FROM THE VICAR'S DESK

God who is rich in mercy forgives us our sins as a manifestation of his compassion and love. We are instructed to forgive others if we need God's forgiveness.
Offenses will come, betrayals, abuse, trauma but forgiveness frees us from them. It removes bitterness, anger and makes our compassion, kindness, humility, patience complete. We become more like Jesus when we forgive.

Blessed Lord, who caused all holy scriptures to be written for our learning write in our hearts the lessons of Your Law; prepare our minds to receive the Gospel, help us so to hear them, to read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them that, through patience, and the comfort of Your Holy Word, we may embrace and for ever hold fast the hope of everlasting life, which You have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ. Christian fruitfulness is not measured by your material success and greatness but by the manifestation of a change, transformed life in Jesus Christ. We must dwell and remain in him and he in us to produce much fruit (John 15:5) of the Holy Spirit.
Our fruit blesses our families, Church, neighbours and others acting as a witness to this generation.

The ongoing construction works had the two vestries demolished and the interlocking tiles removed. We regret all inconvenience caused believing that our tomorrow will be better. Keep on praying that the house of God will be completed to His glory.

Our new Cathedral building project is a huge one being done by faith in God. It is achievable and a worthy one needing perseverance and commitment from all.
It has new office, toilets, bigger alter, larger congressional space including gallery. By prayers and perseverance we will build a community of God's children in Gusau.
