THEME: GOD WILL DO IT AGAIN

TEXT: Hab 3:1-2( NLT, NIV, GNT, NVC )

INTRODUCTION:
There are some facts I want us to note about God.
The God We save is not a seasonal God. Heb 13:8, Mal 3:6

Our God is unlimited God. Ps 139:7-12

The God we save is impossibility specialist. Jer 32:27

WHAT HAS GOD DONE BEFORE?

The barren woman became a Mother of Children- 1Sam 1:6-7,19-20, Gen 18:13-14 , 21:1-2

Healing the sick - 2Kings 5:14, John 5:5-8

Raising the Dead – John 11:43-44, Mark 5:41-42

Restoration of lost hope- Job 42:10-17, 2Sam 9:6-13

Deliverance from Enemies attack – Dan 6:20-22, 3:26-28, Acts 23:12

Raising the poor from dust to Thrown – Esther 2:15-18, 6:10-11, 2 Sam 9:6-7,Gen 41:41-46

CONCLUSION
Belove, take inventory of His intervention in your life, if God has delivered you and others before, He will do it again. Forgetting what He did in the past, is to delay His work in the present.

Theme: "TRUE GREATNESS"

Everyone wants to be great and because of desire for greatness. Some don't consider the nature of greatness they should involve in. True greatness comes from God and it involves Newness in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17).

When you are in Christ, the seed of the Holy Spirit will transform you and change you from all limitations and barriers to greatness.

Newness in Christ comes as you willingly recognize Jesus Christ as your Saviour and surrender your life to Him.

Devote your love to God (Psalm 91:14).

Loving God devotedly cuts you off from the love of the word (1 John 2:15-17).

Loving God involves loving the church of Jesus Christ which is His body.

Love God involves loving the word of God (Psalm 119:159, 97,11).

Faithfulness (Luke 16:10-12). Faithfulness is demonstrating trustworthiness in life. It is a good sign of true greatness.

There are things God saw in David, Joseph and He expects us today to show these qualities as keys to true greatness. Then He will uplift us to consistent greatness.

CONCLUSION: When God makes us great, no one can bring us down.

BIBLE READING: PHIL. 3:10-11

THEME: THAT I MAY KNOW HIM

INTRODUCTION
God wants his people to know Him, worship Him and declare His name daily (Exo. 6:7; 7:5; 14:4; 16:12). Knowing God is the most meaningful thing in Life (Jere. 9:23-24). Throughout the scriptures, great men and women of God desired to know God more and deeper. And so, we must be ready and willing to pay the price to know God.

a. Knowing God isn’t enough academically; we must know Him experimentally through personal relationship and revelation (Matt. 16:15-16, Eph. 1:16-19, Eph. 3:16-19, Col. 1:9-11)
b. Knowing Christ begins with believing in His death and resurrection power (1 Cor. 15:3-5, Rom. 10:9-10)
c. To know Jesus is not the same as knowing His historical life
d. Knowing God is the source of our wisdom and strength in life and in ministry
e. Knowing God empowers us to resist satanic attack
f. Knowing God grants us total victory daily (Jn. 3:1-8, Matt. 22:29, Acts 8:13-21)
g. To know Christ and the power of His resurrection is to have an experiential knowledge of Him deeply
h. To know Christ is to live in a close relationship with God and Christ (Isa. 11:9, Matt. 15:8, 2 Chron. 15:2)
i. To know Christ is to abide in Him (Jn. 15:5; 10:23; 13:15, 1 Jn. 2:6)
j. To know Christ is to grow in grace and knowledge of Him (2 Pet. 3:17-18, Eph. 3:16-19)
k. Knowing Christ means believing in His redemptive work (1 Cor. 15:3-5)

HOW TO KNOW CHRIST:
We can't only read about Jesus, but we must know Him personally, by admitting who you are and accepting Him as your personal Lord and Saviour (Rom. 3:23; 6:23; 5:8; 10:13, Eph. 2:8-9)

HOW CAN KNOWING CHRIST HAPPEN
1. Through personal desire, determination and decision
2. Through studying and applying the word of God daily, meditatively and consistently
3. Through meditative prayers and fastings
4. Through constant and cordial fellowship

THE EFFECT OF KNOWING GOD
1. It brings wisdom and strength for exploits and endurance
2. It brings power for supernatural dominion and excellence
3. Knowing Christ brings transformation in Life and destiny
4. Knowing God gives birth to grace and peace in life
5. Knowing God generates energy, boldness and contentment

CONCLUSION:
It is impossible to know God and be unaffected by His power, grace and love. It is impossible to know God without longing to be like Him. (1 Jn. 2:3-6). Make up your mind now (today) and resolve to know God more and deeper as Apostle Paul did.

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 21:1-11

TOPIC: THE LORD NEEDS YOU

INTRODUCTION:
Today signifies the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. As the great king, it signifies the fulfillment of what the prophet has said in (Zech. 9:9).

When God needs someone, He has something for the person He wants to use. The Lord needs our souls to give eternal rest and everlasting life.

The Lord needs our service to serve Him in the church, family, workplace, and everywhere.

WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE TO GOD IN THE CHURCH?

1. Is it eye service or heart service?

2. Is your service acceptable to God?

3.The Lord needs your time; He wants us to spend quality time with Him.

4. The Lord wants us to repent so that we will not perish but have everlasting life.

5. The Lord wants us to follow Him so that He can show us the right way (Jn. 14:6).

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO FOLLOWED GOD AND THEIR REWARDS:

- Abraham -Gen.12:1-3.
- Moses -Exo.3:1-10.
- Joshua -josh.1:1-9.

THE BENEFIT OF FOLLOWING GOD

1. You will be like a tree planted by the riverside (Ps. 1:3).

2. You will be with Him on the last day.

BIBLICALLY EXAMPLE OF THOSE WHO REFUSED TO FOLLOW GOD

- Jonah
- S***m and comorrah
- Lot's wife

CONCLUSION:
Beloved, if you make yourself available, God is ever ready to use you mightily.

Don't neglect your calling; don't withhold your children.

For the Bible says, "Don't withhold your time, money, and your service, for the Lord needs them to fulfill His purpose.
