๐Ÿ“… *Daily Reminder | Ask The Scholar (ATS)*

```Sunday, 14th Dhul Hijjah 1447AH (31st May 2026)```
โšช *Fasting the White Days (Ayyam al-Beed) in Dhul Hijjah*
Fasting three days every month is a highly rewarded Sunnah, but did you know that the month of Dhul Hijjah has a unique exception?
๐Ÿ“œ *The Proof:*
Abu Hurairah (RA) shared: _"My friend (the Prophet ๏ทบ) advised me to observe three things: To fast three days a month; to pray the Duha prayer; and to pray Witr before sleeping."_ (Sahih al-Bukhari)
However, because the 13th of Dhul Hijjah was yesterday (the last day of Tashreeq), fasting on that day was strictly prohibited as a _"day of eating and drinking."_ (Sahih Muslim)
๐Ÿ’ก *Scholarly Insight & Action Points:*
- *The Adjusted Schedule:* Since the 13th could not be fasted, anyone wishing to complete the Sunnah of fasting three days this month can fast today, *Sunday (14th)*, tomorrow, *Monday (15th)*, and simply add *Tuesday (16th)* or any other day of the month.
- *Flexibility in the Sunnah:* Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymeen clarified that while the 13th, 14th, and 15th are usually ideal, the Prophet ๏ทบ did not mind whether he fasted the three days at the beginning, middle, or end of the month. The goal is simply to achieve three days of fasting in total!
---
๐Ÿคฒ *Du'a of the Day:*
```O Allah, forgive us and have mercy on us, be pleased with us, and accept our good deeds. Admit us to Paradise, save us from the Fire, and rectify all of our affairs. Ameen.```

๐Ÿ– *Eid al-Adha Continues: The Purpose of the Days of Tashreeq*

Did you know that fasting is strictly prohibited during the Days of Tashreeq (the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul Hijjah)? They are days designed for celebration, gratitude, and devotion.

๐Ÿ“œ *The Proof:*
The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) said:
*"The days of Tashreeq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering (dhikr) of Allah, the Most Great and Glorious."* (Sahih Muslim)

๐Ÿ’ก *Scholarly Insight & Action Points (Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymeen):*

- *Lawful Enjoyment:* These days are a gift from Allah to enjoy lawful food, drink, and the meat of our sacrifices. Voluntary fasting is not permitted during this time.
- *The "Numbered Days":* These are the *Ayyam ma'dudaat* mentioned in Surah al-Baqarah (2:203). We should increase in our Takbeerat: _โ€œAllahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allahโ€ฆโ€_
- *Balance Celebration with Dhikr:* While we feast and enjoy time with family, our hearts and tongues must remain busy with the remembrance and glorification of Allah.

๐Ÿคฒ *Du'a of the Day:*
```O Allah, aid us in remembering You, thanking You, and worshipping You excellently. Accept our deeds during these blessed Days of Tashreeq, fill our hearts with gratitude, and forgive our shortcomings. Ameen.```
ATS DAILY NUGGET: The Sacrifice of Gratitude โ€“ Al-Udhiyah ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
Today is Saturday, the 6th of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH (23 May 2026).
Day 6 of 10 โ€“ Preparing the Sacrifice: Reviving the Sunnah of Ibrahim (AS)
The Hadith:
Narrated 'A'ishah (RA): The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) ordered for a ram to be brought as a sacrifice. He (๏ทบ) laid it on its side and said: "In the name of Allah, O Allah, accept it from Muhammad, the house of Muhammad, and the nation of Muhammad." Then, he sacrificed it. (Sahih Muslim 1967).
๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS: Guidelines for a Valid Sacrifice
The Udhiyah is a powerful act of worship that symbolizes submission to Allah. To ensure its validity and maximize the reward, we must adhere to the standards set by the Sunnah:
๐Ÿ”น The Categories of Livestock: The sacrifice must be from the Bahimat al-An'am (cattle). According to Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, the order of preference is a camel, then a cow (if offering the whole), then a sheep, then a goat.
