UNSHAKABLE FAITH—NO MORE SHAME

*Romans 10:11* For the scripture said, Whoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.

Introduction

We live in a world governed by performance and judgment. From social media metrics to corporate ladders, we are constantly evaluated. The fear of failure, rejection, and ultimate exposure is real. If our deepest, secret thoughts were broadcast for everyone to see, we would all die of embarrassment.
But the Apostle Paul brings a life-altering truth from ancient scripture directly into our modern vulnerability. He declares that there is a way to live completely free from the fear of ultimate disappointment.

Every person carries hidden fears, past mistakes, or the weight of public and private failures. Paul anchors our fragile hearts to an unshakeable Old Testament foundation in Isaiah 28:16 (Whoever believes in him will not be put to shame).

*The Core Question:* What does it mean to "not be ashamed" in a world that constantly tries to mock, reject, or cancel the believer?

*The Shift from Law to Grace:* Paul has just explained that righteousness does not come through human striving or keeping a strict list of rules (Romans 10:4–10).

*The Cornerstone:* Jesus Christ is the solid rock. When you build your life on Him, you will not sink when storms or accusations come.

*Simple Belief:* True belief means resting the full weight of your soul, your guilt, and your future upon who Jesus is and what He did on the cross.

What "Not Be Ashamed" Actually Means

*Not Final Disappointment:* The original Greek concept means not being confounded or let down. The world may misunderstand you, and people may look down on your faith, but God will never leave your trust empty.

*Vindication at the Judgment:* The ultimate fulfillment of this verse is the final judgment. While self-righteousness and human goodness will crumble under God’s holy standard, those clothed in Christ's righteousness will stand unashamed.

*Turning Scars into Testimony:* God takes earthly rejection and turns it into a platform for His grace.

It does not matter where you come from, what your background is, or how deep your past failures run. The "whosoever" means you. Believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth go hand in hand (Romans 10:9–10).

Conclusion

Lay down the heavy burden of trying to hide your flaws or earn God's approval. If you have placed your faith in Jesus, God has stamped your life with a guarantee: You will not be put to shame.

WALKING IN DIVINE AUTHORITY

PART 2
Luke 10:19 (KJV)“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

3. The Ironclad Guarantee: Nothing Shall Hurt You
The verse concludes with an absolute promise: “...and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” This is an ironclad, double-negative in the Greek syntax, meaning: “Nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever harm you.

This does not mean the enemy won't try to attack. It means that even when he throws his worst at you, it will not succeed in destroying your destiny. The fire might be hot, but like the three Hebrew boys, you will come out without even the smell of smoke. The weapons may form, but they will not prosper.

How to Activate Your Authority

- *Shift Your Focus:* Stop magnifying the devil's actions. What you focus on enlarges in your perception. Look away from the problem and fix your eyes on the power of Christ residing within you.

- *Enforce the Word:* God's word is your sword. When the enemy brings symptoms of sickness, open your mouth and declare the Word: “By His stripes, I am healed!” Speak with the boldness of a king.

- *Refuse Fear:* Fear is the currency of the dark realm; it opens the door to the enemy's manipulation. Reject fear, stand firmly, and walk confidently.

Conclusion & Prayer

You are not a helpless victim waiting for the next blow from the enemy. You are a child of the Most High God, fully authorized, heavily defended, and completely secure in Christ Jesus. Step into your week knowing that the ground you walk on is territory the enemy has already lost.

I take authority over every demonic serpent assigned to my family, and I crush them under my feet

I decree that no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper, and nothing shall by any means hurt me.

Father, immunize my life, my health, and my home with Your fire against every evil attack.

WALKING IN DIVINE AUTHORITY
PART 1
Luke 10:19 (KJV)“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Beloved, we live in a world where many believers walk around defeated, discouraged, and overwhelmed by the circumstances of life. But in Luke 10:19, Jesus Christ issues a royal decree to His church. He did not design you to be a victim of your circumstances, your lineage, or the traps of the devil. He designed you to walk in absolute dominion.

When Jesus spoke these words, His seventy disciples had just returned with joy, marveling that even demons submitted to them in His name. Jesus stopped them and said, “Look deeper. I have given you something far greater than a temporary victory—I have given you a permanent state of authority.

The Two Kinds of Power: Exousia vs. Dunamis

To fully understand this text, we must look at the original Greek language, which uses two completely different words for "power" in this single verse

- *The First Power (Exousia):* When Jesus says, “I give unto you power to tread...” the Greek word used is Exousia. This does not mean physical muscle; it means legal authority, delegated right, and official mandate.

