KEY_POINTS
* God is ultimately in charge: He is far above all principality and power.
* Even when the wind and sea obey Him: Jesus rebuked the storm and there was calm. When God is in Charge of your life, every storm must be still.
* He commands help for His own: He has given His angels Charge over us to keep us in all our ways.
* God looks for our willing submission: He seeks those who will willingly offer themselves to His will, like in the days of Deborah.

EXCERPTS FROM THE SERMON

- The Church is the assembly of believers; it is the dwelling place of God.

- The Church is a living entity that lives in Christ, not a dead thing like a building structure.

- The Church is called the Church of the Firstborn because of the new birth - whosoever is born in Christ is a new creature.

- According to the Old Testament, the firstborn is the first child of a family and the carrier of strength. The firstborn carries a legitimate right and inheritance.


CONCLUSION

- God is always interested in the firstborn, whether it be man or beast. He claims the firstborn as His own.

IRRESPONSIBLE FIRSTBORNS
Those who despised their birthright and lost their position:
- Cain - Rejected for offering without faith
- Esau - Sold his birthright for a morsel
- Reuben - Defiled his father's bed and lost the excellency

THE RESPONSIBLE FIRSTBORN
- JESUS CHRIST - The Faithful and True Firstborn who fulfilled all responsibility.

When the firstborns ran away from their responsibility, God regretted it and called the Levites to take the position of the firstborn. - Numbers 3:12

LAW OF THE FIRSTBORN
- Every firstborn must be redeemed; no firstborn is called without redemption.
- They are givers - they take responsibility.
- Their names are written in heaven. - Hebrews 12:23
