Topic: POSSESSING YOUR POSSESSION … 1 Samuel 30:1-19

INTRODUCTION:
Countless believers are been denied their rights and positions in life, and the good things that they are supposed to enjoy due to the manipulations and devices of the enemy.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

1. TO POSSESS means to take/take back what belongs to you.
… Matthew 11:12
- It means to take over your inheritance. … Acts 20:32

2. POSSESSION means your inheritance, your position, your next level in life.
- It means your promise land.

HOW DO I POSSESS MY POSSESSION

1. MAKE A PRAYER OF INQUIRY … 1 Samuel 30:8
- Until you understand the root of a problem, you will not know how to handle it.
- Prayer of inquiring put you in heavenly hotline, anytime you are confused about your life and destiny, make a prayer of inquiry
- The easiest way to get solution from your challenge is to ask God questions about what you are passing through.

2. PURSUE YOUR INHERITANCE

- Don’t let the enemy take what's yours before your very eyes. Hit them with a fight.

3. BE OF HELP TO OTHERS
- Let people survive through you. … 1 Samuel 30:11-12
- David gave bread to a rejected Egyptian boy.

4. ENCOURAGE YOURSELF IN THE LORD … 1 Samuel 30:6
- The downfall of a man is not the end of his life.
- Don’t allow anyone conclude your life by their deceptive words because you are a process yet to be shine forth.

• • Understanding makes a man to walk in boldness. … Proverbs 28:1b It gives one confidence and assurance to knock out the devil anytime and anywhere. Until you know who you are, you cannot gain command.
• • The Word of God is the mirror that brings the discovery of your identity in Christ. …John 1:19-23. It reveals your full identity to you and it enables you to have full dominion in Christ.

✓WHO ARE YOU?

1. YOU ARE A SPIRIT
- We are spirit in human form. John 3:6
- It is an insult for a Christian to belong to an occultic society.

2. YOU ARE A GOD …Exodus 7:1, John 10:34-35, Psalm 82:5-6
- God has given birth to smaller gods (us) and placed us in authority... 2 Peter 1:3-4

3. YOU ARE CHOSEN …Ephesians 1:4
- We have been chosen from the foundation of the world.
- God cannot chose you and later ignore/abandon you. 1 Peter 2:9

4. YOU ARE AN AMBASSADOR …2 Corinthians 5:20a
- You are God’s representative here on earth.

- Sons/Daughters don’t beg in their father’s house.
- As a son/daughter, you are entitled to divine privilege in the kingdom.

6. WE ARE JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST …Romans 8:17
- Whatsoever belongs to God is our inheritance as well.

- The lion is ordained to prevail no matter the heat of the battle.
