WISDOM ENGENDERS IMPACTFUL SPIRITUAL LIFE

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
Deuteronomy 4:6 (KJV)

Wisdom is hearing the Word and doing it. That was what the Lord Yahushua said in Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:“ As long as you remain in the Word, you are going to continue to function in Wisdom. Your spiritual life begins at new birth; at the time your spirit-man is quickened by the Holy Spirit; at the point of surrender to the Lordship of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach (Ephesians 2:1,5,6). Having come alive in HaMashiach, we have to walk in Wisdom to enjoy most successful relationship with Yahweh. The First thing about our lives as new creations is that the food of our recreated human spirit is the Word of Yahweh. 1 Peter 2:2 says, ‘As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:’ In John 6:63, the word says that ‘The Spirit is the one who gives life; human nature is of no help! The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.’ To grow and mature spiritually, you must be addicted to the Bible in reading, studying, meditating and practising same. You cannot outgrow this process as long as you are on this side of eternity. How long can one go without food before the body wears out? Same applies spiritually, if you starve your spirit of the Word, it will soon die and you would return back to sin.

Another thing about our recreated human spirit is that it has to breathe to live and what breathing is to the human body is what prayer is to the recreated human spirit. II Thessalonians 5:17 says that we should pray without ceasing. Prayer is the air we breathe to stay alive spiritually. Luke 18:1 says that we ought always to pray and not to faint. Prayer is an “always” thing. Then to intensify your prayer, you need to add fasting

Then to intensify your prayer, you need to add fasting to it. The Lord Yahushua says that there are some kind of situation that will not respond except fasting is added (see Matthew 17:21; Mark 9:29). It is important to note that prayer and fasting does not change Yahweh but it changes you. As you read the word in prayer and fasting, your faith grows to believe Yahweh for more and it is to us according to our faith (Matthew 9:29). Also don’t neglect praying in the Holy Spirit. Do that always!

Another thing about our recreated human spirit is that it was created for fellowship not just with Yahweh but with the brethren. We are like wood, our impact is only possible when we come together. On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit lighted the Church not in their different houses but when they were gathered together (Acts 2:1) and to maintain that fire, remaining together is inevitable. No matter the fire you claim to carry, you will naturally go off when you isolate yourself from fellowship of brethren (see Hebrews 10:25). This is the wisdom so many lacked that has extinguished their spiritual lives and fire.

Lastly for space, our recreated human spirit needs exercise to remain fit. What physical exercise is to the body is what godliness is to our recreated human spirit (see I Timothy 4:7-8). Godliness is the outworking of the gift of righteousness which you received at new birth. The day to day manifestation of that righteousness which results in reverence for Yahweh, peace and good works towards people.

REMEMBER: It takes Wisdom to maintain your spiritual life.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I receive the grace to do all that is required to maintain my spiritual life in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: Every indiscipline hindering your spiritual growth is cursed today in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (7): WITHOUT HYPOCRISY

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17 (KJV)

This is the last characteristic of divine Wisdom that Brother James talked about. This Wisdom is without hypocrisy. In Greek, the words for hypocrisy and hypocrite have to do with someone playing a part, as if they were an actor on stage. They’re dissemblers, pretenders who simulate, feign, and pretend to be something they are not (Thayer’s dictionary, entries on G5273 and G5271). The opposite is what we find in wisdom — anupokritos (G505), something that is unfeigned, undisguised, sincere. Somehow, we’re all familiar with the problem of hypocrisy in the Church. For most of us, it’s something we’ve had close experience with. We’ve found ourselves disgusted with others who we identify as hypocrites and we may even have caught ourselves doing hypocritical things. The Bible tells us “wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom” (Prov. 4:7, KJV). Wisdom is something Yahweh has in abundance and which He is eager to share with those who ask for it (James 1:5). As we grow in wisdom we will become people who are sincere, authentic, and live without hypocrisy.

Avoiding hypocrisy is not as simple a matter as it may seem, even for mature Christians. For example, Paul speaks of a time when the Apostle Peter and “even Barnabas” were carried away by hypocrisy, along with other Jewish Christians (Gal. 2:11-14). We all need to be vigilant. James 5:12 (WEB) says, “But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”, so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy.” You’ve probably read translations of this verse where the last line reads “lest you fall under judgement,” but the Greek word here is hupokrisis (G5272). I think knowing James is talking about hypocrisy makes his “above all things” statement make more sense. There is a great nee

I think knowing James is talking about hypocrisy makes his “above all things” statement make more sense. There is a great need for us to live genuine, godly lives without dissembling, lying, double-standards, and pay-acting.