๐Ÿ”น Age Requirements: The animal must have reached the age stipulated by Shariah:
Camel: 5 years.
Cow: 2 years.
Goat: 1 year.
Sheep: 6 months (if it is substantial/fat).
๐Ÿ”น Quality Over Cost: Allah says: โ€œAnd whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.โ€ (Surah al-Hajj 22:32). We should choose an animal that is physically healthy and well-built.
๐Ÿ”น The "Four Forbidden" Defects: The Prophet (๏ทบ) explicitly mentioned four types of animals that are not acceptable for sacrifice:
The one-eyed animal whose defect is obvious.
The sick animal whose sickness is obvious.
The lame/limping animal whose limp is obvious.
The emaciated (skinny) animal that has no marrow in its bones.
๐Ÿ”น The Spirit of the Act: When the Prophet (๏ทบ) mentioned his Ummah during the sacrifice, it showed his immense love for us. For those of us sacrificing this year, we should maintain a sincere intention, ensuring the act is purely for Allah and not for social status.
๐Ÿ’ก ACTION PLAN FOR DAY 6
Final Inspection: If you have already purchased your animal, check it today for the four defects mentioned above.
Confirm the Logistics: Ensure you have a plan for the slaughtering dayโ€”whether you are doing it yourself or have arranged for a butcher.
Refrain Reminder: Continue to refrain from cutting your hair or nails if you are the one offering the sacrifice.
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing. ฤ€meen.
Are you planning to perform the slaughter yourself this year, following the Prophetโ€™s (๏ทบ) example of direct involvement?
ATS DAILY NUGGET: Charity and the Multiplication of Rewards ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
Today is Friday, the 5th of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH (22 May 2026).
Day 5 of 10 โ€“ Zakah and Sadaqah: Investing for the Hereafter
The Verse:
Allah says: โ€œAnd perform the Salah and give the Zakah, and whatever of good you send forth for yourselves before you, you shall find it with Allah.โ€ (Surah al-Baqarah 2:110).
๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS (Source: Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen)
๐Ÿ”น A Pillar of Social Harmony: Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen explains that Zakah is not merely a tax; it is a mechanism for "individual and societal rectification." By distributing wealth from those who have to those in need, it purifies the heart of the giver from greed and the heart of the receiver from envy, fostering a community rooted in love and security.
๐Ÿ”น The "Best Ten Days" Multiplier: While Sadaqah is virtuous year-round, giving during these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah aligns your charity with the most superior days of the year. If a single act of Sadaqah can be multiplied up to 700-fold (Surah al-Baqarah 2:261), imagine the weight of that deed when performed during the days most beloved to Allah!
๐Ÿ”น The Benefits of Giving:
A Shield from Sins: The Prophet (๏ทบ) said that Sadaqah extinguishes sins just as water extinguishes fire.
Protection on the Day of Judgment: Secret charity grants a believer shade under Allah's Throne when there is no other shade.
Legacy Beyond Life: Giving towards a "Sadaqah Jariyah" (ongoing charity, like a well or a school) ensures rewards continue to reach your record even after death.
Freedom from Fear: Allah promises that those who spend their wealth in His way will have no fear, nor shall they grieve (Surah al-Baqarah 2:274).
๐Ÿ”น The Gateway: Those who are consistent in their charity will be called from Baab as-Sadaqah, one of the specialized gates of Jannah. Using this Fridayโ€”a day of multiplied rewards itselfโ€”to give charity is a strategic way to maximize your spiritual "return on investment."
๐Ÿ’ก ACTION PLAN FOR DAY 5
Calculate & Clear: If your Zakah is due around this time, do not delay. Clear your obligation today to benefit from the virtue of these ten days.
The Friday Sadaqah: Even a small amount given today carries immense weight. Automate a daily donation for the remaining five days to ensure you don't miss out.
