REVEALING JESUS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT (SCRIPTURES) 12

THE PROPHECY OF JESUS FROM ADAM TO NOAH IN IMPORTANT NAMES:

INTRODUCTION

If you have been following our series on Revealing Jesus in the Old Testament (Scriptures), you would have come to realize that God had always been proactive, hence He had prepared Salvation, through Christ, before the Creation of Man👇

1 Peter 1:18-20 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. (NIV)

Hence, everything that happened from the days of Adam was pointing man to salvation that would eventually be in the DEATH, BURIAL, RESURRECTION AND GLORIFICATION of Christ (Read Parts 1-11).

In this part, we would look to reveal Jesus in Generational build-up starting from Adam-Noah.

THESE ARE THE GENERATIONS 👇

1. Genesis 4:25-26 (ESV)
And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.👇

2. Genesis 5:9-14 (ESV)
When Enosh had lived 90 years, he fathered Kenan. Enosh lived after he fathered Kenan 815 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died. When Kenan had lived 70 years, he fathered Mahalalel. Kenan lived after he fathered Mahalalel 840 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.👇

3. Genesis 5:15-20 (ESV)
When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he fathered Jared. Mahalalel lived after he fathered Jared 830 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died. When Jared had lived 162 years he fathered Enoch. Jared lived after he fathered Enoch 800 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.👇

4. Genesis 5:21-27 (ESV)
When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him. When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he fathered Lamech. Methuselah lived after he fathered Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.👇

5. Genesis 5:28-32 (ESV)
When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.” Lamech lived after he fathered Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died. After Noah was 500 years old, Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.👇

6. Matthew 11:28-29 (ESV)
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

WHERE IS CHRIST PROPHESIED HERE?

The line from Adam all the way to Noah was ten generations. If you write out the Hebrew meaning of each of the names from Adam to Noah it forms a prophetic statement that summarizes all of scripture!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

If we stitch the word meanings together, it forms the following sentences:

1. Man appointed mortal sorrow (The fall of man).

2. The blessed God shall come down teaching (Torah given to Moses)

3. His death shall bring the despairing rest and comfort (death of Jesus and fulfillment of Matt 11:28-29)

DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE?

This is a perfect summary of the bible and God's plan for salvation after the fall of man.

God knew that man would fall. He also prepared Christ to bring man back to Himself through His Death, Burial, Resurrection and Glorification. Hence, every activity of Man was divinely programmed to climax in the coming of Christ.

Are there people who still question if the bible is inspired by God? You would have to explain to us if the Hebrew scribes happened to invent these names thousands of years prior to Jesus!

CONCLUSION

The Truth is, all the names in the genealogy from Adam to Jesus form prophetic sentences.
The duty of a sound Teacher would be to expound these scriptures and show us that the entire Bible has only one message-CHRIST.

WHO ARE FOOLISH DISCIPLES?

INTRODUCTION:

Luke 24:25👇

"Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"

A proper understanding of word usage in The Scriptures would help a good student of the Bible understand and put such scripture in proper perspective. For instance, the Word "Fool" in the Gospels can only make proper sense if one goes back to the original Greek form to be able to understand...

FOOL EXPLAINED
The original word for fool, as used by Jesus, doesn’t mean wickedness;

"How foolish you are” doesn’t mean that Jesus called his disciples wicked people.

The Greek word ἀνόητοι (anoētoi) is another word than mωρέ (mōre), that has been used in Matthew 5:22 and 23:17 for “foolish” and is connected with wickedness. Jesus said: “And anyone who says, "You fool (mωρέ)!" will be in danger of the fire of hell” (Matthew 5:22).

However, in Luke 24:25, Jesus used a word that doesn’t call his disciples wicked people, but wanted to guide them to get more understanding about the Scriptures. In Luke 24:25 the word ἀνόητοι means “WEAKNESS or DULLNESS” in relation to correct his disciples that they didn’t see what he had himself so clearly predicted, and what had been foretold by the prophets [

HOW DULL OR WEAK WERE THE DISCIPLES?

