📌How to sustain the fire
John 5:35, Proverbs 26:20, Luke 4:16-21
✨You don't just have to Pray to be ignited & stop, but you need to sustain your fire.
✨For the fire to be sustained, there must be an application of wood & continuous application of wood.
✨God’s desire for us is for us to become great like John the Baptist who was a burning and shinning light.
✨If you do not want your fire to quench, you need more or rather regular supply of wood.
RULE TO KEEP YOUR FIRE BURNING👇👇👇
1. Constantly feeding on the word of God. Luke 4:16, Jeremiah 23:29, Matthew 4:4
The word of God has fire in it. We must constantly feed on the word of God in other to sustain the fire. Joshua 1:8, 1 Tim 2:15
The word of God is a wood that you need to keep your fire burning.
If you do not study, you will face shame and your fire will go out.
When you continually study the word, your life will never remain the same Colossians 3:16
=> You can't carry God's word & not be on fire.
=> Allow the word of God dwell in you richly.
=> We should be a carrier of God's word.
2. Be a man and woman of prayer
=> We can't over emphasize the importance of prayer.
=> Prayer fuel your spiritual fire.
=> We must have a prayer pattern. Acts 2:1-3
=> The more you pray; the more you are on fire
=> If you want to sustain the fire, you must understand the pattern of prayer. Luke 18:1
=> When prayer goes out fire goes out
=> The more you pray the more you stay connected
=> If Jesus had to pray, you must be joking if you are not praying
=> A good amount of prayer is part of the wood to sustain your fire.
=> Prayer without season, don't stop praying
The more you pray the more result you get
⇒ If you need result, pray fervently Jude 1:20.
⇒ There's a level in your prayer life, you go beyond your vocabulary.⇒ The more you pray in spirit, the more you are built.
⇒ God desire for us is to build up ourselves in praying in tongues (1 Cor 14:18)
⇒ The more you pray in tongues, the more you are on fire. 1 Cor 14:13-
⇒ Each time we pray in tongue, there's a spiritual connection that happens.
⇒ When you pray in tongue you are rekindly the fire. Ephesians 6:18
3. Fellowship hebrew 10:25
⇒ For our fire to keep burning, we should fellowship constantly in God's presence.
⇒ When God shows up, fire shows up (Act⇒ In Acts 2, the disciple were together fellowship in God's Presence-
⇒ We should not forsake the assembly of ourselves together. Acts 13:2
⇒You can't gather in His name and He won't show up. If you want to hear from God, you must raise your spiritual antennal.
4. Praise and Worship
⇒You can't Praise and worship God and your life remain the same. Romans 12:1-2
⇒Anytime we come for fellowship, we come to present our body.
⇒The devil fight against the praise and worship leader becos they carry grace.
5. Fasting
⇒Fasting is when you want to sustain the fire in you and not just fasting becos you are in need.
⇒We must understand the importance of fasting. Pro 26:20
