REPORT ON THE QUR’ANIC GRADUATION CEREMONY AT GDASS ABDULLAHI MAI MASALLACI, RINGIM
Introduction
GDASS Abdullahi Mai Masallaci, Ringim, successfully organized a Qur’anic Graduation Ceremony to celebrate and honour students who successfully completed their Qur’anic studies. The event served as an important occasion to promote Islamic education and encourage students toward academic and moral excellence. The ceremony attracted government officials, traditional leaders, education stakeholders, parents, and members of the community.
Attendance and Representation
The Executive Secretary of the Islamic Education Bureau (IEB), Dr. Mubarak Abdul Wahab Hassan, attended the occasion and was ably represented by the Director of Arabic Schools Services, Malam Yakubu Muhammad.
Her Excellency, Hajiya Amina Umar A. Namadi, wife of His Excellency Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, served as the Special Guest of Honour. Also in attendance was Engr. Dr. Surajo Musa.
The Senior Councillor of the Ringim Emirate and Chiroman Ringim served as the Royal Father of the Day, offering royal blessings and support to the graduating students and the school community.

Several directors, principals, teachers, and stakeholders from IEB schools
Remarks by the Executive Secretary
In his remarks delivered through his representative, the Executive Secretary of the Islamic Education Bureau highlighted the achievements recorded by the Bureau in improving teaching and learning across 81 schools under the IEB. He emphasized the Bureau’s commitment to strengthening both Islamic and western education through effective supervision, improved facilities, and continuous support for teachers and students.
He also congratulated the graduating students for their dedication, discipline, and successful completion of their Qur’anic studies.
Donations and Support
Support from Her Excellency
Her Excellency, Hajiya Amina Umar A. Namadi, pledged the following support to the school and students:
A shuttle bus for the school
“Kayan Daki” (household items) for two married graduating students
Donation by Senator Babangida Hussaini Kazaure
The Senator representing Jigawa North-West Senatorial District, Senator Babangida Hussaini Kazaure, donated a total sum of ₦2,820,000 to support the graduates and the school. The donation included:
₦10,000 for each graduating student
₦2,000,000 for the repair of the school bus
Donation by the CEO of MOZAB
The CEO of MOZAB also donated ₦900,000 to the graduates, distributed as follows:
₦10,000 to each graduate
₦50,000 each to the two best graduating students
Commissioning of New Classrooms
As part of the ceremony, Her Excellency commissioned a newly constructed I-block consisting of two classrooms built and donated by Alhaji Munzali Muhammad Z***ri. The project is expected to improve the school’s learning environment and provide additional classroom space for students.