The disciples had difficulties to learn about Jesus in the Scriptures(OLD TESTAMENT)

HOW?
“SLOW TO BELIEVE” means not fast to discover or slow to understand and a bit lazy to learn.

Today's Preachers still suffer the same "Slow To Believe And Difficult To Understand" mentality when they refuse or are ignorant (lack of diligence) in searching the Old Testament to unveil Christ.

THE DISCIPLES DOUBTED THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS AND THE PROPHECY HE TOLD THEM👇

Luke 9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

The disciples had suffered so much in the time Jesus was separated from them, that they had forgotten the Jesus’ prediction that he had to die and will rise from the dead as taught them in Luke 9:22.

Therefore Jesus didn’t use a word to downplay his disciples, but encouraged them to grow in Scripture knowledge.

DISCIPLES ARE TRAINED TO GROW AND NOT STAGNANT

Luke 24 is a simple analogy of lack of growth in Knowledge of the scripture...It leads to 'Foolishness' and poor understanding.

Two of Jesus’s followers were walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus on the resurrection morning. While they were on the road talking over all that had happened that day, Jesus showed up and started walking with them—but they did not know it was him.

JESUS LISTENS WHEN WE EXPLAIN THE SCRIPTURES

Jesus was listening to them and asked them what they were talking about. And in despair they started explaining what they thought of Jesus 👇

Luke 24:21

“We had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel”

"WE HAD HOPED?"

But now that hope is dead—or so they thought.

ARE YOU FOLLOWING?

Many Disciples still teach based on this understanding. They still ask you to undergo deliverance even after receiving Salvation. They still pour Oil on your head as a mark of the Holy Spirit...They still do Altar VS Altar etc.

ARE YOU PRACTICING OR ARE A VICTIM OF SUCH? JESUS CALLS YOU A FOOL👇

Luke 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

Jesus responds to their heartache by calling them stupid:

“Foolish and slow of heart.” It means such a Disciple is NOT as pastorally sensitive as Christ might expect.

SO WHY WERE THEY CALLED FOOLS?

Their stupidity was not rooted in a lack of intelligence. It was rooted in their inability to see how their lives fit with the story of the Bible. They did not understand that it was necessary for the Messiah, JESUS, to suffer and then rise from the dead. They failed to see the direction the story was headed, so they could not understand how they ended up where they did.

The bottom line is that they misunderstand their place in the story because they did not have a good biblical theology.

WAO! It is a Pastor's inability to fit the pieces of a believer's life in the redemption story that prompts them to engage in extra-biblical engagements.
You hear stuffs like 'Yes, you are Saved when you believe in Jesus but...."

That "but" is about to introduce Man's wisdom into it. This is Foolishness at work.

ARE WE LEARNING AT ALL?

Jesus then exposes their foolishness when he met majority of the Disciples 👇

Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

In the scripture above ☝️, Jesus explained the key message of the entire Old Testament Viz

1. The Messiah must suffer and die;(DEATH AND BURIAL)

2. The Messiah must rise again on the third day;(RESURRECTION)

3. The good news of forgiveness in his name must be proclaimed to the nations(SALVATION).👇

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

WHO THEN IS A FOOLISH PASTOR?

A foolish Pastor is that who uses the Scriptures to Teach anything outside The Dead, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus and the proclamation of Salvation through this process...👇

Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Whoever doesn't Teach the basic fundamentals (Death, Burial, Resurrection= Salvation) but adds that you must undergo deliverance, water Baptism, Altar VS Altar, 3, 7, 14, 21, 30, 40 etc days of Fasting and Prayers for you to be accepted by God is a FOOL, according to Jesus...Not because such is Wicked but because he is not diligent to study and is slow to understand the reason for the SCRIPTURES...

The Blind(FOOLISH PASTOR) should not lead the blind(SINNER or DISCIPLES).

A PASTOR MUST FIRST BE WELL TAUGHT 👇

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Genesis to Malachi carry the same message (Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus. So Jesus went back to these scriptures and Expounded (excavated) them. The word "Expounded" means to "Excavate" or "Dig Out" something.

This means that a Pastor must not Teach The Old Testament on Face value but must excavate or dig out Deep meanings of The Types, Symbols, Shadows, Images Figures and Feasts and explain Salvation through them as fulfilled in Christ..

