OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD!

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 KJV



When someone seems to intentionally wrong or hurt you, it is a common reaction that you would want to pay them back and get even for what they have done. Even when children play, and one of them starts to tease or hit their playmate, the victim child will naturally hit back or tease back. This is the natural pattern of the world since there is no Holy Spirit to produce self-control, love, gentleness, peace, patience, and kindness (Galatians 5:22-23).



Beloved, we are different from how this world works (Romans 12:2). God wants us to avoid being overcome with evil by relying on Him, running to His Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to enable us to be able to repay evil with good! It may be easier said than done, but God makes all things possible! He raises the dead to life, and He can transform hearts with seeds of love! The greatest seed of God’s Love is in you, beloved (John 3:16)! You are an overcomer in Christ! Glory to the Father!



Prayer point: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word that transforms the pattern of my thinking. While it can be really challenging to overcome evil with good, I know that Your Spirit will strengthen me when such times come in my life. And I will overcome good with evil, not by might but by Your Spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen!
