🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached" (LUKE 7:22).*_
*Every age produces its heroes and celebrities in politics, sports, arts, science, etc. It is instructive however that the greatness of these men and women has limitation in time and scope.*
*John the Baptist in our text sent two of his disciples to inquire from Jesus if He was the expected One or there was yet another to come. John was the forerunner of Jesus and had begun the ministry of reconciliation of the Jewish nation to God through his preaching on repentance and baptism. Jesus' reply to John was clear testimonies of deliverance of people from satanic bo***ge and the preaching of the gospel to all and sundry.*
*Yes, Jesus is the expected One and there is no other to come. He is the Son of God and Messiah of the world. His greatness has been unsurpassed and remains unsurpassable. His creative ability dwarfs the most spectacular scientific breakthroughs. His conquering power is incomparable; His healing capability pales into insignificance the ability of the greatest physicians. He is the greatest Teacher that ever lived. His influence on everyone, regardless of social status, that comes in contact with Him, is life-transforming. He is the King of kings, the Lord of lords.*
*The question is, have you met Him? If you have not, do not harden your heart; come under His authority through repentance and faith in His atoning blood. If you do, your life will have meaning and your eternity in heaven will be sure.*
