Recognizing True Revelations: Guided by the Holy Spirit or Something Else? 08/'24.

In the Christian context, often, we turn to God for guidance, seeking clarity about people, events, situations, places, and even ourselves.

This seeking reflects a faith based approach to life where believers expect to receive divine insights that can steer them towards truth required to make right decisions.

At times, we may receive insights or revelations in response that seem deeply meaningful, influencing how we view or approach these aspects of life.

A Word of Caution: How can we be certain that it’s truly the Holy Spirit revealing these things to us, and not another influence?

The answer lies in the heart and attitude of the person receiving the revelation. The response to a true revelation from the Holy Spirit would reflect qualities consistent with His nature, as described in Galatians 5:14, 22-24: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

No matter how powerful, profound, or striking a revelation may seem, if it leads to behavior or emotions that contradict these qualities, it is unlikely to be from God.

It’s important to remember that the Holy Spirit is not the only source of revelations and insights.

Demons, our experiences, education, reasoning, personal reflection, and even other people can also provide insights or guidance.

We can recognize these sources when a revelation results in reactions associated with "the works of the flesh," listed in Galatians 5:15, 17, 19-21, such as anger, jealousy, hate, strife, division and envy.

Always remember that God is a God of peace and order, not confusion, and that the Holy Spirit’s guidance will never produce attitudes or actions contrary to His nature.

Yesterday it looked like when God used some set of great men to pioneer this great Ministry.... 52years it clocked today and it is glaring God has more than faithful.

Tremendous testimonies from students and associates revealing how NIFES has been indeed an impacting Ministry, not only to students on campus but also to the society.

Today is the day to celebrate all members of this great family as we celebrate the family.
