With joy and gratitude, they following sisters werw being presented as the newly reorganized Sunday School Presidency of Uwanse Ward, of Calabar Nigeria Etta Agbor Stake:

Today, 17th May 2026, marks a historic and inspiring moment in the ward as its sustained the first all-female Sunday School Presidency, following the new revelation by the First Presidency, heades by President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We are thankful for their willingness to serve and for answering the call with faith, humility, and dedication.

The Nyanghasang Ward of the Calabar Nigeria Etta-Agbor Stake joyfully welcomed a newly married couple after Sunday service on 10 May 2026. The couple, who were married on 2 May 2026, also officially graduated from the Young Single Adult (YSA) program. This special occasion provided a beautiful opportunity to formally receive the newly married sister into the ward family.

The celebration was honored by the presence of the Bishopric and members of the Ward Council as well as the Ward YSA Adviser, whose support and fellowship added to the warmth of the moment.

This joyful event serves as a powerful reminder of the sacred and eternal significance of marriage in the lives of God’s children, as taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—a covenant that strengthens families and unites them in faith and love.

Relief Society Worldwide of the Calabar Nigeria Etta Agbor Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered today to celebrate Sisters/women/mothers as part of this year's Relief Society Anniversary all over the world.
The Relief Society Worldwide is the official women’s organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, founded in 1842 to provide spiritual and temporal support, aid the needy, and strengthen families. With over 7 million members worldwide, it focuses on increasing faith in Jesus Christ, fostering sisterhood, and promoting charity under the motto "Charity Never Faileth"

The purpose of Relief Society was to 'prepare women for the blessings of eternal life as they increase faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and His Atonement; strengthen individuals, families, and homes through ordinances and covenants; and work in unity to help those in need.'
The values of Relief Society Worldwide is about Charity & Services; Fait & spirituality; strengthening home and family; and empowerment and education.

Yesterday was a truly uplifting and memorable day as the Akpabuyo Branch, under the Calabar Nigeria Etta Agbor Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its Branch Conference—bringing the year’s ward and branch conferences to a meaningful close.

With the inspiring theme “Is Anything Too Hard for the Lord?”, hearts were strengthened and faith renewed. The Branch President, Francis Abung, delivered a powerful message centered on unwavering trust in God, reminding members that no challenge is beyond the Lord’s power.

In his closing remarks, President Okon Akak encouraged everyone to remain steadfast in faith, emphasizing that trusting the Lord in every circumstance is the surest path to having our prayers heard and our needs met.

The conference was graced by the presence of the Stake President, Godwin Oboh, alongside his First Counselor, Ephraim Udobong , as well as Stake organizational leaders and High Councilors—adding strength and unity to the gathering.
It was a day filled with the Spirit, fellowship, and renewed commitment to walk by faith and trust in the Lord always.

Today marked a significant and uplifting moment during the Ward Conference of the Uwanse Ward, in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Calabar Nigeria Etta Agbor Stake as the Bishopric of the ward was officially reorganized.

Following the reorganization, Noel Chukwukerem sustained as the Bishop, with Gabriel Abung serving as the First Counselor, and Ating Ating Mkpofo as the Second Counselor. The occasion was filled with gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to service as members witnessed the transition of leadership.

In his remarks, Stake President Godwin Oboh emphasized the sacred responsibility and purpose of leadership within the Church. He reminded members that leadership in the Lord’s kingdom is not about authority alone, but about nurturing and empowering others. He noted that true leaders increase the capacity of others by giving them responsibility and opportunities to learn, serve, and grow, thereby strengthening the Church.

The outgoing Bishopric also shared heartfelt reflections and testimonies of their time in service. With deep gratitude, they thanked the members of the ward for their love, cooperation, and support throughout their tenure. They expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and encouraged members to continue extending the same unity, faith, and support to the newly called Bishopric as they build upon the foundation that has already been laid.

The conference concluded on a hopeful and inspiring note, with members united in their commitment to support the new leadership and to continue working together in faith and service to strengthen the Uwanse Ward.

Yellow Duke Ward Conference, being one of the first Ward Conference of The Calabar Nigeria Etta Agbor Stake held today 11th January, 2025. The Bishop Ini Akpan, who talked on the theme of the conference - Strengthening Familied and Individuals, encouraged members and friends as well as reminding them of the Church-Supportef and family- centred gospel learning and training, for a strengthened families and individuals.
The Stake President, President Godwin Oboh, in His remarks, re-emphasis the need for members and families for them to embrace the gospel map that will lead them to the eternal blessing of God and His Son Jesus Christ.

The Calabar Nigeria Etta-Agbo Stake, held its 2025 End-of-Year Activity on the 6th Dec., 2025 as messages were shared by Bishops Michael Okwa and John Kufre who speaks about the Spirit of Christmas and how we can how love and serve one another.
It was a beautiful and memorable event witnessing all the various wards in the Stake showcasing their presentations as a way of sharing love and services.

Members of Etta-Agbor Ward at the Aba Nigeria Temple for their Temple Worship, were members where endowed and families sealed.
What a magnificent and refreshing moment to these brothers and sisters. The members were privileged to worshiped alongside two Area Seventy - Elder Victor Bassey and Elder Patrick Appianti-Sarpong, what a great blessing to behold.
