Rev Tim Aitonje || Personal Victory Over Sin and Self

Supernatural conquest begins with personal conquest. Before God can use us to conquer territories and reveal greater things, He must first conquer us. We must surrender ourselves completely to Him and allow Jesus to sit on the throne of our hearts. (Gal. 2:20)

We do not overcome sin by our own strength. Our old nature was crucified with Christ, so sin no longer has dominion over us. (Rom. 6:6, 14) We must choose the Spirit over the flesh because life begins in the Spirit. (Rom. 8:6, 13)

Spiritual Foundations for Level One
1. New Identity — 2 Cor. 5:17
Know who you are in Christ so sin does not define or control you.
2. Sin Has No Dominion — Rom. 6:14
Understand that sin no longer has authority over you. (1 John 1:8–9)
3. Renew Your Mind — Rom. 12:2
Learn to think according to God’s Word, not according to fear, failure, or defeat.
4. Take Thoughts Captive — 2 Cor. 10:5
Arrest ungodly thoughts and bring them into obedience to Christ.
5. Walk in the Spirit — Gal. 5:16
Stay conscious of and responsive to the Holy Spirit daily.
6. Develop Self-Control — Gal. 5:22–23
Learn to govern your desires, reactions, and choices through the Spirit.
7. Recognize God’s Power in You — 2 Tim. 1:7
You have been given power, love, and a sound mind—not fear.

Conquest begins with you. What you refuse to kill may eventually kill you. Therefore, submit to Christ, walk in the Spirit, and live from the victory He has already given you.