- *The Second Power (Dunamis):* When He says, “...and over all the power of the enemy,” the Greek word is Dunamis, which means inherent ability, force, or raw energy.

Think of a traffic warden standing in front of a massive, speeding transit truck. The warden does not have the physical strength (Dunamis) to physically stop a 10-ton vehicle. But when they lift their hand, the truck screeches to a halt. Why? Because the warden stands in the delegated authority (Exousia) of the entire government.

Jesus is telling you: Satan may have dunamis (force, tricks, and weapons), but you have been clothed with exousia (the legal authority of heaven to shut him down)! Your authority is backed by God Himself

2. Disarming the Strategies of the EnemyJesus specifically mentions two entities we have authority over:

Serpents: Symbolizing deception, lies, and subtlety. The serpent injects venom secretly. This represents spiritual attacks aimed at your mind—thoughts of depression, worthlessness, and lies about God's faithfulness.

Scorpions: Symbolizing hidden threats, sudden stings, and pain. A scorpion attacks from behind, using its tail. These are the unexpected setbacks in health, business, or relationships designed to cause sudden agony.

Notice what Jesus instructs us to do with them: Tread on them. You do not negotiate with a snake. You do not counsel a scorpion. You trample them under your feet. Through Christ, you are structurally positioned above the reasoning and trickery of the enemy.

*PRAYER POINTS*

Father, thank You for giving me spiritual authority and the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name.

Lord, open my eyes to understand my true identity and position in Christ.

I receive the grace to walk in bold faith and exercise dominion over every obstacle.

Every hidden trap and subtle plan of the enemy against my life is exposed and destroyed now.

I command every painful sting, betrayal, and venom of the enemy to be neutralized by the blood of Jesus.

THE COVENANT OF FRUITFULNESS

Scripture Text: Deuteronomy 7:14 – “You shall be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.”

Introduction

Every human being carries a deep desire to see the work of their hands, their bodies, and their lives flourish. Yet, many face seasons that feel dry, empty, and stagnant. If you are waiting on the blessing of children, the pain of an empty womb can feel heavy.

The Superiority of the Divine Covenant

The opening of this verse says, "You shall be blessed above all people

- *The Power of "Shall":* In biblical terms, the word "shall" indicates a covenant obligation that cannot be broken. It is not a probability; it is a certainty.
- *Above All Reports:* Being blessed "above all people" means your outcome is not bound by the natural laws, statistics, or limitations that govern others. When the medical report says one thing, the covenant of God says another. God’s truth is completely superior to physical facts.

Total Exemption from Barrenness

The scripture continues: "...there shall not be male or female barren among you...

- *A Complete Circle of Blessing:* God addresses both male and female, ensuring that every roadblock to reproduction is removed.
- *Universal Productivity:* God even extends this promise to the cattle and livestock, showing that anything tied to you is commanded to produce. If God cares enough to ensure that the animals of His people are fruitful, how much more does He care about the fruit of your womb? You are His ultimate priority.

Walking in Your Fruitfulness

How do we anchor our hearts in this promise while we wait?

- *Remember God's First Mandate:* In Genesis 1:28, the very first command God gave to humanity was to "be fruitful and multiply." Fruitfulness is your natural state in the Kingdom of God. Barrenness is an abnormality that the covenant corrects.
- *Shift Your Identity:* Do not label yourself by your current season. Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth all faced seasons of waiting, but God shifted their identities from barren to mothers of nations. Your waiting period is not a denial; it is the runway for a testimony.
- *Speak the Promise:* Constantly declare Deuteronomy 7:14 over your life. Speak to your body, stand on the word of God, and praise Him for the children you cannot see yet.

Prophetic Prayer & Declaration

Heavenly Father, I thank You because Your word is a shield and a final authority. I stand on the covenant of Deuteronomy 7:14 today. I declare that I am blessed above all people. I break every spirit of delay, dryness, or stagnation in my body. I command my womb to align with the word of the Living God. I will not be barren. I will carry my children, I will rejoice, and my house will be filled with the joy of fruitfulness. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

THE FULL STORY OF GRACE

Scripture: “And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come on them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.” — Exodus 18:8 (KJV)

Introduction

Church, we live in a culture dominated by "highlight reels." On social media, we share the promotions, the vacations, and the smiles. We rarely post the tears, the sleepless nights, or the financial panic.

