Principles of rising and shining (what to do in order to rise and shine)
1. Live a life of Purity.
Psalm 24:3-5, Isaiah 60:1-2.
2. Identify a person who is shining and invest your services in the person.
Find a person that is already shining and invest in the person. God took David to learn on how to be a king from Saul. He had to serve Saul. Timothy also served Paul. *Anointing does not replace experience.
3. Embark on a covenant walk with God.
You cannot be great without God. Promotion comes for Him. He is the source of all uplifting.
4. Be a friend of the Bible.
The foundation of all works is in the Bible. ‘Thine words have I kept in my heart so I will not sin again You’. ‘He sent his word and delivered them from all their afflictions’.
5. Battle your weaknesses.
One simple weakness can destroy you. If you quickly identify your weakness, it’ll save you from a mile of trouble. Being unable to pray is a kind of weakness.
*One small weakness that you do not address can bring a big tragedy. Satan entered Judas because Judas opened a door that was not closed. So he could not arise to shine. The weakness could invite a Delilah to your life, like it did to Samson.
6. Key of wisdom.
The Bible say wisdom is the principal thing. When your wisdom is much, your wealth will be much. Ask for the kind of wisdom that will overshadow your enemies.
7. Watch your tongue.
If you want long life, and want to see good days, be careful with your words.
8. Work hard.
Pursue your work with vigour. Be the best at what you do. They must know you are a Christian through your work. It’s sad to know that a lot of Christians are lazy.
9. Address your foundation.
If the foundation is spoilt, what can the righteous do? If you want to rise and shine and your foundation might not allow, you have to pray hard about it.
10. Be a man or woman of prayer.
Put yourself deep in prayers that have power. Targetful Prayer. Purposeful Prayer.
