Destiny helpers in Christianity refers to individuals whom God places in one's life to aid in fulfilling one's God-given purpose or destiny. These helpers can offer guidance, support, resources, encouragement, and intervention at critical moments. The Bible provides several examples of such individuals who played pivotal roles in the lives of others, demonstrating the importance and impact of destiny helpers. Jonathan and David, Moses and Jethro, Naomi and Ruth etc,

Today, let us pray that our destiny helpers would locate us. This is because destiny helpers are instrumental in the fulfillment of God's plan for an individual's life. God often uses these relationships to accomplish His purposes, as seen in the lives of Esther and Mordecai, where their collaboration led to the salvation of the Jewish people.

The concept of destiny helpers underscores the communal and interconnected nature of the Christian journey. God often uses people to accomplish His plans and purposes in the lives of believers. Thus, cultivating and valuing relationships with destiny helpers is vital for personal growth and the fulfillment of God's destiny for one's life.

Today, pray that your destiny helper will locate you and you will fulfill your destiny.

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
One-man army has a short time to exist. Lack of war helpers prolongs battles. In the long run, that individual will eventually crumble. A one-man army has a short time to exist. Saul's Dynasty collapsed because of a shortage of war helpers. War helpers are not liabilities but assets. They bring value to our lives. Verses 2 and 8 ofour scriptures mentioned three values that war helpers bring:

1. *Skilled:* War helpers are often men of experience and capacity.
2. *Face of a Lion:* They are men who do not fear the risk involved in fighting to help others.
3. *Swift Footed:* They are swift and steadfast in their decision. They are not indecisive.

These characteristics made David and his men remain triumphant over their enemies. David had war helpers. These were men who were once with Saul but left him and stayed with David.

Saul failed not only because he disobeyed God, but at a time in his life there were no men to fight for him because:
πŸ‘‰πŸ½ *He was Insecure:* Insecure people see their war helpers as threats and rivals. Saul saw David that way.
πŸ‘‰πŸ½ *He was not accommodating:* Saul lacked the skill to commodate dissenting voices and diverse opinions; hence, they defected to David, where they found solace (1 Sam.23:1).

Do you have men who will roll up their sleeves and bow their knees to God until they see you manifest God's purpose for your life?

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
Look at the key verse again. It says, "When you pass through ..., not If you ..." God is saying that we will pass through the waters and fires. Ours may be figurative. The Israelites physically passed through the waters of a sea not a pond or a shallow stream. Pharaoh had recovered quickly from the last plague and with the last crack armies of
Egypt, came after the fleeing saints like a flood. Closer and closer they came and more fearful the Israelites became. Then God changed the battle plan. They saw the divine battle reordering. They knew that something was about to happen. And something did happen.

There were other instances where he reordered the formation of the battle, dictating who would be in front and who was at the rear, who would strike first and, in some cases, whether it was an instrument of war or of praise that would rout the enemies.

In our case, He does not always let us see the enemy or witness His reordering of the battle plan. We should be assured that whenever trouble brews and danger approaches, God is also feverishly at work. As the Israelites passed through the waters without being swallowed, so shall we pass through all our trials without being swallowed. We shall meet on the other side of the 'Red Sea'!

When one is faced with difficult problems it looks as if God is far away and does not answer prayers anymore especially, when one has prayed and prayed. You hear a voice telling you relax it is done and yet you have not seen the physical fulfilment of such promises Naturally, you are faced with doubts and questions if the voice you heard was the voice of God or not.

The case of Jeremiah is one of such situations described above. Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of his captors under the eagle eye of a guard, the reassuring Word of God came to him a second time emphasizing that His promises never fail, and He will do that which He has promised. Jeremiah believed these words and it kept him strong in faith.

The truth remains that no matter what you are going through in life. It may be excruciating, frustrating, humiliating, choking to death; it may be failure, poverty, hardship of the highest order etc. Please do not kill yourself. Wait, exercise faith in God like Jeremiah. Do not give up. Just call on Him, He wil surely show you His mighty deliverance. In the midst of that challenge, He may not deliver you immediately until certain things are revealed to you. So that when you are delivered you will be well equipped to face your freedom.

