CHOOSE THE ONE WHO WALKS WITH GOD

Do not choose by beauty, money, or charm,
Nor simply by feelings that make your heart warm.
For feelings can change and attraction can fade,
But character remains when the excitement has stayed.

Whether man or woman, this truth remains:
Choose someone whose life honours God's name.
Not someone perfect, without fault or sin,
But someone who lets God's Word shape them within.

For a man, seek more than a beautiful face;
Look for a woman who walks in God's grace.
For a woman, seek more than a strong and fine man;
Look for a man who follows God's plan.

Look at their character when nobody sees,
How they handle temptation, conflict, and ease.
Do they speak with respect? Do they humble their pride?
Do they seek God's wisdom when decisions collide?

Choose someone who prays when trouble draws near,
Who trusts God in failure, uncertainty, and fear.
Someone who will challenge you when you are wrong,
And encourage your faith when your journey feels long.

Do not ignore the question of faith compatibility;
For love without shared values can become instability.
You may love someone deeply, but still disagree
On the God, the values, and the life you both see.

A Godly partner will not pull you away
From Christ, from prayer, or the truth every day.
They will help you grow, not destroy your vision,
And make your relationship stronger in its Christian mission.

So men, do not merely ask, “Is she beautiful?”
Ask, “Does she love God, and is her character truthful?”
And women, do not merely ask, “Is he successful or strong?”
Ask, “Does he fear God and know right from wrong?”

And before asking God, “Lord, where is my spouse?”
Ask another question inside your house:
“Lord, am I becoming the person
I am asking You to give me?”

Because a Godly marriage is not built by finding
A perfect man or woman worth admiring.
It is built when two imperfect people, day by day,
Choose Christ, choose love, and choose God's way.
