MERCY & GRACE – The Two Things That Keep Us 🙏✨
Lamentations 3:22-23
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
What’s the difference?
Mercy – God not giving us what we deserve.
We all fall short. We all miss the mark. But God withholds judgment. He says, “I won’t destroy you.” That’s mercy. Romans 9:15 – “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy.”
Grace – God giving us what we don’t deserve.
Forgiveness when we were guilty. Strength when we were weak. Salvation when we were lost. New chances, new days, new hope. Ephesians 2:8 – “For it is by grace you have been saved…”
Why it matters for us today:
You may feel tired, guilty, or like you’ve messed up too much.
But God’s mercy didn’t run out yesterday — and His grace didn’t expire this morning.
Every sunrise is proof: “His compassions never fail. They are new every morning.”
You don’t have to earn it. You just have to receive. We are alive today because of both.
No matter how heavy last week was, God’s mercy is fresh today.
No matter how unqualified you feel,
God’s grace is enough.
Rest in it, walk in it, share it.
