Stop chasing shadows, follow the divine timing of your heavenly father

For awhile now, the time on wall clock in our room has been wrong because the battery is weak and I keep forgetting to change it🤦. Initially, it was two hours behind so to know the correct time, I just add two hours to whatever it is.
After sometime, the battery situation worsened and the time totally scattered causing me to abandon it. Even though the clock was still working, the time was no longer dependable. I still hear the 'tick tock' every now and then but I don't pay any attention to what the time is because I know it's not correct.

Imagine if I kept following it. Imagine if I aligned my life to follow the timing of a faulty clock just because it was still ticking. Imagine me rushing out for an appointment just because the clock said it was time. That won't have made sense.

Many people are following the wrong clock. Some are following the clock (timing) they set in their head, others are following the clock of society and others, the clock of their mates (peers).

The only clock to follow is the clock of your heavenly Father. His timing is perfect, He is never too late and He has assured us that He has a beautiful future planned out Jer 11:29.
So next time you feel under pressure for whatever reason, take your focus away from that faulty clock of man and focus on God and His promises. He is always on time.

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness." 2 Pet 3:9a