CHRIST FULFILLED EVERYTHING WRITTEN IN THE SCRIPTURES👇

Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Wao! So Genesis to Malachi had nothing to do with Fruits (Apple eaten by Adam) Abraham's Wealth (But Faith in the Gospel) Success through Dreams of Joseph(But Jesus leaving His father to come to Egypt (The World to redeem Sinners)....(Read Revealing Jesus Christ In The Old Testament Scriptures)

CONCLUSION:

The reason we have different doctrines and dogmas in Christianity is because of poor understanding of the Bible. Today, you hear Ministers share areas of Grace (Marriage, Success, Deliverance, Prosperity etc) and major in them hence use the scriptures to amplify these areas of "Calling".

This is the evidence of FOOLISH DISCIPLES. Remember, a Disciple is an apprentice. He must subject himself to proper Teaching before growing into Ministry.

Ministers (Apostles, Evangelists, Prophets Pastors/Teachers) are called to proclaim Salvation. This is done by acknowledging that 👇

2Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right(NLT).

With the above passage☝️we can see that Jesus is the Truth (hence the only Doctrine of the Scripture). When we use the Bible to Teach other subjects, it might lead to error hence we must search diligently for correction when we are wrong and reverse the errors, no matter how fruitful the error has been.

THIS IS WHAT A WISE DISCIPLE DOES

A wise Disciple, therefore recognizes that Jesus suffered and died once. Was buried and
He rose again once. according to the scriptures (Old Testament)👇

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The above is the summary of what a Wise Disciple does. This is what Paul received and also delivered.
It is the proclamation of his name that must continue until this very day. We are still in this story. Because the story of the Bible is not over, we should shape our lives around this story. And we should not be surprised when this story shapes us.

THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE

INTRODUCTION:

There are three fundamental needs of man. These needs can be summarized Viz:

Direction

Reality

Long-lasting Life

So, we can say, Man, is basically searching for three things: Leadership (the way), something that is real (the truth), and something that will last forever (life). These would be the totality of what would satisfy Man.

However, it is the search for these 3 that has made Man acquire certificates, Develop Technology, Seek God through Religion, accumulate wealth and desire to live forever.

Jesus summed these up in a verse of the scripture 👇

John 14:6 – “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.”

All of man’s questions of life are answered in this verse.

Have you ever pondered on this verse? Let's Rightly Divide it.

THE WAY(DIRECTION)

Every traveler, by Road would be led by the Driver, by Air, by the pilot, in order to arrive at his destination, right? Such professional Drivers and Pilots hold sway on the best direction to take us through to our different destinations. These are physical directions. Also, these professionals, in the course of their duty lines, also know several ways to maneuver their vehicles, to beat traffic or Aircrafts to avoid turbulence but would eventually reach the same destinations.

These experiences have also crept into the SPIRITUAL DIRECTION.

The world tells us that there are many ways, or roads, to reach God: Go to church, be a good person, be morally right, join any kind of religions, etc.

They say there are lots of directions to reach heaven. Whatever feels best to you, do whatever is right in your own eyes.

But are they right? Let's see what the Bible says 👇

Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”

So, while The World offers plenty options to reach God, The Bible, which is used by most of these religious bodies says something different.👇

(Matthew 7:13)
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.”

ARE YOU THERE?

Jesus did not tell his disciples about the way or show them the way or guide them along the way, but he said,👇

“I am the way.”

HOW CAN WE KNOW THE WAY TO GOD?

It’s only through Jesus. He is the way because he is both God and man.

ITS EVEN WORSE AMONG CHRISTIANS:

I would wish to narrow it down to Christianity for proper understanding since Christianity recognizes Jesus as the way(Do they?)

Do you know even Christianity, as practiced today, recognizes more than one way to God?