Feed a Fasting Person: Since many are fasting during these nine days, providing Iftar for someone is a double rewardโ€”the reward of charity and the reward of the fast.
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing. ฤ€meen.
Given that it's Friday, have you identified a local cause or a "Sadaqah Jariyah" project to support before the sun sets today?
ATS DAILY NUGGET: The Gateway to Success โ€“ Sincere Repentance ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
Today is Thursday, the 4th of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH (21 May 2026).
Day 4 of 10 โ€“ Tawbatan Nasuhan: A New Beginning
The Verse:
Allah says: โ€œBut as for him who repented, believed and did righteous deeds, then he will be among those who are successful.โ€ (Surah al-Qasas 28:67).
๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS (Source: Tafsir As-Sa'di)
๐Ÿ”น What is Sincere Repentance? Shaykh As-Sa'di explains that At-Tawbah an-Nasuhah is a "comprehensive repentance." It isn't just about one mistake; it is a total return to Allah that covers all sins, performed purely for His sake, and maintained with steadfastness. It is the act of closing the doors to the past and walking through the door of Divine Mercy.
๐Ÿ”น The Power of Combination: While repentance is obligatory at all times, combining it with the "Best Ten Days" of the year is a mechanical advantage for the believer. When you align a clean slate (repentance) with high-reward days (Dhul-Hijjah), you are positioning yourself for the ultimate success mentioned in the ayah.
๐Ÿ”น The Anatomy of Repentance: For your repentance to be technically complete and accepted, scholars outline specific criteria:
Type of SinRequired ConditionsAgainst Allah
1. Give up the sin immediately.
2. Feel deep regret for the action.
3. Resolve never to return to it.
Against People All of the above +
4. Restore the rights of the person (e.g., returning money, asking for forgiveness for backbiting).
๐Ÿ”น The Urgency of "Now": Al-Hasan al-Basriโ€™s wisdom serves as a grounded reminder: โ€œToday is all you have.โ€ We treat the "departure" as a distant event, but the wise Muslim knows that the best provision for an unknown departure time is Taqwa (piety) fueled by a heart that constantly clears its debts with Allah through Istighfar.
๐Ÿ’ก ACTION PLAN FOR DAY 4
The Private Audit: Take 10 minutes tonight in solitude. Identify one recurring sin or mistake and apply the three conditions of repentance to it.
Restore Rights: If you owe someone money or have spoken ill of them, make a concrete plan today to rectify that situation.
Abundant Istighfar: Keep your tongue moist with "Astaghfirullah" (I seek Allah's forgiveness) between your recitations of the Takbir.
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing. ฤ€meen.
ATS DAILY NUGGET: Elevation Through Prostration ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
Today is Wednesday, the 3rd of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH (20 May 2026).
Day 3 of 10 โ€“ Abundant Sujood: The Path to the Highest Ranks
The Hadith:
Narrated Thauban (RA): I heard the Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) saying, "Perform Salah more often. For every prostration that you perform before Allah, He will raise your position one degree and will remit one of your sins." (Sahih Muslim).
ุนูŽู†ู’ ุซูŽูˆู’ุจูŽุงู†ูŽ ู…ูŽูˆู’ู„ูŽู‰ ุฑูŽุณููˆู„ู ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽโ€:โ€ ุณูŽู…ูุนู’ุชู ุฑูŽุณููˆู„ูŽ ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ูŠูŽู‚ููˆู„ูโ€:โ€ โ€ "โ€ุนูŽู„ูŽูŠู’ูƒูŽ ุจููƒูŽุซู’ุฑูŽุฉู ุงู„ุณูู‘ุฌููˆุฏูุŒ ููŽุฅูู†ูŽู‘ูƒูŽ ู„ูŽู†ู’ ุชูŽุณู’ุฌูุฏูŽ ู„ูู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู ุณูŽุฌู’ุฏูŽุฉู‹ ุฅูู„ุงูŽู‘ ุฑูŽููŽุนูŽูƒูŽ ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู ุจูู‡ูŽุง ุฏูŽุฑูŽุฌูŽุฉู‹ุŒ ูˆูŽุญูŽุทูŽู‘ ุนูŽู†ู’ูƒูŽ ุจูู‡ูŽุง ุฎูŽุทููŠุฆูŽุฉู‹โ€"โ€โ€
๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS (Source: Sharh Riyadh as-Saliheen, Ibn Baz)
๐Ÿ”น The Companion's Secret: When the Sahaba asked the Prophet (๏ทบ) for the best way to enter Paradise or for the honor of his company in the Hereafter, his consistent answer was: "Help me to help you by making abundant sujood." This shows that prostration is the ultimate tool for proximity to Allah and His Messenger.
