MONDAY, AUGUST 17 || THANKFUL

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) «In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.»

Today, as you read this, you may not be satisfied with where you are in life right now. That multi-million-dollar company you thought you’d have by now, that mansion you thought you’d have built, all still lingering in your imagination. However, you probably will admit that things are not as bad as they could be! Truth be told, there is so much to be thankful for!

You managed to wake up and get to church today; some didn’t wake up at all. You might not have millions yet, but thank God you have a job. You might not have your child yet, but thank God you have your spouse. You see there’s so much to be thankful for if you just look!

Today, when anyone asks you how you’re doing, simply say, “THANKFUL!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, when I consider what You have brought me through, and the place of peace and rest You’ve brought me into, I can only say THANK YOU!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I declare that I shall never neglect to be thankful to The Lord. I move from bo***ge to liberty in every area of my life because my gratitude to the Lord shall give me altitude!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 16 || TRASH THE DOG DUNG!

Philippians 3:8 (MSG) «…Everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ»

Ever met people who can’t get rid of old things? Rusted, mouse-infested cars rot in the yard, while inside the house is choked with clutter—piles of broken electronics, outdated machines stacked against the walls coated in dust, and suitcases bursting with musty, bug-ridden clothes. Pretty disturbing picture, right?

Some people’s spiritual lives are exactly like that. Rather than deal with issues and keep their lives clean and clear, the spiritual rubbish just keeps building up. Piles of unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy and other forms of spiritual garbage—all one big mess! What are you holding onto today? It’s all dog dung! Dump it in the trash, clean up, and move on!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, by the leading of Your Holy Spirit, help me realise when I’m harbouring things that set me back. I shall never hold onto any negativity in Jesus’ Name!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Today, I start the cleanup process to get rid of every mess I’ve held onto. I shall function freely and clearly as God uses me in this Year of Dominion!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 15 || WHAT HE STARTED, HE WILL COMPLETE

Philippians 1:6 (KJV) «Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.»

Pay attention to the word “confident” in today’s verse. The original Greek word is peíthō, which means to be sure, to be certain, and to have absolute conviction. When Apostle Paul penned this letter, he was talking about a God he knew. He had seen Him bring him out of all kinds of challenges.

This year was given to us by God as the Year of Strange Oil. How confident are you that what He started beginning this year He will complete? If you’re willing, the Holy Spirit can accomplish anything in you. The requirement is to have so much faith in Him that you are absolutely certain and confident you will testify of the manifestation of every good work He began in you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, in this Year of Strange Oil, I am absolutely convinced that You have performed a perfect work in me until the day of Jesus Christ, and I am grateful!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I speak a removal of every deceiving spirit that stands in the way of my trust in the Lord. Every blessing bestowed on me shall be fulfilled perfectly in Jesus’ Name!

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14 || MAKE TIME ‘STRAIGHTWAY’

Mark 6:45-46 (KJV) «And straightway he [Jesus] constrained his disciples to get into the ship… And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.»

The word “straightway” in our verse is the Greek word euthéōs, which means doing something without any delays or intervening circumstances. This word speaks both to the timing and the determination of Jesus. His response to a great victory of feeding the five thousand was to withdraw immediately to a place where He could pray without distractions.

Setting alone time with God should not be a challenge for people who profess to be Christians. The Lord Jesus Christ only had three years to accomplish His mission, the greatest and busiest mission on earth. Yet with all this on His shoulders, He regularly took time to pray with no distractions. What has taken over your time at the expense of your alone time with God? Is it worth it? The answer will always be no. Make time for that which is eternal.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, by the leading and tutelage of Your Holy Spirit, teach me to order my days with You occupying first place.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
From today, I shall daily spend time in the Father’s presence. No distractions shall keep me away from being refreshed and renewed by my Father in Jesus’ Name!

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13 || COMPLETE SURRENDER

Romans 12:1 (KJV) «I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.»

Paul uses strange language in our opening verse because in New Testament times, there was no such thing as a living sacrifice when it came to the sacrifice of animals. When a sacrificial animal was killed on an altar, the act was final: it was dead. Yet God calls on us to present our bodies as living sacrifices. It means He’s seeking people who are to be completely surrendered to Him, fully dedicated to His purpose, and living entirely for Him.

It’s no secret that the desires of your flesh are often in direct contradiction with God’s plan for your life. It will fight tooth and nail to get its way every time. But remember who you are, a living sacrifice that God will only be able to work with if you present it so.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I repent for the ways I have indulged the carnal mind. I judge that as rebellion, and I refuse to give it place from today!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I paralyse every satanic deposit that came into my life because of carnality and evil desires. From today, I am led by the Spirit of God and Him alone!

TUESDAY, AUGUST 11 || JUST FORGIVE

Colossians 3:13 (KJV) «Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.»

Sadly, the hardest thing for some Christians to do is forgive. Born again, tongue babbling, faithfully serving, Bible-reading congregants or even Pastors harbour grudges spanning decades. Yet there’s no instance where the Bible encourages you to hold onto grudges or unforgiveness for whatever the reason.

In today’s verse, Paul specifically outlines how you are to respond to people who disappoint or upset you. And since life is filled with disappointments, it’s important for you to understand exactly what Paul meant when he wrote these words. If God were to act like some people, and choose to not forgive, where would that leave you. With all the wrongs you’ve done that God had to forgive, why can’t you extend the same grace to others and forgive them? This is not Christ-like. No need to reason; JUST FORGIVE!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, teach me to let go of wrongs committed against me. Cleanse my heart by Your Spirit from anything I have harboured against any in my heart. Thank You for forgiving me.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I shall never hold on to malice. Right now, I forgive everyone who wronged me in the past, present, and future!

MONDAY, AUGUST 10 || DISTRIBUTORS OF GRACE

1 Peter 1:1-2 (KJV) «Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the…Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father…Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied.»

One thing you will find consistently in Paul’s epistles, Peter’s, and John’s too, is their consciousness of the grace and peace of God. They understood the importance and power of grace and peace in the lives of God’s people. In today’s verse, Peter takes a step further to show us something remarkable. At the beginning of his epistle, he said, “…Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.” So, grace and peace can be multiplied, but how?

At the beginning of his second epistle, he pinpoints the answer: it’s through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. Multiplied grace means greater excellence, greater performance, favour, and prosperity in your life, and it can only take place if you increase genuine intimacy with God. Not only does it benefit you, but you, in turn, also become a distributor of grace by extending grace to others.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thank You, my Father, for multiplied grace and peace You have made available for me through Your Word.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
As I grow in grace and peace and increase my Father’s Kingdom, my spiritual climate shall send terror to the camp of the enemy. Glory!