HOW?👇

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

When Christianity tries to balance The Law and Grace, they eventually end up with another Gospel, Another Jesus and a strange Spirit👇

2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

The Law was Moses trying to explain Christ (God) through the understanding of Angels. However, that was done through dos and donts. But Jesus (whom they tried to explain) came and explained Himself hence fulfilled it(Done ✅).👇

Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

So, you see, keeping the Law of Moses is not one of the ways to God. It cannot make one perfect. Jesus is The Only Way...And as the only way, He retired the Law and The Ministry Of Moses👇

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

JESUS SAID IT BEFORE HIS DEATH 👇
John 10:9
I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture

Peter confirms it👇

Acts 4:12
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved

Paul Taught Same 👇

Romans 3:20
For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

It Is Faith In Christ 👇

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

WHAT ABOUT THE PROPHETS?

All The Old Testament Prophets had a single message. That message was coming of Christ as The Way...These messages of Jesus wers buried in their words, actions and the various rituals they carried out...

If you do not understand Jesus as the only way, fulfilled prophecies would continue to be carried out ignorantly through the instrumentality of ignorant Prophets

For Instance 👇

Hosea 1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.

What does the scripture above☝️ mean to you? Let's see it from Jesus as the only way...

Hosea was a prophet God was using to communicate Jesus as the only way of salvation. How?

Christ is the Bridegroom(Husband) of His Bride (Church)

Take a closer look:

Hosea is portrayed as a Type of Christ while Gomer is the world that Jesus(Hosea) will lay down His life for, to turn her (Gomer) into His Church.👇

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Anyone who uses that scripture or other Prophetic acts of the Old Testament Scriptures (which were pointing to Christ) as a Prophetic practice in The New Testament Church, is introducing us to another WAY to God...

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY...

Jesus is the only way and that way is narrow (Single way).👇

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The word "NARROW" means SINGLE...THE ONLY(No alternative).
The only way is to get saved, get right with God, and to be “born again.”

It is a terrible error for Christians to Teach that whatever you can do to please God, as long as long as it is in the Bible, do it.

“Thank God He made a way for us to get to Him!” God is always there, whispering into our souls and speaking to our hearts. He is there when we are angry, confused, scared, running from him and too busy for him. He shows us the way, if we choose to look for it.

WHAT ABOUT GETTING SAVED AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH.👇

salvation is once and automatic

But spiritual growth is for life time and consistently, deliberately and consciously!

MORALITY IS NOT SPIRITUALITY,but Spirituality produces healthy morality, it's called fruits of the spirit.

Teaching good morals is not the gospel.

Gospel is life and not just moral instructions.

If one follows good morals without believing the gospel, that person is not saved up to now.

If one does not have good morals but Believes the gospel,that person is saved right now.

What he needs is mind renewal to live a good moral life.

That is the grace of God for us.

BORN AGAIN IS NOT A CHANGE OF CHURCH.

BORN AGAIN IS NOT A CHANCE OF PACKAGING.

BORN AGAIN IS NOT EVEN A CHANGE OF BEHAVIOR.

BORN AGAIN IS A CHANGE OF NATURE,AND BY THE VIRTUE OF THIS CHANGE OF NATURE... change in character and behavior begins to take place via spiritual GROWTH.

Haven't you seen people with good fruits,yet they are agents of darkness?

I'm not against good attitude or character,
I'm a strong proponent of good behaviour,we don't live anyhow,we are discplined.

I'm only trying to differentiate good works from salvation,that's to say, doing good doesn't mean one is saved, but by virtue of Spiritual growth we grows to do good without apology.

Good doing is our nature!
Decent dressing is our life style.

Proper behavior is in our Spiritual Gin.

In salvation God took care of our sin nature.

In spiritual growth,sin conducts and discipline is handled by the believer.

Meanwhile it is always God at work in us both to will and to Do of his good pleasure..

RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH

CHRISTIANITY IS FASHIONED AFTER CHRIST 4B

WHAT ABOUT THE FIRE ELIJAH CALLED TO KILL 150 SOLDIERS?

We have already dealt with The Fire that came at Mount Carmel.
It came after Sacrifice and it foreshadowed The Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus through the Agency called the Holy Spirit. Elijah also prayed that God would turn the hearts of the people back to Him (Repentance). This would mean what will happen when Jesus died and RESURRECTED.