The word used in James for “without hypocrisy” is used only five other times. In addition to wisdom being without hypocrisy, we’re also to love without hypocrisy (Rom. 12:9; 2 Cor. 6:6; 1 Pet. 1:22) and have faith without hypocrisy (1 Tim. 1:5; 2 Tim. 1:5). Sincere, unfeigned faith and love are core parts of a Christian life. As one of Yahweh’s most important character traits, love is foundational to having Godly wisdom. Faith and wisdom are also linked (Matt. 24:45; 2 Tim. 3:15). I Peter 2:1-3 says, “1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” We have all tasted the Lord’s grace and love if we’re in a relationship with Him. As such, we owe Him our whole hearts — not some outward, play-acted version of insincere faith.

REMEMBER: The Wisdom from above is without hypocrisy.

CONFESSION: I am a sincere, truthful, and dedicated friend. When I say that I love, I genuinely love. I don’t talk behind people’s backs. I don’t gossip. I don’t betray the friends Adonai has brought into my life. I function by Divine Wisdom. Halleluyah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I release grace upon you now to be true to Yahweh, brethren and yourself and whatever is confronting you today as a challenge turns to testimony for you now in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (6): WITHOUT PARTIALITY

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, …
James 3:17 (KJV)

Acting without partiality is a hard thing to do, but it is a godly thing and therefore worth doing. Part of growing to have the “wisdom that is from above” involves setting aside our automatic human reactions to situations and replacing them with how Yahweh would react. Before we start looking at how we’re to be impartial, it’s important to note that Yahweh doesn’t show partiality regarding whom He blesses with wisdom. James writes, “if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” If you meet the basic requirements — seek Elohim and ask in faith (see James 1:5-6) — then Elohim will give wisdom regardless of your age, background, ethnicity, status, ability, etc. He is not a “respecter of persons” who shows favouritism or twists His rules based on who someone is (see Deut. 10:17; 2 Chronicles 19:7; Acts 10:34). This is very grave when we consider what I Peter 1:15-17 says, “15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation? 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy? for I am holy. 17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:” You only endear yourself to the Lord when you work according His Word.

Part of becoming holy is learning to be like God, and one of the ways He operates is without showing favouritism. If we respect Him as Father, then we should know Him as impartial judge and respect Him by living in reverent fear. Interestingly, this sort of fear is called “the beginning of wisdom” (Ps. 111:10; Prov. 9:10, see also Prov. 15:33; Is. 33:6). Shortly before telling us the wisdom from above is “without partiality,” James gives us one example of what ungodly partiality looks like. James 2:1-4 says, “1 My brethren, have not the

Shortly before telling us the wisdom from above is “without partiality,” James gives us one example of what ungodly partiality looks like. James 2:1-4 says, “1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. 2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment? 3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place? and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?” When we show partiality we separate, make distinction, discriminate, and prefer one thing or person over another. That’s what diakrino means (G1252, Thayer’s dictionary definition). In contrast, wisdom is adiakritos — without diakrino (G87). Wisdom does not practice favouritism, discriminate, or see distinctions. When we respect God, who is impartial, we begin to learn wisdom and become more and more like Him. To show partiality is to not “be holy as the Father is holy.” In contrast, to act impartially is to become more like Yahweh. Selah!

REMEMBER: This Divine Wisdom is without partiality.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I desire to function like you without partiality, so help me Father in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: Receive the grace to live like Elohim in holiness in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (5): GOOD WORKS

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, …
James 3:17 (KJV)

Good works are simply actions that are good. Yahweh is the creator and definer of good. It is good to do everything He says is good. For example, the Bible tells us that Yahweh’s law is good and is given for our good: “Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good” (Romans 7:12). “Keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good” (Deuteronomy 10:13). Some examples the Bible gives of good works include keeping the commandments and giving to the poor (see Matthew 19:16-21); giving alms secretly (see Matthew 6:3-4); and even just giving someone a cup of cold water (see Matthew 10:42).

