APRIL 2025 BILLIRI EASTER CELEBRATION; A LINGERING TRAGEDY THAT WON'T LET GO OF IT VICTIM.

During the tragic accident that happened last year around April 2025 during easter celebration in Billiri Local Government Gombe State, many lives were lost, many were injured, people cried, people posted and people moved on.

BUT MOSES FESTUS DIN'T MOVE ON🥺

For over a year, this young man has been lying in the hospital bed. One year of pain. One year of watching life pass by from a hospital bed. One year of his family struggling, hoping, praying and running out of strength.

Now it has gotten to the point where 18 years old Moses is at the risk of losing his legs. Imagine waking up every day knowing that what could have been treated earlier is now becoming something permanent, simply because there is no money.

Apart from the outstanding bills already incurred, Moses need 6 pines of blood for transfusion and after the surgery, some irons will be fixed on his legs to aid in mobility; the iron alone is worth 1.8 million naira. His parents are exhausted. They have sold, borrowed, begged and still, it is not enough.

THIS IS WHERE YOU AND I COME IN 🙏

Please, I'm begging you, don't scroll past this. Don't say “God will help” and move on. You can be the help. No amount is too small. ₦500, ₦1,000, ₦2,000… whatever you can afford. If 1,500 people give ₦1,000, this surgery becomes possible. His life changes. His future is saved.

If you don't have to give now, please share this post. Let it reach someone who can help. Let it get to people in power. Let it get to organizations, leaders, anyone with a heart.

*THE DANGERS OF AN UNTRAINED PASTOR*

When a pastor is not properly trained—spiritually, biblically, and in leadership—the consequences can affect not only the pastor but the entire church.

1. Spiritual Confusion in the Church
Hosea 4:6 – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
Wrong teachings
Doctrinal errors
Misinterpretation of Scripture
When the shepherd lacks understanding, the sheep suffer.

2. Moral Failure
1 Timothy 3:2
Lack of character development
Poor self-control
Falling into temptation
Training helps build discipline and accountability.

3. Church Division and Conflict
Proverbs 29:2
Poor handling of disagreements
Favoritism
Harsh leadership style
An untrained pastor may create tension instead of unity.

4. Abuse of Authority
1 Peter 5:2–3
Controlling behavior
Manipulation
Using fear instead of love
Without proper training, leadership can become dictatorship.

5. Financial Mismanagement
Poor accountability
Lack of transparency
Misuse of church funds
This can damage trust and reputation.

6. Burnout and Family Neglect
1 Timothy 3:5
Inability to balance ministry and home
Emotional exhaustion
Family breakdown
Training teaches time management and healthy boundaries.

7. Stagnant Church Growth
Proverbs 11:14 – “Where there is no counsel, the people fall.”
No clear vision
No leadership structure
No mentorship system
Without training, progress becomes difficult.

8. Loss of Credibility
Community loses respect
Members become discouraged
Ministry reputation suffers
One untrained leader can damage many lives.

Conclusion

Calling is important, but preparation is essential.
2 Timothy 2:15 – “Study to show thyself approved…”
God calls pastors, but training equips them to:
Teach sound doctrine
Lead wisely
Protect the flock
Finish well
An untrained pastor is a risk to the church, but a trained pastor is a blessing to generations.

ECWA Elects General Secretary and Vice President at 73rd General Council Meeting

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) held its 73rd General Council Meeting in Jos, Plateau State, where elections were conducted for the offices of General Secretary and Vice President.

During the process, Rev.(Dr.)Ayuba Asheshe was re-elected as ECWA General Secretary for a second term. Rev. Chidi Joseph NmaduBuko emerged as the new ECWA Vice President.

In another development, Rev. Dr. Ezekiel Babatunde Omidiji was returned elected as Trustee for Zone 9.

We pray God grants them wisdom to lead ECWA to His glory. Amen.