Instantly those who believed were saved and those who rejected (Prophets of Baal were killed) signifying what will happen to those who reject the salvation given by Jesus' sacrifice.(1st Kings 18:36-40, John 3:16-18). Remember Jesus came to fulfill what was said, acted and Prophesied by the Old Testament Scriptures. 👇

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Scriptures (Old Testament) testify of Jesus.

FOLLOW ME

2 Kings 1:9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down. 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

Ahaziah the King of Samaria had erred by sending his messengers to go to Ekron for patronage of Baalzeebub. That was sin.

However, remember Samaria was a Jewish Nation (God's people). However, the people reported to the King that they met Elijah on the way. The King immediately sent His Captains to meet him.

LET'S NOTE

1. The King sent people to Ekron because there was no one to Preach (Elijah wasn't available).

2. Upon hearing of the availability of Elijah, he sent his captains to invite him. This, in itself, is a sign of repentance. He recognized Elijah.

3. The Captains recognized Elijah as a Man of God hence never threatened to arrest nor Kill him.

LET'S LOOK AT THE SCENERIO IN GOD'S LENSES

What was God's mind concerning people who turned away from Him? 👇

Ezekiel 18:26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. 18:27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

The above has always been the standard of God from creation.

Let's Analyse Together:

Did The King of Samaria turn away from his righteousness? Yes. Did he deserve to die? Yes.

Did he repent? Yes..How? The moment he heard of Elijah, he changed from going to Ekron to sending for Elijah.

However, change of mind doesn't guarantee salvation until someone is preached to. Let's confirm.👇

Ezekiel 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

Elijah was The Watchman of Samaria and the King recognized same. So what do Watchmen do?👇

Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

Elijah was invited to the palace by the King. He had the chance, as the Watchman, to go and redirect the mind of the people to God.

LET'S CONTINUE 👇

Ezekiel 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. 33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 33:9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

God has always been interested in saving the wicked and Man is the agency God uses to Preach it.👇

Ezekiel 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

The King was sentenced to death in his sin by the one God intended to use to save him.

The Epistles confirms this.👇

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

IS IT MAKING SENSE?

At Mount Carmel, Elijah was a watchman. He Preached Salvation in the sacrifice. People turned away from their wicked ways...The Fire that came down there saved all who believed. Mount Carmel was a Type of calvary...

But Elijah was human right? 👇

2 Kings 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

TWO FIRES DIFFERENT SOURCES 👇

The Fire in Mount Carmel (1st Kings 18:37-39) came down to Save those who believed. and also condemnation became the consequence for those who rejected (Prophets of Baal). This Fire came after Sacrifice and Prayer of salvation by Elijah.

But The Fire in 2nd Kings 1:10- came by impulse and emotional judgement.👇

"...If I be a Man of God let Fire come down from Heaven..."

The Captains were mere messengers on errand. They already recognized Elijah as a Man of God...

However, there was no Sacrifice. There was no consultation with God (Prayer of salvation) for the King and his captains but outright judgement...150 souls plus the King killed by Satan through a Man of God.

HOW IS THAT?

God has always been identified with a single character, LOVE. In this love is Life, eternal life (Salvation).

SO WHO SENT THE FIRE?👇

John 10:10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Have you seen it?

The Two Fires Came From Two Different Sources; God and Satan. All of them came to fulfill the two purposes

SATAN'S PURPOSE👇

John 10:10A "...To Steal And Steal And Destroy."

The Fire sent to Kill The 150 succeeded in fulfilling these purpose.

GOD'S PURPOSE👇

John 10:10B "...My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life."

Jesus came to explain Himself and also expose the one who had been hiding in the name of God to Steal, Kill and destroy people in the Old Testament.

Even today's Pastors have made themselves tools in the hands of Satan when they pray the same Prayer of Elijah.

John 8:44
For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

☝️Jesus was unequivocal about it and in very plain language on who we are when we PRAY FOR PEOPLE TO DIE..

What About The Epistles?

We already know that Paul is the Apostle of the Gentiles and gave us the Revelation of the mysteries contained in the Old Testament. This is what he said about it.👇

8. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
9. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
