HOLD FAST THE WORD OF FAITH
2 Timothy 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. KJV
"Those who benefit from God's word are those who hold fast unto it," these were my words to a young man who was going through some challenges in his life. He came up to me with questions upon questions. He asked me, "Sir, what would you do if everything you lay your hands upon seem not to work." "Well, " I said, "Keep trusting God." He looked at me and said, "For how long?" And I answered, "For as long as it takes."
Years later, this same young man thanked me for my advice to him, because God came through for him. Friends, in our text today Paul admonishes us that we should hold fast to the sound word, that is, we should keep on believing God's word, no matter the trials and challenges that come our way. We should know that God's word may tarry but it never fails. We should keep on meditating and declaring God's word and we shall see them manifest.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing word. Give me grace to hold fast unto Your sound word, in the precious name of Jesus. 🙏🙏🙏
