Is God Happy With You?
Genesis 6:6
The Lord regretted that He had made human beings on the earth, and His heart was deeply troubled. Is God happy with the way you are living your life? Are you one of the people who breaks God's heart every day? Do you realize that God is concerned about you? These questions are for you alone to ponder.
The reason God is unhappy with the earth is because of sin. Each time God sees a sinner, He feels sorrow. The more you engage in sin, the greater the separation between you and God. Remember, it was sin that brought separation between God and the first couple.
*Genesis 3:23*
So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
Sin is the only weapon that can destroy your destiny in God. God had great plans for Adam and Eve, but sin denied them a glorious future. Consider this: your greatest enemy is sin. Sin is the foundation of affliction, and affliction kills destiny.
*James 1:14-15*
But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. [15] Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
No destiny can survive the impartation of sin. The deeper you go into sin, the more God's anger increases in your life. A sinner is a defeated person and vulnerable to enemies. Many people remain trapped in their problems even after praying about them because of their sins.
*Isaiah 59:1-2*
[1] Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. [2] But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.
Sin will not only destroys your relationship with God but also exposes you to afflictions and endless trials. Our generation is celebrating sin—are you one of them? If you are someone who compromises your values to please a partner or to maintain a relationship, know that you are celebrating sin.
Our generation desperately needs God. The most effective weapon the devil uses against us is lust. This is the battle our generation is fighting. It is time for you to stand up and resist what is trying to take your place before God. Jesus offers hope to every sinner—hurry to Him before it's too late. He is waiting for sinners to turn to Him in repentance. Jesus is the mediator between us and God. Through Him, you can conquer sin.