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
Every child of God is expected to be a promise keeper, just like our Heavenly Father. In fact, our Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples that their yes should be yes, and no should be no. Keeping of promises is a mark of a true child of God. So many believers today do not care about keeping their promises. The issues of broken marriages, wayward children, business failure and crisis-ridden society can be traced to lack of integrity or failure to keep promises.

Being a promise keeper means that your words are your bond. You are as good as your words. It forms the basis upon which one can be considered to be trustworthy, dependable, responsible, reliable, and credible. The scope of the task of being a promise keeper begins with keeping the promises we made to God, ourselves, our spouses, friends, employers/employees, business associates, clients/customers, neighbours, relatives, church, electorates, communities and others.

Men must keep promises. Women must be promise keepers. Youth and children must be promise-keepers. Leaders must be promise keepers. God has always kept His promises. We must show that we belong to God by keeping our promises. But as humans, should there be any cogent reason why promises cannot be kept, the believers should be able to inform the promisee (a person that a promise was made to) why he or she could not fulfill the promise he made.

1 CHRONICLES 3–5

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
If you have the opportunity to visit Israel, there are numerous amazing archaeological sites you can see. One of the most revealing is Tel Megiddo. This ancient city predates Israel's arrival in the land of Canaan, and is located near where the Battle of Armageddon will one day take place. A series of excavations has revealed not less than twenty-six distinct cities built on the site, each one on top of the ruins of the preceding city. It is a stark illustration of the transient nature of things here on Earth. Nothing truly last forever in this world.

Yet as Christians, we have the hope of a "continuing city." We
are promised a permanent, abiding, unending dwelling in Heaven in a place where there is no sin, no sickness, no night and no tears. Not only is Heaven perfect now, it always will be:
*"And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life" (Revelation 21:27).*

The human mind with its finite understanding cannot grasp the full wonders of Heaven, but we do know that it will not only be perfect, but enduring. This life may be filled with things that do not last, but eternity with God, rejoicing in His presence, and praising and glorifying Him with perfect love will never end. The great glory of Heaven is that it will truly last forever.

Jesus fed over a thousand men at a time. At another time,
He fed more than four thousand people. He healed many in Israel. He preached to the multitudes. But when it came to the Passover, He celebrated it only with His disciples. He did not even consider going home to His biological family to celebrate what was dictated by the Law of Moses as family obligation.

This feast of Passover, popularly known as the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion, is not for everyone. It is for those who are God's covenant people. It is for those whose hearts have been circumcised by the Holy Spirit, with the fo****in of sin cut off, and the new man grafted in their hearts. It is for those who appreciate the enormity of Christ's sacrifice for them. They know the Lord and the Lord knows them. They are a family, just as Jesus said (Mat. 12:48-50). They will not eat the Holy Communion carelessly or unworthily (1 Cor. 11:28-9). Anyone who desires to partake in the Passover must be part of God's covenant plan, so it is that anyone who partakes in communion must first be born again and acknowledge it as
a holy ordinance.

Today, we are encouraged to be in God's presence continuously. This will prevent the devil from attacking us, and it will also help us to receive direction from God. However, believers should bear in mind the implications of not dwelling in God's presence. Not dwelling in God's presence can lead to:
1. *Spiritual Death and Separation from God:* The ultimate consequence of not dwelling in God's presence is spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. (Romans 6:23).
2. *Loss of Guidance and Wisdom:* Without God's presence, individuals lack divine guidance and wisdom, leading to poor decisions and a misguided life. (Proverbs 3:5-6).
3. *Moral Degradation and Sinful Behavior:* Moral Degradation. Absence from God's presence often results in moral degradation and a lifestyle dominated by sinful behaviour. (Galatians 5: 19-21).
4. *Absence of Peace and Joy:* Dwelling outside of God's presence can lead to an absence of inner peace and true joy. (Isaiah 48:22).
5. *Vulnerability to Evil Forces:* Susceptibility to Evil. Without the protection of God's presence, individuals are more susceptible to the influence of evil forces. (Ephesians 6:12).
6. *Eternal Punishment:* Ultimately, the Bible warns of eternal damnation for those who remain separated from God. (Matthew 25:41).