๐Ÿ”น Beyond the Obligatory: While the five daily prayers are the foundation, "abundant sujood" refers to increasing voluntary (Nawafil) prayers. During these best ten days, we should aim to perfect and protect our:
Sunnah Rawatib: The 12 rak'ahs associated with the daily fard prayers.
Salat-ud-Duha: The mid-morning prayer.
Qiyam al-Layl: The night prayer, which is a hallmark of the righteous.
๐Ÿ”น Dual Benefit of Every Prostration: Every single time your forehead touches the ground in sincere worship, two mechanical shifts occur in your spiritual record:
Elevation: Your rank in Jannah is raised by one degree.
Purification: One of your sins is wiped away.
๐Ÿ”น A Call to Exertion: Just as we chase the rewards of the last ten nights of Ramadan, we must realize that the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are our "golden hours" of the daytime. There is no better way to fill these hours than with the humility and submission found in prostration.
๐Ÿ’ก ACTION PLAN FOR DAY 3
Add Two: If you don't usually pray Duha or the Sunnah prayers after Isha, start today with just two rak'ahs.
Lengthen the Sujood: Use the time in prostration to make sincere du'a, as the slave is closest to their Lord while in Sujood.
Stay Mindful: Remind yourself with every prostration: "One degree up, one sin gone."
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing. ฤ€meen.
How are you finding the transition into these ten days? Are you managing to fit in a few extra rak'ahs today?
ATS DAILY NUGGET: Reviving the Sunnah of Remembrance ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
Today is Tuesday, the 2nd of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH (19 May 2026).
Day 2 of 10 โ€“ Constant Remembrance: The Heart of the Ten Days
The Verse:
Allah says: โ€œThat they may witness things that are of benefit to them... and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days...โ€ (Surah Al-Hajj 22:28).
The Hadith:
Narrated by โ€˜Abdullah ibn โ€˜Umar (RA): The Prophet (๏ทบ) said: "There are no days that are greater before Allah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of Tahleel (La ilaha illallah), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Alhamdulillah) during them." (Musnad Ahmad; Sahih by Ahmad Shakir).
๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS
๐Ÿ”น The Marketplace Sunnah: The great Companions Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah (RA) did not just recite these words in the privacy of their homes. They went into the public marketplaces specifically to recite the Takbir out loud. This wasn't to chant in unison, but to serve as a spiritual "alarm clock" to remind everyone else to begin their own individual remembrance.
๐Ÿ”น Two Varieties of Takbeer: As clarified by the Permanent Committee (Al-Lajna ad-Dฤสพima), the Takbeer is categorized into two timings:
Unrestricted (Al-Mutlaq): Recited at any time (walking, sitting, working) from the first of Dhul-Hijjah until the sunset of the 13th (the last Day of Tashreeq).
Restricted (Al-Muqayyad): Recited specifically after the five daily obligatory prayers, starting from the Fajr of 'Arafah (9th) until the 'Asr of the last Day of Tashreeq (13th).
๐Ÿ”น The Formula of Success: While there are various wordings, the most common and Sunnah-based formula is:
Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, Allaahu akbar, wa Lillaah il-hamd.
๐Ÿ’ก ACTION PLAN FOR DAY 2
Revive the Public Sunnah: Don't be shy. Recite the Takbeer while driving, shopping, or walking. You might be the reason someone else remembers to praise Allaah today.
