THE URGENCY OF THE MOMENT
We are living in a time when believers must be spiritually awake and discerning. The Bible warns us that in the last days, many will be deceived, and not everyone who comes in the name of Christ truly belongs to Him. Some may look like believers, speak like believers, and even appear to know the things of God, yet their intentions may be far from God.
This is why we must not walk by appearance alone. We need the Spirit of discernmentโthe ability to recognize what is from God and what is not, what is truth and what is deception, what will draw us closer to God and what will slowly take us away from Him.
Matthew 24:4 says, โTake heed that no man deceive you.โ
The urgency of this moment is a call for every believer to become spiritually alert. We cannot afford to be distracted by people, relationships, worldly desires, or things that have no eternal value. We must stay in the Word, remain prayerful, tarry in God's presence, and allow the Holy Spirit to sharpen our spiritual senses.
1 John 4:1 says, โBeloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.โ
In this end time, we must learn to discern before we follow, pray before we decide, and seek God before we trust appearances. Not everyone who smiles with you is for you, and not everyone who speaks about God is sent by God. This is why we need spiritual sensitivity.
There is an urgency in the Spirit. We must return to the Scriptures, pursue God's presence, and remain focused on His purpose for our lives. We cannot allow distractions to make us lose sight of our assignment. We cannot afford to be spiritually asleep in a season that demands spiritual alertness.
May God give us the grace to recognize the times, discern the spirits, hear His voice clearly, and remain steadfast in His purpose. May we not be deceived, distracted, or carried away, but may we be found faithful, watchful, and spiritually prepared.
The time is urgent. The days are evil. Stay awake. Stay in the Word. Stay in God's presence. Discern. Pray. And keep working in the purpose of God.
โWatch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.โ โ Matthew 26:41
