POSSIBLITY

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU

Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23

Possibility is the ability to live your life with a positive mindset.

It is the ability to trust and believe that with God nothing is impossible.

If God says, all things are possible with him, then you can confidently lean on him and also believe that he can make what looks impossible becomes possible for you.

Sometimes it is difficult to believe that certain things will work for you, but it is important that you do not set limits on yourself.

“All things are possible to them that believe”. It is better to believe that certain things you are trusting God for will work rather than believe that they are not possible.

This is because there is power in your thinking and belief.Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”.

Therefore, it is more rewarding to think possibilities than to think impossibilities.

So it is actually possible to believe that what is looking impossible before you is actually possible for you to attain by anchoring your faith in God.

Adopt the attitude of Jesus who saw possibility in every situation that looked negative.

Jesus would see a dead person like Lazarus and tell you that he is sleeping and is going to wake him up.

Jesus saw the multitude and believe that five loaves of bread and two fishes would feed them.

He commanded the multitude to sit down, looked up to heaven, gave thanks to God, and he gave the disciple to distribute to the multitude.

The scripture says over 5,000 people did eat, and were filled and they had twelve baskets as remnants.

Nothing shall be impossible to you if you believe and doubt not.

Beloved, it may not be easy to adopt a attitude of possibility in the face of adversity, but you can pray for God’s grace and discipline your mind to think positively.

To develop the attitude of possibility, you have to free yourself from negative emotions like fear and the feeling of hopelessness.

Believe God’s word, stay around people who believe in you and stir you up to make things happen and be yourself.

As we begin this new month today, Do not accept failure as the final answer but that you have learnt some lessons that will propel you unto a greater height.

If you Believe it, then it's possible.

If your Faith can say yes, then God can't say no.

CONFESSION: Lord, may all things work together for my good in Jesus name. Make my dreams possible for me to attain without stress in Jesus Christ name.

For further reference:

Luke 18:27

May God take away the spirit of doubt from you right now in Jesus Christ name.

THE WORD OF GOD

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

The Word of God is God Almighty Himself. In fact, the Word is Jesus Christ personified (John 1:1-2).

There is so much power embedded in the Word of God, and if Christians will understand it in this dimension, battles of life will be easy.

The Word of God is the source of faith to believers.

It brings healing to the sick and those who are downtrodden.

The Word of God nourishes the spiritual life of a believer. It helps him grow in the Lord.

When it is not regularly read, it produces spiritual weakness.

Failure in Christianity stems from abstinence from the Word of God.

A disciplined believer, who desires to grow and overcome the devil and his onslaught, must read the Word always.

To have access to God’s power, a believer must read and stay with the Word, which is the totality of what a child of God needs in life.

The Word of God should not be read in isolation.

To have a proper grasp of the scriptures, a believer needs good Christian materials, such as Bible commentaries, Concordance, different Bible translations, Atlas, maps, Bible history, etc. These materials will give a Christian a deeper insight into the Word of God.

Those who read the Word without good Christian materials will have a shallow understanding of the scriptures.

The Word of God is all you need to succeed in life’s journey.

Study and read the Word of God on daily basis and watch your spiritual life grow.

Only the knowledge of His Word can lead a person to the true knowledge of Him and consequently His power.

God's word is a standard against which all philosophies, ideas, and proposed solutions for the human condition can be measured for accuracy.

If God's word approves it, we can run with it; if the Word rejects it, nothing we can do will make it work, make it acceptable, or make it right.

Only the word of God has the power to prepare us for a world we cannot see and hardly imagine, but one which is swiftly coming upon each and every one of us.

Beloved, unless you tap into the power in the proper way, all of that tremendous power will do you no good and produce nothing in your life.

This is the connection between knowledge and power.

If we know the Word, we then experience its power.

When we experience its power, we are experiencing God's power.

Obeying the Word brings power into your life.

Sharing the Word multiplies that power in the lives of other people.

Make up your mind to be full of God's word daily. Be wise.

CONFESSION: Heavenly Father, help me to know and grow in your Word, in Jesus Christ name.

May God's Word be established in your life this season in Jesus Christ name.

REFUSE COMPARISM 2

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3

In continuation of our discussion, I want you to know that comparing yourself with another is ungodly.

To find freedom from this deadly toxic of comparison remove your eyes from man, and focus on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

God expects us to feel good about ourselves, in fact, He said, we are to love ourselves first, then and only then can we truly have a good loving relationship with others.

It can be summed up in this one commandment, "Love others as you love yourself..." (Galatian 5:14).

It is clear from this commandment that you are really unable to love others if you cannot love yourself.

Sometimes the hardest person for us to forgive is ourselves. Far too many people become their own judge, jury and executioner, continuing to inflict blow upon blow of self-condemnation upon themselves.

Even, if you have done wrong, ask God for forgiveness, and then accept His forgiveness by forgiving yourself.

I want you to understand that nothing destroys one’s self-esteem more than a depressing recall of shameful deeds and re-runs of past failures.