But when Moses sits down in a tent with his father-in-law, Jethro, he doesn't give a curated, sanitized version of the Exodus. Exodus 18:8 gives us a masterclass in honest testimony. Moses told him everything: the grand victories, the crushing pains, and the undeniable rescue.

If you want your life to be a powerful witness to those around you, you must learn to tell the whole story of God’s grace.

*Point 1: Remember the Heart of God ("For Israel's Sake")*

Moses starts by recounting what God did to Pharaoh and the Egyptians. He mentions the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, and the downfall of the world's greatest superpower. But look at why God did it. The text says it was “for Israel’s sake.”

God didn't overthrow Egypt just to put on a cosmic fireworks show. He did it because He heard the groaning of His children. He did it because He loved them.

When you share your story, remember the motive behind your miracles. God’s intervention in your life isn't random luck. It is the deliberate, targeted, relentless love of a Father acting on your behalf.

*Point 2: Embrace the Reality of the Desert ("All the Travail by the Way")*

This is where Moses’ testimony gets incredibly real. He didn't just talk about the splitting of the sea. He also told Jethro about “all the travail”—the friction, the exhaustion, the bitter water, and the dry deserts.

Many believers think that sharing a testimony means pretending everything is perfect once you follow Christ. That is a lie. Moses was deeply honest about the struggle. They faced real starvation. They faced fierce enemies like the Amalekites. They dealt with internal grumbling.

Do not hide your scars. Your "travail" doesn't diminish God’s glory; it provides the very backdrop for it. People cannot relate to a perfect life, but they can deeply relate to a painful journey.

*Point 3: Magnify the Deliverer ("How the LORD Delivered Them")*

Moses finishes the conversation with the ultimate punchline of the gospel: “and how the LORD delivered them.”

Notice that Moses is the leader of millions of people, yet his story is completely empty of self-congratulation. He doesn't say, "Look at how I managed this crisis." He says, "Look at how Jehovah rescued us." Every time a hardship ("travail") showed up on the path, a deliverance from God was right behind it.

When they were trapped at the sea, God opened a highway.

When the water was bitter, God made it sweet.

When they had no food, God rained bread from heaven.

The final word of your story should never be your struggle; it must always be your Savior.

Conclusion & Action Plan

What was the result of this raw, unfiltered testimony? Verse 9 tells us that Jethro rejoiced, and verse 11 tells us he declared, “Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods.”

Jethro’s faith was sparked because Moses was honest about both the miracles and the misery. If you want your loved ones to see the reality of God, stop hiding the messy middle of your journey. Speak of His goodness, own your struggles, and boast of His deliverance

THE ENVY TRAP: WHEN SUCCESS STEALS YOUR JOY

Ecclesiastes 4:4 Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbor. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.

This verse warns that human ambition and hard work are often driven by an unhealthy jealousy of others rather than pure joy. This verse highlights the danger of envy, the emptiness of a competitive life, and the true source of peace.

The Problem of Envy in Work

*Driven by Jealousy:* Much of the hard work and success we see in the world does not come from a good place. People often try hard and build wealth just to beat or outshine their neighbors.
*Target of Malice:* When someone does a good or skillful job, they often become the target of anger and bitter envy from the people living around them. Excellence invites hostility instead of simple joy.

The Emptiness of the Rat Race

*A Chasing After Wind:* Trying to live just to impress others or match what they have is empty. Solomon calls this "vanity and vexation of spirit"—a painful, frustrating effort that cannot fill the human heart.
*No Real Satisfaction:* Riches and trophies gained through a spirit of rivalry do not bring lasting rest. They only feed a endless cycle of stress and competition.

Finding True Contentment

*Quiet Rest Over Stress:* The Bible points to a better way in the very next verses: having a little bit with peace and quiet is much better than working yourself to death with both hands full of stress.
*Working with the Right Heart:* Instead of working out of envy, we are called to work with a quiet and thankful heart, finding our worth in God rather than in comparison to our neighbor.

PRAYER POINTS

Lord, remove any selfish ambition, jealousy, or desire to outshine others from my work and achievements.

Father, protect my relationships from the poison of rivalry and neighborly envy.

Oh Lord, deliver me from laboring just to feed my pride or chase the wind.

WHEN MAN BECOMES HIS OWN KING

*Judges 17:6* In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
This verse describes a dark time of spiritual confusion where people rejected God's rule, abandoned His clear laws, and chose to live by their own feelings and personal opinions.

