*TEXT: PHILIPPIANS 2:3-4*

3. _Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,_
4. _not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others._

*TOPIC: HANDLING RELATIONSHIPS*

Jesus emptied Himself of His glory identify with humanity's weakness. Paul urges believers to adopt the humble mindset of Christ in their interactions with others. A genuine relationship should not be driven by selfish ambition or pride but by humility and genuine concern for others. Valuing others above self fosters unity and strengthens bonds within God's family. Sadly, several believers associate with class, members of their profession, and what others have, using that to look down on others. Have you made a good impression on yourself and strained relationships in God's family? Remember, we are all products of grace, no matter who you are or what you have. When you recognise your uniqueness and the worth of others, you avoid pride and treat people with dignity and respect.

*REFLECTION:* _Treat people as God's creation._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to treat others as I would be treated. Amen._

_*PROVERBS 3:5–6*_

5. _Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding_
6. _In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight._

_PROVERBS 24:3–4_

3. _By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established_ .
4. _Through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures._

*TOPIC: RIGHTLY CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER*

The decision we make today can make or mar us. Today's texts caution us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and to acknowledge Him in all our ways, rather than relying on our understanding. They remind us that a house is built by wisdom and established through understanding. This serves as a compass in decision-making, especially when choosing a life partner.
Choosing a life partner is a significant decision that should be guided by God's wisdom rather than personal feelings, physical appearances, or family and cultural influences. Couples to be must involve God by seeking His will and be willing to obey His directives. Seeking counsel from spiritual leaders is a sign of wisdom, not a sign of weakness. Do not rush into marriage and end up in a separation. Patiently and prayerfully wait on God's timing to author your love story.

*REFLECTION* : Only God knows the future; follow His leading.

*PRAYER* : Lord, help me to learn to trust in you. Amen.

*TEXTS: MATTHEW 24:14; MARK 13:10*

*_MATTHEW 24:14_*

14. _And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come._

_*MARK 13:10*_

10. _And the gospel must first be preached to all nations._

*TOPIC: PRIORITISE MISSION*

Jesus made it clear that the gospel of the kingdom must be proclaimed to all nations before His return. The ultimate goal of missions is to establish the Lordship of Christ across the earth, not through force, but through the willing submission of hearts to His saving grace. Only through faith in Christ and His redemptive work can humanity be delivered from the bo***ge of sin, self, and Satan to serve God truly. As recipients of God's mercy and grace, we cannot remain silent about it. The good news is too powerful to be kept to ourselves. Like the young Karl Kumm of blessed memory, mission must be our priority. Be actively engaged through proclamation, prayers, and giving. Take the gospel to the dark corners of your world - home, neighbourhood, school, and workplace.

*REFLECTION:* _This gospel of the kingdom must be preached._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, revive my passion for lost souls. Amen._

*TEXTS: ROMANS 12:2; 2 CORINTHIANS 10:5*

*_ROMANS 12:2_*

2. _Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will._

_*CORINTHIANS 10:5*_

5. _We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ._

*TOPIC: HANDLING YOUR THOUGHTS*

Each day, our minds are flood with streams of thoughts - some uplifting, others discouraging. If we are not vigilant, negative thoughts can take hold, dragging us into a state of despair that God never intended for us to experience. The first text urges us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, while the second reminds us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. This means we must not allow any thought that contradicts God's word to go unchecked. The moment you recognise a harmful or untrue thought creeping in, stand firm in your identity in Christ. Reject it, confront it, and replace it with the truth of the Scripture. The more you study scriptures, the easier it will be for you to recognise lies and false teachings. This will prompt you to turn away from them and walk in the truth.

*REFLECTION:* _Let the scriptures guide your thoughts._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to think rightly. Amen._

*TEXT: JUDGES 11:1-2, 11*

1. _Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty warrior. His father was Gilead; his mother was a pr******te._
2. _Gilead’s wife also bore him sons, and when they were grown up, they drove Jephthah away. “You are not going to get any inheritance in our family,” they said, “because you are the son of another woman.”_

11. _So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and commander over them. And he repeated all his words before the Lord in Mizpah._

*TOPIC: YOUR BACKGROUND DOES NOT MATTER*

Jephthah was the son of Gilead, born out of wedlock. Because of his background, his half-brothers denied him a share in their Father's inheritance. He was rejected, not for any wrongdoing of his own, but because of circumstances beyond his control. Yet, despite this painful beginning, God chose to use Jephthah as mighty leader and deliverer for His people. If you are facing rejection, mistreatment, or feeling sidelined because of your past or family background, do not lose heart, blame others or think of su***de. Instead of sinking into despair or entertaining thoughts of giving up, turn to God. Your background does not disqualify you from being used by God. He is able to bring beauty out of your ashes to fulfil His purpose in your life. Your testimony will be that of grace if God writes it.

*REFLECTION:* _He makes beauty out of ashes._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me know that my background does not matter. Amen._

*TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:13-14*

13. _until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ._
14. _Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming._

*TOPIC: PURSUIT OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH*

The Holy Spirit bestows special gifts on believers to equip and edify them for spiritual maturity. The goal is for believers to attain the "unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God", growing into the fullness of Christ (v. 13). Paul contrasts this maturity with spiritual immaturity (v. 14). Warning against being misled by false teachings and deception doctrines. Instead, believers are to speak the truth in love, growing up in every way into Christ, who is the Head of the body. Many, especially the young, are misled by human philosophies. For example, relativism - which teaches that there is no absolute truth, what is true for you may not be true for me. Are you growing in the faith? Maintain a consistent life of prayer, Bible study, and Christian fellowship to grow in maturity.

*REFLECTION:* _Desire spiritual nourishment._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to crave spiritual growth. Amen._

*TEXT: GENESIS 22:2, 16-18*

2. _Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”_

16. _and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,_
17. _I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,_
18. _and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”_

*TOPIC: REQUIRES OBEDIENCE*

In Christianity, being obedient means listening attentively to divine instruction and responding positively out of reverence for our Creator. When anything else occupies your heart, obeying God becomes difficult. Faithful obedience, as seen in Abraham's prompt response to God's command, requires trust and surrender, not rationalisation. Abraham obeyed God and was willing to sacrifice his only Son, the promised child. Like Jesus, our ultimate example, we must obey even when it is complex and costly. You must give up something of worth. Are you obeying God's instructions, or hesitating? Can you let go of a relationship that you hold so dearly to safeguard your faith? If you struggle, ask God for a heart that responds promptly and faithfully.

*REFLECTION:* _Obedience comes with blessings._

*PRAYER:* _Father, give me the grace to obey you promptly. Amen._

*TEXT: EPHESIANS 1:11-14*

11. _In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,_
12. _in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory._
13. _And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,_
14. _who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory._

*TOPIC: BORN TO FULFILL MANDATE*

Every person is fearfully and wonderfully created by God (Ps. 139:13-14). Today's text emphasises that God has chosen believers according to His divine purpose and sovereign will. Our lives are not accidental; we have been predestined to fulfil God's plan. Our regeneration is a mandate to bring praise to God by sharing the gospel with others. This reflects God's grace and purpose, as well as the role of the Holy Spirit in the salvation of believers. Upon hearing and believing the gospel, believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit, a mark of ownership in Christ that signifies their belonging to God and their security. Are you born again? If yes, then portray the glory of God to people around you.

*REFLECTION:* _You have mandate to fulfil._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to fulfil my mandate. Amen._