Venus Williams once said, “Just believe in yourself. Even if you don’t, pretend that you do and, at some point, you will.”

Norman Vincent Peale had this to say, “Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy”.

If you believe you cannot do something - often you cannot! A negative self-defeating attitude can cause a man to fail when he could have prevailed otherwise.

Child of God, you need to have a realistic view of yourself - a Spirit-led and Christ-centered view of yourself.

Beloved, do not compare yourself with anyone.

Say to yourself "I am going through a process, and when that process hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration."

When we see others who have what we want, our lives seem lacking. Great people focus on the goal.

They pay little or no attention to compliments, and even less attention to criticisms. Be wise ...

CONFESSION: Father, help me to believe in myself and to walk in confidence, knowing that I am made in your image and that you have a good plan for my life in Jesus Christ name.

For further reference:

2 Cor 10:12

May God disgrace all those who wish you and your family evil in Jesus Christ name.

REFUSE COMPARISM

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3

Comparison is a common practice that can cripple any man, including a believer. So much of our unhappiness comes from comparing our lives.

It leads to pride or low self-esteem, neither of which is healthy. Comparison does four things - Comparison kills contentment, comparison leaves you prideful, comparison leaves you bitter, and comparison makes you insecure.

The reason some people struggle with insecurity is because they compare their behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.

An elephant and a dog became pregnant at same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies.

Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies.

The pattern continued. On the eighteenth month, the dog approached the elephant questioning, "Are you sure that you are pregnant?

We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies, and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. What is going on?".

The elephant replied, "There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy, but an elephant.

I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention.

What I am carrying is mighty and great, that is why it is taking time to incubate”.

Beloved, you are unique, so there is no basis for comparism. What you have, no other person has.

God has packaged you with unique features that cannot be seen in any other. None of the sons of Peninnah could compare to one son of Hannah (Samuel).

Child of God, you will never be content on the inside if you are always looking at what other people have on the outside.

You must also understand that the abilities you have come from God. Each of us have been given at least one talent and many abilities.

comparing our abilities and talents causes jealousy. Allow God to complete His work in your life.

Do not let someone else dictate your life. And do not compare your dream and vision to what someone else has or has not.

Believe in yourself, and let Jesus Christ be your model. Be wise. ..

CONFESSION: Lord, help me to avoid comparing myself to others and instead to focus on the talents and gifts You have given me, in Jesus Christ name.

APPLY YOUR FAITH

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU

But without faith it is impossible to please Him (God): for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

Faith is a spiritual force that commits God’s integrity to work out His good promise upon our lives.

This means that if God has said anything to you and you have faith, you have committed His integrity that He will make happen what He has said.

Faith is the bridge that connects you to your destination. Faith is power that gives you control over your situations and atmosphere.

Once you lose faith, you have lost control of all things.

Until you know how to appropriate your faith you will not be guaranteed victory in your life as a child of God.

Faith is the deciding factor.

Though faith is a deciding faith, faith is to be applied. The application of faith helps you to apply the word of God or promises in spite of how you feel, in spite of your circumstances and what your feelings and obstacles are.

Applying your faith helps you to know how to stand and fight between what the word of God says about you and what your situation, location and condition is saying.

Many Christian use “belief” and “faith” interchangeably, but there is a big difference, though dictionary put them to mean the same thing, they are not.

This is the reason many people think that it is enough to believe or have a belief in God, but that is not the same thing as having faith in God.

Faith is more than believe, faith is absolute trust and dependence on God and on His Word.

James 2:19 says, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

You need to get this understanding so that you can appropriate your faith in the right manner as a child of God.

Until you know how to appropriate your faith, you cannot be delivered into your inheritance.

This is because you will lack good report before God and you cannot takeover in destiny.

Apostle James told us that believe is not enough. We must move over to the place of faith.

The application of faith is to get a picture out of the Scripture. It is to use the Word of God to fight.

It is to stand on what God has said.

CONFESSION: Oh Lord, I appropriate my faith today. By this understanding, I switch my belief to faith and I reap the harvest of your promises for my life in Jesus Christ name.

For further reference:

Hebrews 11:1_6

May God establish you deeply in your Faith in Jesus Christ name.

SPIRIT FILLED

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 Cor 2:12

At new birth, the Christian receives the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Though all Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, not all Christians are filled (directed and empowered) by the Holy Spirit.

When one is filled with the Holy Spirit, he is a true disciple of Christ.

In His last command before His ascension, Christ promised the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us to be witnesses for Him (Acts 1:1-9).

The Spirit directed life can only be a reality through faith (absolute trust in God).

The Bible tells us that there are three kinds of people:

1. Natural Man (one who has not received Christ) (1 Corinthians 2:14).

2. Spiritual Man (One who is directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit) 1 Corinthians 2:15)

3. Carnal Man (One who has received Christ, but who lives in defeat because he is trying to live the Christian life in his own strength) (1 Corinthians 3:1-3).

As you continue to trust Christ, you will demonstrate more and more of the fruit of the Spirit and you will be more and more conformed to the image of Christ.

