TACN: ETINAN FIELD DISENGAGES GLORIOUSLY.. As Uyo Field Council bids them a befitting farewell
The final disengagement of the newly created Etinan Field from Uyo Field has been sealed and delivered during the formal handing over proceedings which took place at the Council Chambers in Uyo Field on Tuesday May 19, 2020.
Pastor Ime George, Ph.D, the Uyo Field Superintendent, while speaking at the meeting attended by Council members from both Fields appreciated God for the historic creation of the Field which has culminated in the send forth ceremony.
He re-iterated that in October, 2015, when they came on board to steer the affairs of Uyo Field, the Field had only twenty-four (24) Areas, Twenty-four Apostles with Seven Major Centres and Five Council Prophets.
Pastor George noted that by December, 2019, Uyo Field had grown in leaps and bound to a great giant that was split into Fifty-one Areas with Fifty-one (51) Apostles, thirteen (13) Major Centres and thirteen (13) Council Prophets.
The Uyo Field Superintendent maintained that based on the geo-religious size and numerical strength, through the consent of the National Executive Council, during the 3rd Territorial Convention which ended on March 15, 2020, Etinan Field was created with three Major Centres, Twelve Areas, Thirty Districts and Fifty-four Ministerial Staff.
Prior to the formal handing over proceedings, Pastor George had exhorted the joint council on the theme, "The Pathway to Success". Picking his text from the book of Proverbs 3:1-10, he outlined the five-point pathway to success to include obedience, integrity, trust in God, discernment and giving, and tasked the leadership of Etinan Field to strive to be just and fair to the congregants so as to make them happy to serve God with joy.
He advised leaders of Etinan Field to exhibit the virtues of obedience to the various hierarchies of the Field, Territory and nation by working in one accord, adding that by so doing, they will reap wisdom. The Uyo Field leader also charged them not to lose sight of their integrity while discharging their ministerial duties, as God's favour will be their portion, urging them to continue to trust in God so that their ways will be divinely directed.
Pastor George further encouraged the new Etinan Field leaders to stay on the path of unity of purpose and humility, devoid of discordant voices in order to progress in good health, and to practice giving as it is a prerequisite for reaping in abundance.
Responding, the pioneer Etinan Field Superintendent, Pastor S. A. Isaiah, Ph.D, expressed appreciation to God for making the Etinan Field dream to become a reality, noting that the creation of the Field out of Uyo is entirely the will of God.
Pastor Isaiah who is also the Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Territory and Deputy National Secretary of the church, stated that Etinan Field, being a by-product of Uyo, will model after her mother Field in many ways, expressing optimism that since Uyo Field, their mother is successful, the success trait shall naturally be transferred to Etinan Field.
He specifically expressed satisfaction at the orderly conduct of the transition and handing over process, saying he has never witnessed such development in his ministerial experience where a joint meeting was convened to see to the smooth take off of a new Field.
Pastor Isaiah, who is a seasoned minister of the gospel, Church Administrator and an academic, with long-standing experience in the ministry and well versed with leadership protocols at various hierarchies of the church pledged to use his wealth of experience to lead the young Field to bring about the needed peace, progress and prosperity.
Other tested Ministers saddled with the responsibility of piloting the affairs of the new Etinan Field who were present at the meeting are: Pastor E. A. Inyang, Deputy Field Superintendent, Pastor (Barr) S. B. Inyang, the National Youth Leader of the church, serving as Field Secretary, Pastor A. A. Ekwere, the Asst. Field Secretary and Pastor U. I. Udoakpan, Ph.D as Finance Chairman, among others.
High point of the meeting was the presentation of handing over documents by Pastor George, the Uyo Field Superintendent to Pastor Isaiah, the Etinan Field Superintendent, a take-off grant and copies of the book, ‘The Magnificent Birth: …a retrospective of the journey to Etinan and Ikono Fields.’
It could be recalled that Etinan Field which was created along with Ikono Field as the sixth and seventh Fields in Akwa Ibom State Territory during the 2020 Territorial Convention following the proclamation of the National President, Apostle (Dr.) S. E. Igwe started operations on May 1, 2020.
