MOMENT OF DISCOVERY WITH PASTOR OYINLOYE
Welcome to the moment of discovery. We shall begin a new series today tagged LEADING YOURSELF. May this message minister to you and help you to discover how to lead yourself into your destiny and be a good leader in Jesus’ name.

INTRODUCTION
What does it mean to lead yourself? It means holding yourself accountable to a personal set of values, beliefs, and goals. Simply put, leading your own life.
Leading yourself is so crucial to personal success in every area of your life; including your home, the church, secular office or in the society at large. One of the greatest leadership assignments God has given to man is not leading a church, a nation, or a company, but it is leading yourself. If you cannot lead yourself, you cannot lead others.
Every husband is a leader, every woman is a leader and every child is a potential leader because the young shall grow. Leading is an act of having influence on other people. One of our problems in this life is about leadership. We need good leadership and good governance that is accountable to the people.

Below are some of areas you must lead yourself well before leading others

1. GOOD FOLLOWERSHIP :The ability or willingness to follow a leader well in total obedience to his/her instructions.
Only a person who has followed well knows how to lead others well. It means to be under authority. It means to submit to or to be obedience to your leaders.
Leadership begins with followership.
Many Christians see themselves these days as someone above the law of their parents, Church leaders, and government. Good followership is the foundation of self-leadership. If you cannot follow God faithfully, you cannot lead yourself.
Ephesians 6:1-3 and Romans 13:1-2 teaches that those human authorities are set up by God to keep order in the world and obedience has no limits unless it contradict the word of God.
Many youths go against their parents’ instructions; many women go against their husband order; and many husbands are going against the instruction of God about their families.

Below are some of the examples where your followership is expected:
• Following Christ – Jesus is the ultimate leader. To lead yourself, you must first follow Him John 10:27
Leading yourself by following Christ’s instructions in small matters
• Following God’s Word – Leading yourself means submitting to the authority of Scriptures Ps 119:105
Follow God’s Word by making it your daily guide
• Following Spiritual Authority – Good followership means respecting spiritual leaders God has placed over you. Heb 13:17
Follow your pastors, mentors, and elders with humility
• Following the Holy Spirit – Leading yourself requires yielding to the Spirit’s guidance. Rom 8:14 Follow the Holy Spirit by listening to His gentle nudges in prayer and decision-making

Good followership is not weakness, but wisdom. If you follow Christ, His Word, His Spirit, and His appointed leaders, you will be equipped to lead yourself into destiny.

Please join me next week Friday for the continuation of this leading yourself series. God bless you.

MOMENT OF DISCOVERY WITH PASTOR OYINLOYE
Welcome to this weekend moment of discovery. We shall conclude our series on SEVEN WISDOM STEPS TO YOUR DESTINY FULFILMENT. May this message minister to you and be a guide to your destiny fulfilment in life in Jesus’ name.

7. Wisdom step of SEEKING FOR DIVINE DIRECTION
The last wisdom step you need to take is seeking for divine direction. God has a roadmap for each and every one of us. He is the only one who knows the end from the beginning and He has good plans for us(Jer 29:11)
The book of Proverbs 14:12 says there is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. You need to seek the face of God before going into that business or anything you want to do in life.
Many of us are lazy in the place of prayer. The book of Proverbs 3:5-6 says trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding…… Wisdom teaches that human reasoning is limited, but divine direction guarantees success and safety.

Abraham left his father’s house without knowing where he was going, but followed God’s direction which made him to become the father of nations.(Gen 12:1-4)
The Israelites in the wilderness followed the pillar of cloud by the day and pillar of fire by night to ensure that they did not miss their way.(Exo 13:21-22)
Paul was forbidden by the Spirit to preach in Asia, but directed to Macedonia and his obedience birthed revival in Europe(Act 16:6-10)
David always inquire from the Lord before every battle and his victories were secured by divine guidance(2 Sam 5:19-25)
Don’t make decisions without seeking for divine direction if you want to be saved from costly mistakes. Sometimes God’s answer may take time, wait on Him. When God speaks, act immediately because delay can mean danger.
Confirm direction through the scriptures and the Holy Spirit because not every voice is God’s voice. Let God’s Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.
Divine direction is the compass of destiny. Human wisdom may fail, but when God directs your steps, you will never miss your way. To walk in divine direction is to walk in safety, success, and fulfilment.

In conclusion, destiny is not fulfilled by chance but by wisdom. Every great destiny requires deliberate steps guided by God. Destiny is fulfilled in step by step, not overnight. Self-discovery, change of mindset, setting achievable goals, being diligent and hardworking, disconnecting from unwise association, not despising the day of little beginning, and seeking divine direction are the pillars that can carry you to your God-ordained destiny.

We have come to the end of this series on wisdom steps to destiny fulfilment. Please join me next week Friday for another series. God bless you.

Welcome to this weekend moment of discovery. We shall continue with our series on SEVEN WISDOM STEPS TO YOUR DESTINY FULFILMENT. May this message minister to you and be a guide to your destiny fulfilment in life in Jesus’ name.

6. Wisdom step of NOT DESPISING THE DAY OF LITTLE BEGINNING
Another wisdom step you need to take is not to despise the day pf little beginning. The book of Zechariah 4:10 says we should not despise the day of small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. The book of Isaiah 60:22 also says a little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. We all know that a little drop of water makes a mighty ocean. You are expected to start from somewhere and start little while you are looking forward to a better tomorrow.
Wisdom teaches that greatness often hides in small beginnings. What looks insignificant today may be the seed of tomorrow’s glory. The book of Job 8:7 says though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Don’t despise humble beginnings in career, business, or ministry. Every giant oak tree began as a seed.