Your prayer life and study of God's Word will become more meaningful.

You will experience His power in witnessing and be prepared for spiritual conflict against the world (1 John 2:15-17); against the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17); and against Satan (1 Peter 5:7-9; Ephesians 6:10-13).

You will experience His power to resist temptation and sin because at that point it is no longer you at work but the Spirit of God that dwells on your inside.

I see you do great signs and wonders in Jesus Christ name.

A Believer who knows the reality of being filled with the Holy Spirit and who lives constantly, under His gracious direction, will have a fruitful and an exciting adventure on a daily basis.

The choice is yours..

CONFESSION: Fill me Lord till I over flow, fill my spirit till I overflow to do wonders that will draw men and women into your kingdom in Jesus Christ name.

For further reference:

1 Cor 14

May excess Grace be made available to you this season in Jesus Christ name.

DO NOT FOLLOW EVIL PATH

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. 3 John 1:11

We now live in a society where evil activities are becoming the order of the day. Evil activities are spreading like wild fire in our present day generation.

People now gladly embrace evil without their hearts pricking them. They derive maximum joy in metering evil to others.

They have allowed themselves to be used as an instrument of evil by the devil. Plainly speaking, the rate of moral decadence is increasing on a daily basis.

Beloved, you are another kind of personality, and should not follow the wagon of those who do evil.

As a Christian it is a taboo for evil to brew out from your camp. Your nature as a new creature forbids evil and its activities. Evil activities irritate the spirit man of any genuine believer.

It is pathetic to see some Christians throwing the darts of evil on others. Some believers derive joy in meting evil to their follow Christian.

Some literally champion the downfall of others. Some even go extra mile to conjure unimaginable lies just to tarnish the image of others.

Also gossip, backbite, and some are slandering the character of others. Beloved, this ought not be heard or allowed in our midst.

Therefore, we must not follow this evil pattern that is gradually eating deep in the church community.

What profit do you derive in denting the image of others? What do you stand to gain in trying to stop others from shining?

Remember that any man who follows the train of evil hath not seen God (3 John 1:11).

Diotrephes is a typical example of a person, who metered evil against his follow brethren.

He literally prated malicious words against the apostles. He even went ahead to forbid others from receiving the apostles and casted out from the church those who received the apostles (3 John 1:9-10).

Child of God, following the path of evil shows that you don't know God. It evinces that you have submitted your sonship to the devil and you are a child of the devil.

Following the path of evil portrays your image in a bad light. It makes men to view you from the optical glasses of wickedness.

Following the path of evil is literally tarnishing your image as a Christian. People will surely give a bad report about you when you are threading on the lines of evil.

Beloved, do not follow evil rather always follow the path of righteousness. The choice is yours..

CONFESSION: Father, in this world that is corrupted with evil, always direct my steps so that I will not follow the path of evil, in Jesus Christ name.

For further reference:

1 Cor 13:1_10

May God strength you and cause you to depart from evil in Jesus Christ name.

DO NOT FEAR

By Pst Dr JUDE IMHANDOJIEMU

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

The word, “Do not fear” is recorded more than 555 times in the Bible. There are 365 days in a year. That is to say, in each day, we should have many “Do not fear”.

The purpose and object of God in these verses is to silence the fears of His people, and encourage them to confidently trust Him in the face of trouble and adversity.

When God says do not fear, He knows there will be storms or challenges of life. God wants us to be courageous.

God knew that Joshua would be afraid as Moses successor, but God told him not to be afraid, but to be courageous (Joshua 1:9).

God knows there will be threats from enemies and worries about our urgent needs. Beloved, do not fear, have faith in God. What God cannot do does not exist.

If God could put a baby in the womb of Mary without the s***m of a man, will He not make you carry your baby?

If God could make a burning furnace become air-conditioner for Meshach, Shedrack and Abednego, will He not handle that situation in your favour?

If God could lift Joseph from a mere herdsman to become a prime minister in Egypt, do you think He cannot raise you?

If God could stop the sun from going down so as to assist Joshua to continue victory; will He not bypass protocol to grant you your heart desire?

James 4:10 says, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up”.

If God could give Abraham and Sarah a son at age 100 and 90 respectively, If God could open the prison doors and gates for Peter, and If God could dry the Red Sea for the Israelites to cross, so as to escape captivity of Egypt, what do you think He cannot handle to give you joy?

And, if God could close the mouth of lions for Daniel, will He not prevent harm from coming to you?

Child of God, there is no situation or condition that God cannot handle. When fear is staring at you, take the problem and its attendant consequences to God in prayer and bind the Spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7, Luke 18:1).

Do not fear, just have faith in God.

I pray for you, every challenges of life and protracted problems causing fear and reproach will disappear today by the power in the Name of Jesus Christ.

CONFESSION: Heavenly Father, help me to trust in You and not to fear. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on you and let your love cast out all fear from my life in Jesus Christ name.

For further reference:

2Tim 1:7

May the Spirit of Boldness rest upon you from now onwards in Jesus Christ name.
