It is the Grand Finale of this glorious International Youth Programme, and the atmosphere is charged with joy, praise, and the presence of God!

With songs of worship, the youths exalted the Lord Jesus Christ, declaring Him as our Comforter, the unchangeable God, and the One who does what no man can do. Indeed, there is none like our God!

What a glorious atmosphere of joy, praise, and divine presence as the youths lift their voices to the Lord in worship, giving Him all the glory!

The youth that knows the Lord is rising with strength, passion, and purpose. We are ready to go forth, impact our generation, and do exploits for the Kingdom!

SPEAKER: BROTHER DANIEL AHAKPA

TOPIC: CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES: THE ACT OF BRIDGE-BURNING BY THE YOUTH THAT KNOWS THE LORD

TEXTS: Mark 9:43–47, Luke 9:62, Hebrews 10:38

Christian principles and practices refer to the fundamental beliefs and way of life of a true Christian—one who has given their life to Christ and chosen to live a holy life. A Christian recognises their need for a Saviour and lives by faith.

A principle is a fundamental belief, while practice is the application of what we believe. As Christians, we must put into practice what we have learned and allow our faith to reflect in our daily lives.

POINT ONE: THE BRIDGE EXPLAINED

The speaker explained that a bridge is built across an obstacle to provide a way through. In the same way, God has a purpose and plan for mankind, as seen from the beginning when He created man to have dominion.

Though we were sinners deserving of death, Jesus Christ came into the world and died so that we might have life.

As born-again Christians, we must not entertain the devil or engage in conversation with him. The only thing we owe the devil is to resist and rebuke him. To do this, we must spend time with the Word of God daily. When the Word of God is in our hearts, we will be able to resist the devil and remain steadfast in the faith.

POINT TWO: FORBIDDEN BRIDGES IN THE LIFE OF THE YOUTH THAT KNOWS THE LORD

The speaker taught that now that we are born again, we must burn every bridge that connects us back to sin.

These include cravings for sexual immorality, cultism, internet fraud, drug abuse, betrayal of trust, malice, lying, and other ungodly practices.

The youth that knows the Lord must flee from sin and its perversions, remembering that we have been called to live a life of holiness. We must die daily to sin and refuse to return to the life Christ has delivered us from.

Indeed, there should be no bridge back to the old life! The youth that knows the Lord must remain focused, continue in the faith, and press forward.

If you are not yet born again, surrender your life to Jesus Christ today. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain in Christ!

SECOND MESSAGE || THE YOUTH THAT KNOWS THE LORD || DAY 3 || INTERNATIONAL YOUTH PROGRAMME || AUGUST 2026

SPEAKER: PASTOR JOSHUA MUOKA

TOPIC: OUR VISION AND MANDATE

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” — Proverbs 29:18

Pastor Joshua Muoka taught on the importance of every Chosen youth knowing and accepting the vision and mandate of the ministry. Every Chosen youth must know the vision and mandate to the point where it will prepare and motivate them to work towards achieving it wherever they find themselves.

He explained that vision is like a compass that guides a person towards their destination. Therefore, no Chosen youth should be void of the vision and mandate.

POINT 1: KNOWING AND ACCEPTING OUR VISION — A NECESSITY AND THE REASONS

Everyone who is called a Chosen must know the vision and mandate of the church. Anyone who is void of this vision and mandate can do things anyhow. Therefore, every Chosen youth must have a clear knowledge of it and accept it as their own project.

Our Lord Jesus Christ also worked with a vision and mandate, which was to seek and to save that which was lost. He took it as His project and remained committed to fulfilling it.

Once we know and accept the vision and mandate, we will be equipped and filled with the zeal to achieve it. We will be different from others, knowing that everything we are looking for is hidden in the vision and mandate.

POINT 2: EXAMPLES AND EXPECTED RESPONSE

Those who came before us had visions, worked with them, and achieved them. Examples abound in the Bible.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came with a mission and mandate and did not allow distractions to stop Him from fulfilling the divine will of God. He went about preaching the Word of God and was committed to the business of soul winning. He remained focused until He fulfilled the vision and mandate.

Indeed, wherever we go, we shall be a blessing to those around us. As Chosen youths, we must know, accept, and work towards fulfilling our vision and mandate!

TOPIC: ADDICTION, DRUG ABUSE AND MISUSE AMONG THE YOUTH: PREVENTION AND BUILDING A DRUG-FREE GENERATION

HEALTH TALK

The speaker spoke extensively on drug abuse and misuse among the youth, its prevention, and the need to build a drug-free generation.

He explained that drugs are substances that can affect the body and brain. While some drugs are used for medical purposes, the misuse and abuse of drugs can negatively affect the body, mind, and overall well-being.

He noted that drug abuse can affect young people academically, mentally, and psychologically. The fight against drug abuse is also supported by organisations such as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The speaker also noted that our General Overseer has been an advocate against drug abuse and the supply of harmful substances.

He stressed that a youth who has been trained to know the Lord will not be involved in drug abuse.

Drug abuse can have several negative effects on the lives of young people. It can affect their physical health and their ability to function properly, leading to physical disorders, emotional trauma, poor relationships, financial challenges, and a lack of spiritual guidance.

Indeed, the youth that knows the Lord must stay away from drug abuse and work towards building a drug-free generation!

PANEL SESSION || THE YOUTH THAT KNOWS THE LORD || DAY 2 || INTERNATIONAL YOUTH PROGRAMME || AUGUST 2026

An educative panel session was held to enlighten the youths on various career and business sectors, including:

• FINANCE
• OIL & GAS
• BUSINESS
• MARITIME

FINANCE

The Finance session, anchored by Brother Nonye Obijiaku, centred on how to invest properly by buying stocks and shares from credible sources. He encouraged the youths to make good use of the internet to properly research and verify the credibility of companies before investing in their stocks or shares.

Very importantly, he emphasised the need to avoid fast money-making schemes with unrealistic profit margins.

OIL & GAS

The Oil & Gas session, anchored by Sister Favour, educated the youths on the various ways to navigate the sector, with or without capital. She explained that the Oil & Gas sector is lucrative and forms a vital part of the global economy.

She, however, stated the need to be knowledgeable about some basic aspects of the sector, such as quality control and the use of basic equipment for testing. In conclusion, she also stressed the importance of knowing the Lord, as that is the first key to success in every career or business sector.

BUSINESS

The Business session was anchored by Brother Chidubem. This session was an eye-opener to young and intending entrepreneurs on the core purpose of business, which is to solve problems and create value.

SEE IT - START IT - GROW IT

• Look out for opportunities and problems within your location and beyond.
• Do not wait for the perfect time to start; start small.
• Growth in business requires discipline, good customer service, and profit maximisation.

MARITIME

The last speaker anchored the Maritime session, educating the youths on what the sector is all about. He explained that the maritime sector is quite demanding and requires diligence, hard work, loyalty, and, most importantly, prayers.

He also stated that the sector contributes significantly to the nation’s revenue. The sector involves shipping, logistics, ports, and terminals, as well as the legal processes involved in imports, exports, and the clearing of goods.

Indeed, the panel session was a great time of learning, enlightenment, and empowerment for the youths!

The Campus Choir came with a powerful and energetic ministration, challenging the youth to examine their hearts and ask themselves: “Where is the love of God in your life?” Do you truly love Jesus and His people?

They reminded us that as youths who know the Lord, we are more than conquerors and victorious through Christ! We are a generation chosen to stand firm in faith, walk in righteousness, and remain committed to God.
