18 SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR A:

As part of this year's Harvest and Bazzar activities, the parish observed a candle lighting session during which the parish faithfuls picked and lit a candle from the alter of the Most High. This spiritual exercise emobied blessings that drew many to tap from it.
If, from a single tongue of flame, multiple candles were lit without loosing its essence as witnessed today, what makes you thing the same One God cannot attend to every of our individual needs brought before Him in prayers.
May the fire of His love continue to burn unceasingly in our lives through Christ our Lord. Amen.

18 SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR A

At no price, He daily gives us His Flesh. We should learn to reciprocate this divine gesture by:
- always reaching out to the needy
- volunteering our services where needed
- comforting the sorrowful
- Supporting His church no matter how little because, each time we offer to give from our heart no matter how little, He always promises abundance in return. This He manifested in today's Gospel ( Matt. 14:13-21)

the Catholic Youths Organization of Nigeria (CYON), St. Matthew Catholic Church Ushafa Abuja, kicks off their Youths' Week Programs today in ernest with an amazing car wash activities. This was preceded by a dramatic sensitization outing last Sunday, where they left the entire congregation stunned and enchanted with their entertaining presence.