The "Three T's": Focus your tongue on the "Three T's" mentioned in the Hadith: Tahleel, Takbeer, and Tahmeed.
Mindful Engagement: Don't just say the words; reflect on the Greatness (Kibriyฤ') of Allah. These words are meant to displace the love of the world in our hearts.
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing. ฤ€meen.
ATS DAILY NUGGET: The First of the Best Ten Days ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
Today is Monday, the 1st of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH (18 May 2026).
Day 1 of 10 โ€“ Fasting: A Shield and a Sacrifice
The Hadith:
Narrated from one of the wives of the Prophet (๏ทบ): "The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) used to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah, the day of โ€˜Ashuraโ€™, and three days of every month..." (Sunan Abi Dawud 2437; Sahih by al-Albani).
ูˆุนู† ุจุนุถ ุฃุฒูˆุงุฌ ุงู„ู†ุจูŠ ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ู‚ุงู„ุช: โ€"โ€ูƒูŽุงู†ูŽ ุฑูŽุณููˆู„ู ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ูŠูŽุตููˆู…ู ุชูุณู’ุนูŽ ุฐููŠ ุงู„ู’ุญูุฌูŽู‘ุฉู ูˆูŽูŠูŽูˆู’ู…ูŽ ุนูŽุงุดููˆุฑูŽุงุกูŽ ูˆูŽุซูŽู„ุงูŽุซูŽุฉูŽ ุฃูŽูŠูŽู‘ุงู…ู ู…ูู†ู’ ูƒูู„ูู‘ ุดูŽู‡ู’ุฑู..."โ€
๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS: Reconciling the Narrations
๐Ÿ”น Observational Differences: While one narration affirms the Prophetโ€™s (๏ทบ) fasting, another from 'A'ishah (RA) states she did not see him fast. Scholars, including Shaykh Ibn Al-Uthaymeen, apply the principle that affirming evidence takes precedence over negating evidence. One witness seeing an act confirms its existence, even if another witness happened to miss it.
๐Ÿ”น Mercy for the Ummah: Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajar suggests the Prophet (๏ทบ) may have occasionally abstained from fasting these days to ensure his followers did not mistakenly view the practice as an obligatory burden (Wajib), reflecting his characteristic mercy.
๐Ÿ”น The General Virtue: Shaykh Ibn Baz emphasized that regardless of the specific frequency of the Prophetโ€™s (๏ทบ) fasting, the general command to increase "righteous deeds" during these ten days is undisputed. Fasting is undeniably one of the most beloved righteous deeds to Allah.
๐Ÿ”น The Launch of Takbir: From today, it is Sunnah to fill our homes, marketplaces, and mosques with the sound of the Takbir:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd.
๐Ÿ’ก ACTION PLAN FOR DAY 1
Intention: If health permits, make the intention to fast the first nine days (or as many as you can).
Tongue in Motion: Frequently recite the Takbir throughout your daily commute and work.
Refrain: If you are offering a sacrifice (Udhiyah), remember to refrain from cutting your hair or nails starting from today until the slaughter is complete.
Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. ฤ€meen.
Today is Sunday, the 29th of Dhul-Qa'dah 1447 AH (17 May 2026).
*When They Ask About Hajj, Say: It Is a Sacred Journey of a Lifetime.*
*The Hadith:*
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA): The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, *"No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijjah)."* Some companions asked, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, _"Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things."_ (Sahih al-Bukhari 969).
---
*๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS (Source: Fathul Baari & Tafsir Ibn Kathir)*
๐Ÿ”น *Superiority of the Days:* These ten days are the most virtuous days of the entire year. While the last ten *nights* of Ramadan are superior because they contain _Laylat al-Qadr_, the first ten *days* of Dhul-Hijjah hold the highest rank for daytime worship.
