APPRECIATION OF PRESBYTERIAN CHILDREN’S TEACHERS

Today, we celebrate and appreciate all Presbyterian Children’s Teachers for their tireless commitment, sacrifice, and dedication to nurturing our children in the knowledge of God and His Word.

Your ministry goes beyond teaching lessons; you are shaping lives, building godly character, nurturing future leaders, and laying a firm spiritual foundation for generations to come. Through your patience, love, prayers, and faithful service, countless children are being guided to know Christ and grow in faith.

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria is grateful for your invaluable contributions to the growth of God’s kingdom through children’s ministry. Your labour is not in vain, for the seeds you plant today will bear fruit for many years to come.

COVENANT RENEWAL WEEK, DAY 1 (28/01/2026)

Topic: Man in the Covenant of Grace

The garden of Eden was given to man under grace. This means that it is Goddesire for man to enjoy Grace.

There are two types of grace
1. General Grace
2. Special Grace
In Gen. 6:8, Noah found Grace before the Lord. This was a special Grace.
The special grace you find before God can bring generational liberation.

What is that area of your life that needs special Grace of God?

In Gen. 15:17-18, we see God's covenant with Abraham, and the covenant did not stop with him. Rather, it was a transgenerational covenant, one that is still I existence till date. This means that your blessings from God are not supposed to stop with you. It should be passed on to your generations yet unborn.

So, what is covenant?
A covenant is an agreement between two or more people, with the following elements
1. The parties - in every covenant, there are at least two people involved
2. Every covenant has a condition - what to do and what not to do
3. There must be a result. This can either be positive or negative
4. There must be security.

The covenant of Grace involves a plan to redeem man through faith. It is an unedited favour, the forgiveness of sins based on Christ's obedience.
However, to enjoy this covenant of grace and the transgenerational effect, there is a condition to be met, and this is found in Gen. 17:3. God told Abraham, "Walk before me and be thou perfect." To enjoy God's covenant, we have to walk before Him and be perfect.

Areas of Covenant of Grace
1. Origin - the seed of the woman. This was God's promise after the fall of man.
2. Nature - it is a free offer of salvation from God.
3. Man's position - man is to trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross
4. Components - God is the ruler of all, He is the loving father to his people. He forgives our sins in Grace and remembers them no more. Jesus is the mediator who gave his life on the cross of Calvary.

I will be Speaking on " Man in the Covenant of Grace"

Prayer Point:
1. Lord, give to me and my Seed every Land as a blessing
2. Father, may I be part of those who you enter into a divine Covenant of Grace.
3. Gen. 3:15. Lord, I receive the grace of bruise the heel of the serpent.
4. Gen. 17:2 Father, by divine grace, multiple me greatly. Amen.
