TOPIC:‘’Understanding the power in the name Jesus‘’
BIBLE REFS:Philippians 2:9-11

Mark 16:17
Acts 4:1
Acts 3:6
Romans 10:14
Psalm 91:14
Malachi 4:2
INTRODUCTION
The name of Jesus is not just an ordinary name. It carries authority, power, and victory because Jesus Christ is Lord. God has highly exalted Him and given Him a name that is above every other name.

1. The Name of Jesus Carries Authority

When we call upon the name of Jesus, we are calling upon the authority of Christ. His name is greater than every power and every situation.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.” — Philippians 2:9

2. There Is Salvation in His Name

Jesus is the only way to salvation. Through His name, we receive forgiveness and a restored relationship with God.

Acts 4:12 tells us that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

3. His Name Gives Victory

The name of Jesus reminds us that we do not have to face life’s challenges depending only on our own strength. We can trust in Christ and stand firmly in faith.

4. We Must Use His Name With Faith and Reverence

The power is not in simply repeating the words “Jesus” without faith. We must believe in Jesus, trust Him, and live according to His Word. His name should not be used carelessly or as a magic phrase.

5. The Name of Jesus Should Be Glorified

Everything we do as Christians should point people to Jesus. His name should be honored in our words, actions, prayers, and daily lives.

WHAT IT MEANS TO ISE THE NAME OF THAT LORD
It’s not just saying the words. It means:
1. Relationship - Knowing Him personally, not just using His name
2. Faith - Believing He is who He said He is
3. Alignment- Asking according to His character and will
4. Reverence - Respecting that His name represents His authority

CONCLUSION
Understanding the power in the name of Jesus means understanding who Jesus is and the authority He carries. His name brings salvation, hope, victory, and confidence to those who believe in Him.
