom?
See, you must fulfill the purpose of God. You must come out of your myopic view and be an asset for the Kingdom of God. You can start now where you are by sharing the light of God with your immediate neighbours and friends. I am doing mine by bringing these messages to you every morning. Also, do your own. Fulfill the purpose of the choice of God over your life.

Today’s Prayers
1. Praise God and appreciate Him for choosing you among billions in the world.
2. Tell God you are sorry for failing Him in the past and tell Him you repent today.
3. Father, ignite fresh fire in my heart to stand for You everywhere I find myself from today in Jesus name.
4. Powers of failure in my life, you are defeated totally from today in Jesus name.
5. I will rise above all the challenges of my life by the power of the Almighty from today. I am a winner all the time in the name of Jesus.
I command all yokes of frustration to break from your life from today in Jesus name.
The Lord shall honour your faith in Him with many mighty miracles from today in Jesus name.
Have a blessed and fruitful day in God’s presence.
It is well with you.
Shalom!

THE SECRET OF LASTING JOY
Read John 15:9-17
Verse for Meditation: "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (Joh 15:11)
We are in a world full of challenges and troubles. Many are the issues of life that put pressure on our lives. Man is always in the midst of battles; as you are winning one, another one is showing up. There are really tough times in this world.
In the midst of these challenges, many have become so overwhelmed that they have actually taken their own life. The question is, what is the way out of the challenges of life? It is simple; Jesus said, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full”. What is it that we give us guarantee for the joy that is full? This is what He said:
"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love” (Joh 15:10)
Abide in the love of Jesus. Abide in God through your strong relationship with Jesus. The way to God is Jesus; the way to total joy is Jesus.
Each time trouble comes, for I am also a man like any other man, what I do is to turn to Jesus. I have never been overwhelmed by any situation since I have discovered that Jesus loves me so much that He laid down His life for me. Look at what the Bible says:
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Rom 8:31, 32 & 37).
Do you have confidence in the word of God? That is the secret of my joy in the midst of the storm. I believe what God says, so I keep myself in His love. I believe that He is too good to lie. Even when it seems He is not doing anything about my condition, I know He is there monitoring my situation, and He is on top of the situation. I trust Him, so I abide in Him. That is the secret of a lasting joy!
No child of God will experience joy on a lasting basis when he values the word of men than the word of God. The word of God is the source of assurance that gives hope, and it is that hope that sustains joy.
“And these things we write to you that your joy may be full” (1 Joh 1:4)
Go back to the Bible; keep yourself in the love of God and abide in Him. He will give you a lasting joy.

Today’s Prayers
1. Praise God for the gift of His word, which is the source of strength to all believers.
2. Father, I receive a fresh appetite for your word today in Jesus name.
3. I command all storms in my life to cease now in Jesus name.
4. Everything in me and around me planted to kill my joy, die out of my life today in Jesus name.
5. I trust God that every mess of my life will eventually turn to a miracle, therefore, I rejoice in hope and praise God for victory today in Jesus name.
I speak joy into your heart right now in Jesus name.
I command all things that make you feel hopeless to disappear from your life today in Jesus name.
Have a blessed and fruitful week.
Shalom!