๐Ÿ”น *The Convergence of Worship:* Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajar explains that the unique excellence of this period stems from the fact that all major acts of worshipโ€”Prayer, Fasting, Charity, Hajj, and Sacrifice _(Udhiyyah)_ โ€” converge within these ten days. This combination does not happen at any other time of the year.
๐Ÿ”น *Abundant Remembrance:* It is highly recommended to increase in _Dhikr_ (remembrance), specifically:
- *Takbeer:* _Allahu Akbar_ (Allah is the Greatest)
- *Tahmeed:* _Alhamdulillah_ (Praise be to Allah)
- *Tahleel:* _La ilaha illa Allah_ (There is no god but Allah)
๐Ÿ”น *A Rare Opportunity:* The Hadith places these days on such a high pedestal that even the noble act of Jihad is only superior if the person loses everythingโ€”both life and wealth. For most people, performing simple righteous deeds like fasting, giving charity, or reciting Quran during this week carries more weight than intense efforts made at other times.
---
*โš ๏ธ MOON SIGHTING ALERT:* Be sure to look for the *Hilal* (new moon) of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH around Maghrib time tonight. If the moon is sighted, the sacred ten days begin!
```
O Allah, accept the Hajj of the pilgrims, forgive their sins, and return them safely. Strengthen Islam and the Muslims worldwide. Grant us goodness in this life and the Hereafter, and protect us from the Fire. ฤ€meen.

```
Is there a specific act of worship you are planning to prioritize during these upcoming ten days?
ATS DAILY NUGGET: The Deprivation of the Capable & Preparing for the Best 10 Days ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
Today is Saturday, the 28th of Dhul-Qa'dah 1447 AH (16 May 2026).
When They Ask About Hajj, Say: It Is a Sacred Journey of a Lifetime.
The Hadith (Qudsi):
Narrated from Abu Saโ€™eed al-Khudri (RA): The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) said: โ€œAllah says: โ€˜A person whose body I make healthy and to whom I grant ample provision but five years go by and he does not come to Me is indeed deprived.โ€™โ€ (Abu Yaโ€™laa and al-Bayhaqi; Sahih by al-Albani).
๐Ÿ“ KEY LESSONS
๐Ÿ”น The Warning of Deprivation: This Hadith serves as a wake-up call for those blessed with health and wealth. While Hajj is a once-in-a-lifetime obligation, letting five years pass without visiting the House of Allah (for Hajj or 'Umrah) despite having the means is described as being "deprived"โ€”missing out on a immense spiritual purification and divine hospitality.
๐Ÿ”น Recommendation vs. Obligation: Imam Al-Khattabi clarifies that this five-year interval is a recommendation (Mustahabb), not a legal requirement. The core obligation of Hajj remains once per lifetime. However, the spiritual "deprivation" refers to the loss of a great opportunity for the expiation of sins and the elevation of ranks.
๐Ÿ”น Preparing for Dhul-Hijjah: As we approach the end of Dhul-Qa'dah, it is time to prepare for the Best 10 Days of the Year. For those intending to offer a sacrificial animal (Udhiyah/Layyah), a specific ruling applies:
The Restriction: Once the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah is sighted (or Dhul-Qa'dah completes 30 days), the person offering the sacrifice is prohibited from cutting their hair, nails, or removing any skin.
The Duration: This restriction remains in place until the sacrifice is slaughtered on the Day of 'Eid or during the days of Tashreeq.
The Evidence: This is based on the Hadith of Umm Salamah (RA) in Sahih Muslim: "When the ten days begin... let him refrain (from cutting) his hair and nails."
๐Ÿ”น The Goal: These restrictions serve to bring the non-pilgrim into a state of spiritual solidarity with the pilgrims in Ihram, focusing the heart entirely on the upcoming act of worship and sacrifice.
O Allah, accept the Hajj of the pilgrims, forgive their sins, and return them safely. Strengthen Islam and the Muslims worldwide. Grant us goodness in this life and the Hereafter, and protect us from the Fire. ฤ€meen.