David began as a shepherd boy, despised by his family, but his small beginning prepared him for kingship(I Sam 16:11-13)
The small cloud like a man’s hand that Elijah saw without despising it became a heavy rain(I Kgs 18:41-45).
The mustard seed which was considered the smallest of seeds grows into a great tree(Matt 13:31-32)
Our Lord Jesus Christ was born in a manger, yet He became the Saviour of the world(Luk 2:7)

You must value small beginning, trust God to multiply your little effort into great results. Don’t look down on those starting small. Today’s apprentice may be tomorrow’s master. Learn a trade while waiting for that white-collar job. Learn fashion design/hairdressing, or interior decoration while waiting for another job. Look around and within you to see what you can start doing immediately instead of being idle.
I know of a widow that started selling sachet water popularly called pure water with N5,000. Now she own a shop selling in large quantities and supplying some nearby eatery and “Mama Put” Do not despite the day of little beginning.

Please join me next week Friday for the concluding part of these wisdom steps to destiny fulfillment series. God bless you.

5. Wisdom step of DISCONNECTING FROM UNWISE ASSOCIATION
Another wisdom step you need to take is to disconnect yourself from unwise association. The book of Proverbs 13:20 says he that work with the wise shall be wise, but the companion of fools shall be destroyed.. Unwise friendship have destroyed the potentials of thousands of people in our society. The bible says evil communication corrupt good manner.(I Cor 15:33)
You need to surround yourself with people of great minds not just like minds. People that will encourage you and motivate you. You must involve quality people in your life. The book of Ephesians 5:15-16 says we should walk with the wise and not with the fools.
Wisdom teaches that who you walk with determine where you end up. Association is very powerful because it can either lift you or limit you. Lot’s choice to associate with S***m led to destruction, but Abraham’s walk with God made him father of nations.(Gen 13:10-11).
Samson’s unwise association with Delilah cost him his strength, vision, and destiny.(Judge 16:19-21)
Amnon’s evil friend called Jonadab gave him wicked counsel that led to his downfall.(2 Sam 13:3-5)
On the positive side, Peter’s association with Jesus transformed him from a fisherman into a mighty apostle.(Matt 4:19; Acts 2:41)
Your friends are prophetic indicators of your future.
Walk with the wise to become wise. Disconnect from those who drain your spiritual energy or push you toward sin.
Surround yourself with mentors and companions who point you to Christ.
It takes courage to walk away from toxic relationships, but wisdom demands it.

As you disconnect from those who are drawing you away from God, reconnect with those who will inspire holiness and excellence in you. Ask God to open your eyes to see hidden dangers in association. To fulfil your destiny, you must walk with those who sharpen your faith, not those who dull your vision.

MOMENT OF DISCOVERY WITH PASTOR OYINLOYE
Welcome to this week moment of discovery. We shall continue with our series on SEVEN WISDOM STEPS TO YOUR DESTINY FULFILMENT.
May this message minister to you and be a guide to your destiny fulfilment in life in Jesus’ name.

3. Wisdom step of SETTING ACHIEVABLE GOALS
Another wisdom step you need to take is to set achievable goals for yourself. You must have vision for your mission on earth. The book of Hosea 4:6 says my people perish for lack of vision. What do you want to achieve before the end of this year? Where do you see yourself in the next 3 to 5years? What is the expansion plan for your business or career?
The book of Habakkuk 2:2 says write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it. Wisdom is not only in dreaming big but in setting goals that are clear, realistic, and aligned with God’s purpose. A goal without clarity is like running without direction.
Nehemiah did not just desire to rebuild Jerusalem’s wall; he set a clear plan, assigned tasks, and achieved it despite opposition.(Neh 2:17-18; 6:15) Joseph did not just have a big dream of becoming great, but he took steps of faithfulness and being diligence as an achievable goal leading to his destiny.(Gen 39:2-4; 21-23 Our Lord Jesus ultimate mission was salvation, but He set achievable steps of teaching, healing, and discipling until the cross was fulfilled.(Matt 5 – 7; 9:35)
Write down your goals, break big dreams into smaller achievable target, discipline yourself to focus on your goals and pray over them. Your goals must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.

4. Wisdom step of BEING DILIGENT AND HARD-WORKING
Another wisdom step you need to take is to be diligent and hard-working. The book of Prov 22:29 says seeth thou a man that is diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings and not before mean men. You must determine to pay the price for what you want in life. Invest in yourself and develop your talents. Broaden your knowledge. Romans 12:11 says not being slothful in business, fervent in the spirit serving the Lord. The book of Proverb 12:24 says the hand of the diligent shall bear rule; but the slothful shall be under tribute. Diligence is the bridge between vision and fulfilment. Hard work is not a curse; it is a covenant principle for elevation. The book of Ecclesiastes 9:10 says whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.
Even as a slave in Potiphar’s house, Joseph worked diligently, and God prospered him(Gen 39:2-4) Ruth diligently gleaned in the fields and her hard work positioned her for favour and marriage to Boaz.(Ruth 2:2-3) Paul the Apostle testified that he labour more abundantly than they all(I Cor 15:10) We can also learn from the Ants how they always work tirelessly, storing food for the future.
Hard work today prepares you for opportunities tomorrow. Laziness leads to poverty. Be diligent in prayer, study, and service because spiritual laziness leads to stagnation.
Therefore, break your vision into daily achievable work, discipline yourself, and don’t give up when results is delayed because diligence eventually pays off. Remember, diligence is the key to standing before kings.
