The Significance of The Death and Resurrection of Jesus

Joseph of Arimathea pulled a co**se off a cross with his bare hands.

Blood under his fingernails. The weight of a dead man sagging into his arms.

He wrapped God in linen, pressed the fabric into wounds that were still wet.

Nicodemus brought seventy-five pounds of burial spice. A king's funeral for a man the world just murdered.

They carried Him into a hole in the rock and rolled the stone shut.

And everything you've ever done went in with Him.
Every night you can't sleep because of what you did. Every morning, you can't look in the mirror. The thing you did to her. The thing you did to them. The
lie you've been carrying so long it feels like bone.

The version of you that drinks alone and pretends tomorrow will be different.

That man was buried with Christ.

Stone sealed. Done.
Not managed. Not in therapy. Not on a payment plan with God where you slowly earn your way back. Buried. In a tomb. Under rock. Gone.
Three days of silence. Three days of a cold body in the dark.

Then the stone moved.
And when He walked out, the grave clothes were folded on the slab. He didn't stumble out tangled in death. He left it sitting there like a man who's done
with the clothes he used to wear.
Lazarus needed someone to unwrap him. Death still clung to him even after he was breathing.
Jesus folded His own burial linen and walked out clean.

That's the difference between religion and resurrection. Religion unwraps you slowly. Asks you to manage your sin. Attend the class. Read the book. Try harder next week.
Resurrection says the man who walked into that tomb is dead. The man who walked out doesn't know him.
You're not fixing the old you. The old you is in a sealed tomb in Jerusalem, and he's not coming back.
The man reading this, the one who thinks he's too far gone, you're not too far. You're already buried. The funeral happened two thousand years
ago.
Now get up. The stone's already moved. The linen's already folded.

Walk out

The Story of Shahbaz Bhatti, a Christian Martyr

Shahbaz Bhatti was a Pakistani politician and Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs, he was the only Christian member of Pakistan's cabinet at the time.He was known for defending religious minorities and promoting tolerance and equality.

A NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM OUR LEAD LADY EVANGELIST

As we step into this new year, I encourage you to walk forward with faith and gratitude. God, who brought us through the past year, is faithful to lead us into the days ahead. Do not be afraid of what you do not know, for God already knows the end from the beginning.

This year, choose to trust God more deeply, love more sincerely, and serve with a willing heart. Let your prayers be strong, your hope unshaken, and your obedience joyful. When challenges arise, remember that God’s grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

May this new year bring you renewed faith, divine direction, and peace that passes all understanding. May your home be filled with joy, your work be fruitful, and your steps ordered by the Lord.

I pray that this year will draw you closer to God and reveal His purpose for your life. Walk boldly, live righteously, and remain steadfast in His promises. Happy New Year, and may God’s blessings rest upon you.

REASONS TO BE GRATEFUL TO GOD

Message from:

Pastor Mrs Funmilayo Idris

Gratitude is one of the simplest ways to find peace in life, and being grateful to God helps us see life clearly, even in difficult times. Every day we wake up is already a reason to say thank you. Life itself is a gift many prayed for but did not receive today.

We should be grateful to God for protection. Many dangers are unseen, yet we are kept safe in ways we may never understand. Traveling safely, returning home, and sleeping in peace are blessings we often take for granted.

Another reason to be grateful is provision. It may not always be in abundance, but having food to eat, clothes to wear, and a place to rest are signs of God’s care. Even help that comes through people is still God answering our needs.

Gratitude is also important for strength. Some days are hard, yet we keep going. The courage to stand again after failure, the hope to try one more time, and the patience to endure challenges are gifts from God.

We should also thank God for family, friends, and relationships. Love, support, correction, and companionship make life meaningful. Even lessons from difficult people help us grow.

Finally, gratitude reminds us that God is faithful. When we look back, we see how far we have come. Saying thank you opens our hearts to peace, joy, and contentment. A grateful heart sees blessings, not just problems, and trusts God for tomorrow.

See You in 2026!

Shalom!!!