The Danger of Self-Rule

*Ignoring God's Word:*
When people stop using the Bible as their true guide, they make up their own rules for life.
*Mixing Truth and Lies:* In this chapter, a man named Micah made his own idols and hired his own personal priest, thinking he could worship God on his own terms.
*Following Feelings:* Saying "if it feels right, do it" leads a family, a church, and a whole country into deep trouble and sadness.

*Looking to the True King*

*The Missing Ruler:* Israel forgot that God was supposed to be their real King.
*Jesus Our Savior:* Jesus is the true King who never did what was right in His own eyes, but always obeyed His Father in heaven.
*Living Under His Grace:* We must turn away from our own selfish ways and let Jesus rule our hearts and actions every day.

Ask God to cleanse your heart from living by the standard of "what feels right" rather than what is holy.

Pray for a daily, obedient heart that humbly accepts God's Word as the final authority in your life.

MIND WHAT YOU SAY

*Ecclesiastes 5:6* Suffer not your mouth to cause your flesh to sin; neither say you before the angel, that it was an error: why should God be angry at your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?

Ecclesiastes 5:6 warns against making hasty promises to God and then attempting to excuse them as a mistake. This verse cautions that careless words lead to sin, inviting divine displeasure and the potential undoing of your life’s labor. True reverence requires thoughtful, deliberate, and faithful speech.

*The Weight of Our Words*
The passage opens with a call to integrity. In verses 4 and 5, the Preacher advises that when you make a vow to God, you must fulfill it without delay. He makes it clear that it is better not to make a promise at all than to make one and fail to keep it. Words are not mere breath; they establish a spiritual obligation.When we speak carelessly—especially in times of distress or to make ourselves look righteous—we often commit our flesh to actions we cannot or do not intend to fulfill. The mouth leads the flesh into sin when we use language to manipulate, deceive, or avoid accountability.

*Excuses Before the Messenger*
The verse goes on to warn: "neither say you before the angel, that it was an error". Historically, the "angel" or "messenger" refers to the priest or representative of God at the temple to whom a vow or offering was reported.When the time came to pay the vow, the offender would try to backtrack, telling the messenger, "It was just a mistake—I didn't really mean it." The Preacher is condemning this spiritual sleight of hand. You cannot play games with the Almighty. Claiming a vow was made in "error" is often just a cover for greed, forgetfulness, or a lack of reverence.

*The Danger of God’s Anger*
Why does the Preacher take this so seriously? "Why should God be angry at your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?".This highlights a profound spiritual truth: our unfaithfulness has tangible consequences. God is a holy and just God. When we treat Him with contempt by making flippant promises and brushing them off as "errors," we forfeit His blessing upon our labor. The anger of God can manifest in the undoing of your efforts—the work of your hands loses its fruitfulness, and your plans begin to unravel.

*A Call to Reverence and Integrity*
The lesson of this verse is about the fear of the Lord. It teaches us to measure our words before we speak.Think before you promise: Do not let emotion or impulse dictate the commitments you make to God or others.Be a person of your word: If you say you will do something, strive to do it.Do not make excuses: Own your commitments rather than trying to explain away broken promises with casual excuses.Ultimately, this scripture points us toward a life of authenticity. Let your communication be simple, honest, and filled with reverence. Walk carefully, listen more than you speak, and let the integrity of your mouth preserve the work of your hands.

OVERCOMING THE OVERFLOW

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle on you.

God does not remove us from life's trials, but rather walks through them with us. This verse assures that overwhelming floods of adversity will not drown us, and the consuming fires of suffering will not destroy us.

The Reality of the "Waters" and "Fires

"The verse opens with "When you pass through the waters... when you walk through the fire." Notice that God does not say "if." He acknowledges that trials, hardships, and pain are a natural part of the human experience. Whether the "water" symbolizes deep sorrow, overwhelming life circumstances, or the "fire" represents persecution, financial ruin, or sudden crisis, the focus is on the journey. We are not expected to stay in the fire; we are "passing through" it.

The Power of "I Will Be With You

The comfort in this verse is not found in the removal of the hardship, but in the presence of God Himself. Just as God was present with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3), He promises to be intimately involved in our struggles. God's presence changes the nature of the trial. The storms of life may rage, but they are localized and controlled by His sovereignty.

The Divine Guarantee: "They Shall Not Overflow You

God gives a two-fold promise of protection:The Waters: "They shall not overflow you." The water may rise up to your neck, but it will not drown you.The Fire: "You shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle on you." The fire may surround you, but it will not consume you.These guarantees mean that no matter how difficult or chaotic life becomes, the adversity will not have the final say. God limits the power of the trial. We are preserved and sustained by His grace.

Application for Your Life
