πŸ“– β€œIt is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” β€” Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)

There are two things that can affect the living but cannot change the eternal condition of the dead:

πŸ”₯ ππ‹π„π’π’πˆππ†π’ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐒.

While a man is alive, prayer can be made for him.

He can repent.

He can turn from sin.

He can receive Christ.

He can be reconciled to God.

He can change the direction of his life.

But once death closes the door of this earthly life, eternity begins.

πŸ”₯ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 πƒπŽπŽπ‘ πŽπ… π„π€π‘π“π‡π‹π˜ πŽπππŽπ‘π“π”ππˆπ“π˜ π‚π‹πŽπ’π„π’.

Death does not give another opportunity for repentance.

Death does not provide another chance to believe the Gospel.

Death does not create another opportunity to surrender to Christ.

The Bible says:

πŸ“– β€œAnd as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” β€” Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)

There is no second earthly life after death.

There is no opportunity after death to go back and correct the decision you made while alive.

πŸ”₯ 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 πˆπ’ π–π‡π˜ π˜πŽπ”π‘ π’πŽπ”π‹ πŒπ”π’π“ 𝐁𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄𝐃 ππ„π…πŽπ‘π„ 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇!

While you are alive, people can pray for you.

While you are alive, people can preach Christ to you.

While you are alive, the Holy Spirit can convict you.

While you are alive, you can repent.

While you are alive, you can cry out to God for mercy.

But when death comes, the opportunity to make that decision on earth is over.

πŸ”₯ πƒπŽ ππŽπ“ π–π€πˆπ“ π”ππ“πˆπ‹ π˜πŽπ” 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃 ππ„π…πŽπ‘π„ π˜πŽπ” ππ„π†πˆπ π“πŽ π“π€πŠπ„ π˜πŽπ”π‘ π’πŽπ”π‹ π’π„π‘πˆπŽπ”π’π‹π˜!

The greatest prayer you can pray for a man is the prayer you pray while he is still alive.

The greatest evangelism is the Gospel preached before death comes.

The greatest opportunity to reconcile a sinner to God is while that sinner still has breath.

πŸ”₯ π–π‡π˜ π–π€πˆπ“?

If you know someone who is far from God, pray for that person NOW.

Preach Christ NOW.

Call them back to God NOW.

If you have offended someone, reconcile NOW.

If you have wandered from Christ, return NOW.

If you are living in sin, repent NOW.

Do not assume that tomorrow will be available.

πŸ“– β€œBehold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” β€” 2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV)

His Gospel is still being preached.

He is calling the sinner.

He is calling the backslider.

He is calling the weary.

He is calling the broken.

He is calling the one who has wandered far from Him.

Blessings can affect the living.

From the pages of Scripture until now, gold has been an issue.

Men have always wanted what God gives without wanting God Himself.

Israel saw the mighty hand of God.

They saw the Red Sea divided.

They ate bread from heaven.

They drank water from the rock.

They experienced God's supernatural preservation.

Yet when Moses went up the mountain, they demanded a god they could see.

And what did they give them?

They exchanged the invisible God who delivered them for a visible god they could manufacture.

And the same spirit is still operating today.

People may no longer bow physically before a golden calf, but many have built their entire lives around another kind of gold.

Money has become their confidence.

Money has become their security.

Money has become their motivation.

One of the greatest tragedies of our generation is that some men who were called to carry the burden of souls have become preoccupied with the burden of material things.

God called them to preach Christ.

They began preaching themselves.

God called them to shepherd souls.

They began building platforms.

God called them to seek the Kingdom.

They began seeking influence.

God called them to carry a cross.

They began carrying a brand.

They started with a calling and ended up chasing a career.

And what about the souls that followed you?

There is something deeply wrong with a generation that wants God's blessings but does not want God's government.

Everybody wants to be independent.

You can have money and still be helpless.

You can have money and lack wisdom.

You can have money and lose your soul.

You can have money and lack peace.

You can have money and be spiritually bankrupt.

Money can buy a bed, but it cannot buy sleep.

The desire to exalt self above God is not new.

The temptation to seek elevation, power and independence from God has always been part of rebellion against divine authority.

Look at Israel in the wilderness.

For forty years, God sustained His people in a place where ordinary economic systems could not sustain them.

There were no supermarkets in the wilderness.

No financial institutions.

No normal business transactions.

Yet God fed them.

God gave them water.

God preserved them.

God supplied their needs.

The wilderness became a testimony that God does not need a human economy to sustain His people.

So why have we reduced God to money?

Why do we think every answer must first pass through our bank account?

Why do we believe that if there is no money, there can be no ministry?

The same God who sustained Elijah by ravens can sustain His servants.

The same God who fed Israel can provide for His people.

The same God who supplied the widow can make a way where there seems to be no way.

The gourd will wither.

The money will finish.

The building will remain behind.

The car will remain behind.

The clothes will remain behind.

The title will remain behind.

The applause will cease.

Your earthly reputation will disappear.

And to the churchgoer:

Why are you in church?

For the gourd?

Or for your soul?

Are you pursuing Godβ€”or merely pursuing what God can give you?

Are you seeking Christβ€”or merely seeking His benefits?

Are you preparing for eternityβ€”or merely preparing for another financial breakthrough?

You can be celebrated by men and rejected by God.

Let pastors recover the burden for the lost.
