*TEXT: MICAH 2:12-13*
*TOPIC: DELIVERANCE AND REGATHERING FOR GOD'S PEOPLE*

*MICAH 2:12-13 (NIV)*

12: "I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people.

13: The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the LORD at their head."

*DELIVERANCE AND REGATHERING FOR GOD'S PEOPLE*

In contrast to false prophets who scattered God's people, there is a word of encouragement from God Himself to the remnants of sincere believers who are part of covenant Israel—those who heed His revelation of deliverance and regathering.

God assures us of His intentions: "I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob, the remnant of Israel..." (v. 12).

It is certain from this text that God is the deliverer of His people from jihadists, bandits, terrorists, and land grabbers. This is an uplifting revelation from Yahweh, far better than the empty promises of false prophets.

The remnant will return to Judah and will grow into a large multitude under the care of the divine shepherd.

I recognize that many of you have been displaced due to the actions of evil individuals in this nation.

You have faced persecution, moving from one IDP camp to another because of your faith. You have been exploited and oppressed.

As believers enduring violence, kidnapping, and the seizure of your land, let us turn to God for the regathering of His people. God has delivered in the past; He can do it again.

*QUESTION:* What kind of injustice are you experiencing in this nation?

*PRAYER:* Oh Lord, just as You delivered and gathered Your people in the past, we need Your intervention in our current situation. Save us, O Lord, from those who exploit and oppress believers and from those who seize our lands. Amen.

TOPIC: DO NOT LISTEN TO FALSE PROPHETS AND PROPHECIES

MICAH 2:6-11 (NIV)

6: "Do not prophesy," their prophets say. "Do not prophesy about these things; disgrace will not overtake us."

7: You descendants of Jacob, should it be said, "Does the LORD become impatient? Does he do such things?" "Do not my words do good to the one whose ways are upright?

8: Lately my people have risen up like an enemy. You strip off the rich robe from those who pass by without a care, like men returning from battle.

9: You drive the women of my people from their pleasant homes. You take away my blessing from their children forever.

10: Get up, go away! For this is not your resting place, because it is defiled, it is ruined, beyond all remedy.

11: If a liar and deceiver comes and says, ’I will prophesy for you plenty of w**e and beer,’ that would be just the prophet for this people!

DO NOT LISTEN TO FALSE PROPHETS AND PROPHECIES

In response to the suffering caused by those in power, false prophets have gained influence by spreading lies.

These false prophets in the city preach messages that are popular but misleading; they focus on deliverance, earthly blessings, and sensual enjoyment while ignoring the necessary spiritual and moral conditions for true prosperity and safety in the nation.

Prophet Micah warns us: do not listen to false prophets or their misleading prophecies. Today, in our own nation, similar popular messages are preached.

Many have been deceived due to the challenging economic situation. This serves as a warning to believers in Christ: do not allow false prophets to mislead you.

QUESTION:
Have you strayed by following after false prophets? It's time to return to God, who holds the solution to your problems.

PRAYER:
Help me, Oh Lord, not to follow or listen to false prophets and their prophecies. Amen.

*TEXT: ESTHER 7:1-10*
*TOPIC: THE DAY OF RECOMPENSE IS SURE*

*ESTHER 7:1-10 (NIV)*

1: So the king and Haman went to Queen Esther’s banquet,

2: and as they were drinking w**e on the second day, the king again asked, “Queen Esther, what is your petition? It will be given you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted.”

3: Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life—this is my petition. And spare my people—this is my request.

4: For I and my people have been sold to be destroyed, killed and annihilated. If we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, I would have kept quiet, because no such distress would justify disturbing the king.” [5] King Xerxes asked Queen Esther, “Who is he? Where is he—the man who has dared to do such a thing?”

6: Esther said, “An adversary and enemy! This vile Haman!” Then Haman was terrified before the king and queen.

7: The king got up in a rage, left his w**e and went out into the palace garden. But Haman, realizing that the king had already decided his fate, stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life.

8: Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall, Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was reclining. The king exclaimed, “Will he even mo**st the queen while she is with me in the house?” As soon as the word left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.

9: Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said, “A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.” The king said, “Impale him on it!”

10: So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai. Then the king’s fury subsided.

*THE DAY OF RECOMPENSE IS SURE*

A worker labours and waits eagerly for payday. Haman's cup was full, and his reward came during their second banquet at Queen Esther's house.

On his day of judgment, the respected Haman became a shadow of himself, kneeling and begging a woman! But this day had been approaching, only Haman was so caught up in his display of power that he did not realise it.

His wife and friends had warned him about the doom that was to befall him for standing up against Mordecai, a Jew. It was either too late for him to heed the warning, or he was just adamant.

As this was playing out, Queen Esther was getting more favours before the king, to the extent that he promised her half his kingdom just for the asking!

Too bad for Haman as he ended up hanging on the gallows that he had made for Mordecai.

A day of recompense does come for every evildoer sooner or later. While that day tarries, however, we are challenged to forsake our evil ways and plans.

There may be a gang up against you. You may be facing a challenging period in your life. Relax! Whatever is coming after you will give way; you just remain faithful and committed to God.

Like Queen Esther, all you need is to remain in the Master's favour, and He will deal with anything that seeks to deal with you!

*QUESTION:*
What is coming after you? Who are you with?

*PRAYER:*
O that I may find favour with you, Lord. Bring me close to your heart that I may delight you, Amen.

TEXT: ESTHER 6:1-9
TOPIC: GOD'S TIMING IS PERFECT

ESTHER 6:1-9 (NIV)

1: That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him.

2: It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes.

