DON'T GIVE CONTROL TO THE FLESH

Colossians 3:1-2
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

One major set back Christians experience is when they begin to live a life yielded to the flesh. Most Christians are born again but have not allowed the Spirit of God take control of their lives.

As a Christian, you don't give everything demanded to the flesh, if you do, the flesh will begin to control you. Galatians 5:17 says, "For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want."

The flesh and the Spirit are in constant war against each other, and it's impossible to serve both, you have to choose one. The one you choose becomes master over your life, choosing the flesh leads to death and choosing to live after the Spirit tends to life everlasting.

When you walk in the Spirit, you will not fulfill the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

Galatians 5:25 says, "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." Always follow the leading of the Spirit, consciously mortify the flesh, and set your affection on the things that pleases God.

AFFIRMATION
I live the Spirit filled life, I’m under the control of the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit is the only influence allowed in my world. I’m aglow and burning with the Spirit of God.

THE DOOR OF SALVATION

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is the way meaning He's the access point. Salvation is the access point to receive all that God has given you. If you have Jesus, you have access.
Jesus is the way and whatever you need, you must go through Him.

Jesus said in John 10:9 KJV, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
That door you've been seeking to experience abundance is Jesus.

What's so profound about that door? Firstly, you will be saved. Secondly, you shall go in and out and find pastures. What's pasture? It represents places of abundance where the sheep find enough food to eat. Remember that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and He leads and protects His sheep.

Every child of God is His sheep, so as a child of God when you go through that Door, you are not meant to find sickness, defeat, or death but pastures. Learn to trust and follow His leading in obedience to His word.

AFFIRMATION
Thank you Father for saving and leading me to green pastures. I acknowledge you as my Shepherd, and I walk in success, health and prosperity. Hallelujah.

YOU HAVE ACCESS

Revelation 3:8 KJV
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

God has opened doors unto you but your faith will determine if you will walk through those doors. Open doors bring about access. God has granted you access that nobody can stop.

In the Kingdom of God, there are no bouncers that is trying to prevent you from entering; when Jesus died on the cross, the veil was torn and you were given access into the throne room; meaning you can access your Father anytime, you can also communicate and take anything you want.

Revelation 3:7-8 KJV says, “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”

The scripture above says that God is holy and true, so His words are true and we can hold Him for His words. God has given you access out of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son and the moment you step out, God shuts the kingdom of darkness behind you.

You have no business looking backwards at the door He has shut behind you.
Philippians 3:13 KJV says,”Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”

If you are being oppressed, God is saying, ‘I have opened the door of light to you, walk through it.”
Walk in that consciousness that you have access to opened doors.

AFFIRMATION
I am a child of God-an heir of God therefore I have access to every door God has opened to me and I walk through it by faith. Hallelujah.

As we continue in The Month of the Kingdom, our dear man of God, Pastor Nath Okpekpe, continues to bring us the Word of God, reminding us of the importance of being planted, staying connected, and growing in our faith.

This Sunday, we were reminded that if our faith is not tried, our faith will not grow. Through the Word, we were taught the things that can cause a believer to break the hedge and the importance of remaining rooted in God and connected to the brethren.

If your faith is not tried your faith will not grow
Psalm 92:13–14

Until you are planted you can not flourish. God made man to fellowship and not for isolation.

Reasons why people leave churches

1. Sin — when man sins he begins to hide himself.
Genesis 3:6–7
Proverbs 28:1
Sin replaces your faith with fear.

2. Unforgiveness
Matt 6:15
Matt 18:21–22

3. Deception

4. Disconnection

How do people break the hedge

1. Wrong confession
2. Fear
3. Sin
Job 3:25–26

What to do

1. Confess your sin if you have any
1 John 1:9

2. Forgive if anyone has offended you
Mark 11:25

3. Start with what God says

4. Stay connected with the other Brethren
I Thessalonians 5:11

What did you learn in service today?

As we reflect on today's service, what did the Word teach you? What stood out to you, and what are you going to do differently as you continue to grow in your faith and walk with God?

THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN II

Malachi 3:10 GNT
Bring the full amount of your tithes to the Temple, so that there will be plenty of food there. Put me to the test and you will see that I will open the windows of heaven and pour out on you in abundance all kinds of good things.

The Hebrew word for windows of heaven refers to sluice gates.
The windows of heaven are like sluice gates. It means a channel which regulates flow by a valve or a gate. Those resources are held in reserve until they are released by the action of the person who opens the sluice gates.

The window of Heaven is an outflow of God’s blessing abounding in every part of your life and every circumstance of your experience.
The release of God's abundant blessings is dependent on your obedience to His instructions. Walking in obedience to God's word in giving your tithe opens up the windows of heaven to you.
God even had to say that you should do this and prove Him. There's a whole lot reserved for you but your faith in God's word as regards tithing is what will open up the reservoirs of Heaven.

The plan of the enemy is to make you think that you will not have enough when you pay your tithe and keep you in scarcity. But God is saying to you, “Test me in this, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
That is God's plan for you.

When you struggle to give your tithe, it's an indication that you have not made Jesus the Lord of your finances. Jesus didn't come to wreck your life, He came to make you who God has made you to be.
As you pay your tithe, do it with the right motive. Don't let it look like you are been forced to do it or for recognition. When you love the Lord, you will give for kingdom work.

