Topic: Make God your Source
Text: John 3:27-30
As children of God, we are mandated to make God our source of living and strength. He should be the source of our progress, success, courage and so on. God is honored when we make Him our source.
He does not want anyone to make other things or dirty our source. He alone is the source of our existence today. Acts 17:28 tells us that God is the source of our existence.
As believers we do not understand that we are living because of Him. If we know, we do not understand. If we do, our lives will glorify God continually.
Whoever does not understand that God is their source is worse than a beast for animals understand that they exist because of God. We are to give God glory due to His name.
John 15:4-5 tells us that we cannot do anything without God. Do you realize this? In our daily lives, do we remember this? We do not have time to God especially in times like this.
Our devotion indicate whatever we have time for. When we have time for the material more than the invisible, God is not your source. Don’t allow anything to take His place in your life.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 tells us that those that do not have time for God are unreasonable. This indicates that God is not your source. Everything about you is God.
A drug addict is someone who is addicted to drugs instead of God. Do not make anybody your source….if you have been making anyone your source, repent now!
Make God your source and you will live forever. God is bigger than where you work and what you earn. Philippians 4:19 tells us that God will supply.
It is God that gives power, honour and authority and He will use man to execute His will. 1 Chronicles 29:12 tells us in the hand of God is greatness and not man. It is God that makes you great…..no matter the status or intelligence, it is God!
Hebrews 5:4 tells us that no man takes honor of himself. It is God that lifts one up because He is the source of everything. When it comes to your relationship with God, tell no man!
That which God has joined together, let no one out asunder. There’s no interference whenever it comes to you and Christ. Do not compromise your source.
David was distressed because he trusted man. Vain is the Help of man but there is help in the Lord. Oh that we decrease and let God increase in us. David sourced courage from the Lord according to 1 Samuel 30:6
Stop sourcing strength from those that will want your destruction. Make up your mind from today to make the Lord your source and the source of your excitement. In everything, make Him your source!