3: “What honor and recognition has Mordecai received for this?” the king asked. “Nothing has been done for him,” his attendants answered.

4: The king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the palace to speak to the king about impaling Mordecai on the pole he had set up for him.

5: His attendants answered, “Haman is standing in the court.” “Bring him in,” the king ordered.

6: When Haman entered, the king asked him, “What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought to himself, “Who is there that the king would rather honor than me?”

7: So he answered the king, “For the man the king delights to honor,

8: have them bring a royal robe the king has worn and a horse the king has ridden, one with a royal crest placed on its head.

9: Then let the robe and horse be entrusted to one of the king’s most noble princes. Let them robe the man the king delights to honor, and lead him on the horse through the city streets, proclaiming before him, ‘This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!’ ”

GOD'S TIMING IS PERFECT

Look at the intriguing sequence of events in today’s reading.

Haman prepares the gallows to hang Mordecai. He then goes to the palace to ask for permission to carry out his plan. Without any clear reason, the king requests to see the royal records and have them read to him. It is then discovered that Mordecai had uncovered an assassination plot against the king, but was never recognised.

At the very moment the king asks for Haman to be invited for a consultation to decide on a reward for the person who exposed the plot, Haman is already in the palace! This sequence of events and circumstances cannot be a mere coincidence; God is in control!

You see, God causes events to happen in alignment with His divine plan. This chain of events should be understood beyond the actors involved. The same is true for your life. If something has not happened yet, it is because God’s timing has not arrived.

Do not be upset when certain things happen or do not happen in your life. There is a time and season for everything under heaven! Eventually, all will work out for your good and God’s glory. See how Mordecai’s greatest enemy ended up suggesting how he should be promoted!

QUESTION:
What is delaying you in your life? Where is God in the picture?

PRAYER:
Forgive me for being overly anxious about mylife. Make me entrust all to you, Amen.

ECWA UNVEILS 2027 THEME: “PRESS ON TOWARDS THE GOAL”

(Philippians 3:14)

JOS, NIGERIA – The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has officially unveiled its 2027 theme, “Press On Towards the Goal,” drawing inspiration from the Apostle Paul’s exhortation in Philippians 3:14. The unveiling was made during the annual Chairman and Secretaries Consultation, held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

The theme was formally presented by the ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Ayuba Job Bagat, who charged the denomination to adopt the scriptural mandate as the spiritual compass for the upcoming year. The selection of the theme underscores a collective call for resilience, focus, and unwavering dedication to the divine mission entrusted to the Church.

As the denomination prepares for a new cycle of ministry, the 2027 theme is designed to galvanize members, leadership, congregations, and departments across the ECWA fold. It serves as a rallying point for the Church to remain steadfast in faith, surmount challenges, and resolutely pursue the heavenly calling and Kingdom objectives set before it.

The unveiling marks the commencement of strategic preparations for 2027, emphasizing core values of perseverance, spiritual maturity, ecclesial unity, and an aggressive advancement of the Great Commission.

"Keep Your Lamps Burning" — Luke 12:35

Beloved youths, friends, and members of the ECWA family, you are warmly invited to participate in the 2026 EYFI Youth Week of Prayer, a special week dedicated to prayer, worship, Bible study, evangelism, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

As we journey toward the celebration of EYFI @ 50 (1977–2027), this year's Youth Week of Prayer provides a unique opportunity for every young person to rekindle their passion for God, strengthen their faith, and shine as a light in this generation.

*THE NEW STRUCTURE OF ECWA*

*1. General Church Council (GCC)*
The General Church Council (GCC) shall remain the highest governing body of ECWA. The head of the GCC shall be known as the ECWA International President (EIP).

*2. Regional Church Council (RCC)*
The Regional Church Council (RCC) shall oversee ECWA activities within designated regions. The head of the RCC shall be known as the ECWA International Vice President (EIVP).

*3. National Church Council (NCC)*
The National Church Council (NCC) shall coordinate ECWA operations within individual countries. The head of each NCC shall be known as the ECWA National President (ENP).

However, in the case of Nigeria, the ECWA International Vice President shall serve as the head of the Nigerian National Church Council.

*4. Zonal Church Council (ZCC)*
The Zonal Church Council (ZCC) shall function as the administrative body overseeing designated zones. The head of the ZCC shall be known as the ECWA Zonal Overseer (EZO).

*5. District Church Council (DCC)*
The District Church Council (DCC) shall supervise churches within each district. The head of the DCC shall be known as the District Overseer.

*6. Area Church Council (ACC)*
The Area Church Council (ACC) shall coordinate churches within specific areas under the district structure. The head of the ACC shall be known as the ECWA Area Overseer (AO).

*7. Local Church Board (LCB)*
The Local Church Board (LCB) shall serve as the administrative body of the local church congregation. The head of the LCB shall be the Local Church Pastor.

*COMPOSITION OF THE GENERAL CHURCH COUNCIL (GCC)*

The General Church Council shall consist of the following members:

1. *The International Leadership Team:*
- ECWA International President (EIP)
- Six ECWA International Vice Presidents (EIVPs)

2. *Representatives from Other Nations:*
- ECWA National Presidents (ENPs)
- ECWA National Administrators (ENAs)
- Delegates
- Chairman of the Trustee Board

3. *Representatives from Nigeria:*
- Zonal Overseers
- Zonal Administrators
- Delegates
- Trustees from the Zones

4. *International Departmental Heads, including:*
- Women Fellowship International Leaders
- Men Fellowship International Leaders
- Youth Fellowship International Leaders

All members listed above shall possess voting rights during General Church Council proceedings.