PRAYER
The windows of heaven are opened to me, I live in continual increase and unending flow of resources as I walk in obedience to your word in Jesus name, Amen.

In this Month of the Kingdom, we were reminded during Partnership Sunday that building God's Kingdom requires more than just good intentions,it requires alignment.

When the Kingdom becomes our number one priority, it influences how we think, what we do, and how we serve. We are not building according to our own agenda; we are building according to God's purpose.

You challenge Can become you biggest
distraction
Luke 12 vs 13 -> 12
[Matt 6 vs18]

In building there are 3 things

1) Jesus is the originator
2) Jesus is building through us [1pet 2:5]
3) The gate of hell shall not prevail against it

we must build it correctly how he want,
it's not how we want it [1 Cor 3:1]

One aim, one purpose same agenda

As we continue in this Month of the Kingdom, let us choose to make God's Kingdom our priority and align ourselves with His purpose.

📍 Join us at House of Perfection Gospel Center

⏰ First Service: 7:30 AM
⏰ Second Service: 9:00 AM

TAKE THAT BOLD STEP

Genesis 12:1
And the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show you

The reason for stagnation is because many have refused to take any step. You need to understand that nothing works until you make a move. For some, there are things God has told them to do, but till now they have not made any move. Many are afraid of failing that's why they haven't made a move yet. You become a victim of what you fear the most (Job 3:25).

When God told Abraham to step out, there was no certainty where he would go, but we were told that Abraham departed, as the Lord has spoken unto him... (Genesis 4:12). For some, God has told you to do something without knowing the end result. All you need to do is to take that bold step. He won't tell you to do anything that won't profit you. Because of that bold step Abram took, we are told in Genesis 13:2 that “And Abram became was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.”

One way to get God's commitment into anything we do is to make a move. God responds to our steps of faith. Don't wait for things to look great before you make a move. Take that bold step today. The first stage is usually the hardest but as you go on, you will see how easy it is.

PRAYER
Thank you precious Father for your word today. I receive your word with faith in my heart. I take bold steps of faith only, in Jesus name, Amen.

AUGUST — THE MONTH OF THE KINGDOM

The month of August has been declared THE MONTH OF THE KINGDOM, and the Word of God came powerfully to us at our Communion Service on 2nd August 2026 through our Man of God, Pastor Nath Okpekpe.

We were reminded that:

🔹 The authority is upon His shoulder — the body which is the Church.
Acts 2:41

🔹 There is a way to receive the Word — gladly.

🔹 The house of God, which is the place of intimacy, must be built, and it is God's people that will build it.

Both the physical building and the building of the people, which is the spiritual building.
Matt. 16:18, 1 Pet. 2:1–5

🔹 Jesus is the originator and the owner of the Church.

🔹 Jesus is still building today — through us.

🔹 The gates of hell (strategies of the devil) will not prevail.

And we were challenged:

Why are some building and some are not?

Matt. 6:33, Matt. 4:4, Matt. 6:19–33, Deut. 29:29

«The secret things belong to the Lord.»

«Make seeking God your priority.
Luke 2:20–21»

As we remain in THE MONTH OF THE KINGDOM, there is still more for us to receive, understand, and put into practice.

📖 WEDNESDAY SERVICE IS HERE!

Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, 19th August 2026, 4 : 30 pm .as we gather together around God's Word.

Come ready to receive the Word gladly, grow in intimacy with God, and take your place in what He is building.

WALK IN LOVE

John 13:35 AMP
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.

Love is the nature of the new creation in Christ Jesus, we live the love life and living this life is the possibility of all the children of God.

From our opening scripture, we are admonished by our Lord Jesus that the proof and sign with which all men will recognize us as His followers is how we express love to ourselves. Also the Spirit of God through the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5 instructs us to imitate God as His dear children and walk in love. Everyone born of God can walk in God's love because His love is shared abroad in our hearts (spirits) as we see in Romans 5:5.

Your spirit is one with the Spirit of God and the possibility of walking in it is endless, it's natural for a child of God to walk in love, hatred is a pollutant of God's love in us; refuse to hate, choose to express and allow God's love to flow through you to others. Glory to God.

AFFIRMATION
I'm born of God, therefore I manifest God's love in my world. I love as God would have me do, I refuse to walk in hatred or wickedness, I'm a lover and the lover in me gains expression today and always.

HAVE AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD

Psalm 63:1-2 KJV
O God, thou art My God; early will I seek thee: My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee In a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, So as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

There's something bigger than receiving a miracle; it's called an encounter with God. An encounter produces or births a relationship with God. The Bible says that signs and wonders shall follow the believer and not the other way round.

An encounter produces a spiritual hunger for the Lord. Matthew 5:6 says, 'Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.'
An encounter births faith to do the impossible. Men of old who carried out great works for God first of all had an encounter with God.

Another proof of an encounter is love - love to God and towards man, without condition and terms. Time proves love and tells love.

An encounter brings you to a state of spending time with God. People that have true encounter with God don't ask for things, they ask for God. When you have Him, you have everything.

PRAYER
Thank you Father for your word, I take great delight in fellowshipping with you via your Word and Spirit, and I declare that my life transcends from glory to glory as I seek you the only true God in Jesus name Amen.
