HAPPY NEW MONTH CHILDREN OF GOD
Welcome to the month of August.

It's not just a song but also a testimony....truly, serving God is not a vain labour 💪🙏

It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart,
He'll always be with us, if we do our part
There's naught in this wide world can pleasure afford;
There's peace and contentment in serving the Lord.

CHORUS
I love Him far better than in days of yore
I'll serve Him more truly than ever before,
I'll do as He bids me, whatever the cost,
I'll be a true soldier, I'll die at my post.

And oft when I'm tempted to turn from the track,
I think of my Saviour, my mind wanders back
To the place where they nailed Him on Calvary's tree.
I heard a voice saying, "I suffered for thee."

A place I remember where I was set free,
'Twas where I found pardon, a heaven to me.
There Jesus spoke sweetly to my weary soul,
My sins were forgiven, He made my heart whole.

How rich is the blessing the world cannot give,
I'm satisfied fully for Jesus to live;
Though friends may forsake me and trial arise,
I am trusting Jesus, His love never dies.

There is no one like Jesus can cheer me today.
His love and His kindness can ne'er fade away,
In winter and summer, in sunshine and rain,
His love and affection are always the same.

Will you have this blessing that Jesus bestows,
A free full salvation from sin's bitter throes?
O come to the Saviour, to Calvary flee,
The fountain is opened, is flowing for thee.

AFTER WORSHIP SERVICE... FELLOWSHIP DEY SWEET, SEE SMILING FACES 😄📸🖼️
There's joy in God's presence. Let's continue in spirit.
HAPPY NEW MONTH😄😊🎉 once again

Matthew 6:33
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Jesus talking about putting God before worries, money, needs. When you are genuinely willing, a way comes out as God guides you.
So “Trust in the Lord with all your heart... and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

TOPIC:
The Spiritual Significance of Worship With or Without Instruments: The Right Order According to the Bible Today

INTRODUCTION
Worship is one of the most important responsibilities of humanity. It is the expression if reverence, love, obedience, and submission to God. However, one question that has generated discussion among Christians is: Does acceptable worship require musical instruments, or is worship without instruments the biblical pattern for the church today?
The goal is not merely to discuss music, but to examine what God desires in worship according to Scripture.

KEY TEXTS:
John 4:23–24 — “God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
Colossians 3:16 — “Teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs…”
Hebrews 13:15 — “Let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips…”

UNDERSTANDING BIBLICAL WORSHIP
A. Worship is more than a musical expression
Worship includes:
*Reverence for God
Psalm 95:6 — “O come, let us worship and bow down…”
*Obedience to God
1 Samuel 15:22 — “To obey is better than sacrifice…”
*A life dedicated to God
Romans 12:1 — “Present your bodies a living sacrifice…”
True worship comes from the heart before it comes from the mouth.

WORSHIP IN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND INSTRUMENTS
In the Old Testament, musical instruments were used in Israel’s worship.
Examples:
Psalm 150:3–5
“Praise him with the sound of the trumpet… psaltery and harp…”
2 Chronicles 29:25
Instruments were appointed during temple worship.
Why?
The Old Testament worship system included:
Temple
Priests
Animal sacrifices
Special ceremonies
Instruments
These were connected with the Old Covenant worship system.

THE WORSHIP PATTERN UNDER THE NEW COVENANT
With the coming of Christ, worship changed from the physical temple system to a spiritual relationship with God.
Jesus said:
John 4:21–24
“The hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father… true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth.”
The focus moved from:
Physical location → spiritual relationship
External ceremony → internal devotion
Old covenant symbols → Christ’s completed work

SINGING IN THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH
The New Testament gives clear instructions concerning music in Christian worship.
Ephesians 5:19
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”
Notice:
The instrument mentioned is the heart.
Colossians 3:16
“Teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs…”
Singing serves two purposes:
Praise God
Teach and encourage believers

THE EARLY CHURCH AND INSTRUMENTAL WORSHIP
The New Testament records:
Singing (Matthew 26:30)
Prayers (Acts 2:42)
Teaching (Acts 20:7)
Giving (1 Corinthians 16:1–2)
Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7)
But it does not record the apostolic church using instruments in congregational worship.
The emphasis was:
Voices
Hearts
Spiritual songs
Understanding

IS INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC SINFUL?
The Bible must be our authority.
Two views exist among Christians:
*View 1: Instruments are acceptable
Some Christians believe instruments can be used because:
They were used in Old Testament worship
They can aid praise and expression
*View 2: Acapella worship follows the New Testament pattern
*Others believe:
The church should follow the specific worship instructions given by Christ and the apostles
Since New Testament worship commands singing but does not command instruments, congregational worship should remain without instruments

THE IMPORTANT QUESTION IS:
“What pattern has God given for the church under the New Covenant?”

THE RIGHT ORDER OF WORSHIP ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE
Biblical worship should have:
1. The Right Object — God
Matthew 4:10
“Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God…”
Not man, emotions, popularity, or entertainment.
2. The Right Attitude — Spirit and Truth
John 4:24
Worship must have:
Sincerity
Understanding
Holiness
Love
3. The Right Authority — God’s Word
Colossians 3:17
“Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus…”
Every practice should have biblical authority.
4. The Right Heart — Inner Transformation
Psalm 51:17
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit…”
God accepts the worshipper before the worship.

THE DANGER OF WRONG WORSHIP
Jesus warned:
Matthew 15:9
“In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
Worship can be:
Sincere but wrong
Emotional but not biblical
Attractive but not acceptable to God

CONCLUSION
The greatest issue in worship is not the presence or absence of instruments; the greatest issue is whether our worship follows God’s will.

The Bible teaches that true worship today must be:
God-centered
Spirit-filled
Truth-based
Heart-driven
According to the teaching of Christ and the apostles

The question every believer should ask is not: “What do I prefer?” but “What pleases God?”

Romans 12:1
“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