Let us see more biblical examples of good works. In Matthew 25:34-36 Yahushua gives several specific examples in His parable of the sheep and goats: “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’”

The book of Acts celebrates the good works of a woman who died in the early years of the Church. “At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. … And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them” (Acts 9:36, 39). Paul explained that Christians should not only stop doing bad things, but should do the opposite. In Ephesians 4:28 he wrote, “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.” Before we are converted, our “old man” does the works o

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (5): GOOD WORKS

In Ephesians 4:28 he wrote, “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.” Before we are converted, our “old man” does the works of the flesh, but our “new man” should do good works, reflecting the fruit of the Spirit. Everything that we do that is good can be called a good work, so studying and applying passages like Galatians 5:22-23 and Colossians 3:12-14 can help us grow in good works.

James even defined right religion in terms of good works. “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world” (James 1:27). James 2:16 demonstrates the importance of filling people’s physical needs, such as for clothing and food. Good works are the evidence of living faith, as James pointed out (James 2:14-26). When this Wisdom from above is at work in your life, you will surely overflow in good works.

REMEMBER: Good works is the manifestation of the Wisdom from above.

CONFESSION: I am from above. I came with divine Wisdom making me overflow in good works everywhere I go. Halleluyah!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that good works makes way for you this day for favour untold in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (4): FULL OF MERCY

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy …
James 3:17 (KJV)

Mercy is defined as that aspect of Yahweh’s character in which He does not give people what they deserve. Mercy is a disposition to be kind and forgiving. It is the feeling that motivates compassion. It is the force that alleviates distress and shows great kindness towards the distressed. When you are full of mercy, you pity those who are afflicted and those who afflict and offend you. When you are full of mercy, your default response to those who hurt you is pity not vengeance. This means that vengeful, get-even spirit is not divine Wisdom but earthly, sensual and devilish wisdom. When you are full of mercy, you are patient with people’s quirks. There are just people that behave odd and oppose everything. When you are full of mercy, you exercise a lot of patience with people’s quirks. What person in your life has irritating quirks? How can you practice patience with that person today and this week? Colossians 3:12 admonishes to ‘Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;’ The bowel is the inner most being of a person which is often considered by Hebrews as the seat of the tenderer affections, especially kindness, benevolence, and compassion. This is telling us that our mercy should flow from our innermost being and not a fake camouflage. That when you see someone in trouble, something should well up from your depth to show mercy to the person.

Full of mercy means helping anyone around you who is hurting. Our world is full of people that are broken, battered and hurting. You don’t go about gossiping and killing them the more, instead you show them mercy by extending a helping hand. When you see someone drowning, do you help rescue or contribute to the person’s sinking? See who around you is obviously hurting—and then look for a way you can help this week. If you can’t find anybody, then you’

When you see someone drowning, do you help rescue or contribute to the person’s sinking? See who around you is obviously hurting—and then look for a way you can help this week. If you can’t find anybody, then you’re not paying attention. Look closer! Who in your life needs a second chance? How can you show that person mercy and compassion today and this week? Full of mercy means giving people a second chance. Yes they have blown it before, mercy says, try again. Quit reminding them of how they failed before, let mercy erase their past while giving them a clean slate to win. Full of mercy means doing good to those who are hurting. Whether it is sickness, or marital distress, or career challenges, full of mercy, lains over to do good and offer help. Maybe you’re suffering from an old wound that you have not been able to let go of. Choose to forgive and then turn it around for good. Who is that person in your life? Will you make a phone call or a visit this week?

Full of mercy means being kind to those who offend you. Friend hear this, offence is a must (see Matthew 18:7). If you are going to achieve any worthwhile goal in your life, you are going to be offended in people and people are going to offend you, and some deliberately. Make up your mind for advance forgiveness for anyone that finally offends you. Look with pity on every offender. Moreover, we offend God everyday, so we have no choice but to be kind just as we have been shown kindness by the Father. How can you be intentional in showing kindness to those who offended you today and this week? Full of mercy means building bridges of love to the unpopular. What person first comes to mind when you think of an outcast? Who spends their lunch breaks eating alone or doesn’t seem to have friends at soccer games? What specific thing will you do this week to bridge the gap between you and that person with love? Go ahead and show mercy today and always, that is Divine Wisdom in operation.

REMEMBER: The Wisdom from above is full of mercy.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I ask for grace to be full of mercy in my relationship with the people of this world in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: As you function in mercy, you shall obtain mercy from the Lord in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