The presence of God is a multi faceted concept encompassing His omnipresence, manifest presence, indwelling presence, and relational presence. These aspects highlight that God is always with us, actively involved in our lives, and desires a deep, personal relationship with each believer.

The Bible provides numerous verses and examples that emphasize the importance and benefits of dwelling in God's presence, illustrating how essential it is for a vibrant and faithful Christian life. Being in God's presence is essential for spiritual growth and transformation. Christians are called to fulfill God's purposes, which can only be achieved by staying in His presence. Remaining in God's presence ensures that believers receive divine guidance and wisdom for their lives. God provides direction and clarity to those who seek Him continually. (Proverbs 3:5-6).

God's presence provides strength and protection. Believers find refuge and fortitude to face life's challenges when they dwell in His presence. (Psalm 91:1-2). Being in God's presence fosters an intimate relationship with Him. It is through constant communion with God that believers grow in their love and understanding of Him. (John 15:4-5).

God's presence empowers believers to carry out His will and
mission effectively. (Ephesians 2: 10). God's presence brings peace and comfort, which are essential for enduring trials and challenges in life. It reassures believers of God's control and care. (Philippians 4:6-7).

There is a tendency to look for God in the revivals of old, the miracles we heard about from men of God. And there's a tendency to expect Him only in the future when things get better. The truth is that God is moving right now. The move of God is not stuck in history, and it is not reserved for some perfect tomorrow. It is happening in the present tense, and the question is not whether He is moving, the question is, can we perceive it? The danger is not that God won't move, but that we'll miss it because we're distracted consumed with busyness, fear, offence, or waiting for something that has already started.

God is healing hearts today. He is stirring up boldness in the quiet ones. He is awakening worship, stirring revival, reconciling families, and calling prodigal sons back to Himself. His movement rarely announces itself with fireworks. It often shows up in quiet obedience, in whispered prayers, in small acts of faith that ripple through eternity. The move of God is not just coming, it's happening now.

What should our response be? Wake up our awareness. Ask God to open our eyes to what He is doing around us. Lay down our expectations. Join the movement and not wait for a better day or a louder sign. Sometimes his move looks different from what we pictured. Be part of this move.

Some people think of the Old Testament (especially the five Books of the Law, called the Torah) as archaic and inapplicable to Christians today. That is not true. It is only the rituals/ceremonies that are outdated since they were mere types fulfilled in the New Testament through Jesus Christ. Much of the Books in the Old Testament actually lay the foundation of righteousness as declared in the New Testament. God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament.

For instance, verses 9-10 of our text tells us to be intentionally merciful to the poor and make provisions for them out of our resources. Do not steal, lie or cheat one another (11-13). Do not oppress those who are weak; do not abuse the disabled (13-14). Do not pervert justice or show partiality in judgement (15), do not spread false rumour and do not endanger people's lives (15-16). Do not hate your brother in your heart and do not seek revenge (17-18).

These are covered in the New Testament and are always binding. These accord with the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5. This is the light that we shine before men that will make them glorify our Father in heaven (Matt. 5: 16). The Jews were supposed to observe these and thus teach the nations the righteousness of God, but they abandoned them and clung to ceremonial rules. This brought God's anger on them. When we ignore the fruit of the Spirit and
the rules of righteous living, God will be angry with us despite our Christian ceremonies.

Obedience is often linked with spiritual growth and maturity. Biblical obedience is essential for living a life that honours God and brings about positive outcomes for individuals and society. For instance, Abraham's obedience brought blessings and ensured a prosperous lineage. Solomon's obedience resulted in God's promise to establish his kingdom and answer his prayers for wisdom and discernment.

Today, believers need to know that there are many benefits involved in obeying God. Through obedience to God's word, individuals develop a deeper understanding of His will and purpose for their lives, leading to personal transformation and
